The radiator on my Freightliner Cascadia sprang a leak as I crested the Cajon Pass last August (heading east). I was able to drive the truck off the interstate and park next to the Chevron off Rancho Road (the old Summit Inn lot). I figured I would need a wrecker to tow me to a nearby shop, so I called G&M Towing & Recovery. Wrecker driver, Chris arrived quickly and assessed my radiator leak. He asked me if I had a preference on the shop I wanted to get towed to. I told him I wanted to go to West Coast Fleet Services because their shop had good reviews. Chris smiled and said that was a good choice. He also told me that West Coast Fleet Services was only a few miles away and the terrain was literally all downhill. He suggested that since my radiator leak was at the very top of my radiator and that I hadn't actually lost very much coolant, that I just follow him directly to West Coast before they closed shop for the night. I followed Chris right to the bay door of the West Coast shop. And I thanked him for saving me about a thousand dollar tow (You're a good man, Chris... Thank you). West Coast Fleet Services was closing the shop for the night, but Dylan (the shop foreman/lead mechanic) told me he would open up at 6:30am the following day. I slept in my Cascadia that night in their lot, and the next morning, Dylan told me he'd have my truck back on the road by 12:00 noon. Dylan replaced my radiator with a brand new radiator, pressure-tested everything and during that time he also replaced two drive tires for two other commercial trucks that came in for service. Dylan, thank you for getting me back on the road so quickly. And thanks for reminding me to take my radiator core with me as it was still under warranty. Have a 2008 ram 2500 with the 6.7l Cummins I was having some issues with. Found out it had a blown head gasket and some injector problems was referred by a friend to west coast fleet services. Got in contact with the owner Darrik and he got my truck in in a timely manner. He went above and beyond on having the head cut/ block resurfaced, fire ringed the head new arp studs head gasket and all 6 injectors. Truck runs awesome, about a week or 2 after all repair work I had a mishap with a sensor I had previously replaced that was apart of the fuel system he brought the truck back in diagnosed the problem got me a new oem bosh sensor and fixed the issue I was having. Hands down awesome quality and pricing with a fair turn around time. He kept me updated through out the process with pictures and was totally fair on pricing and gave me options on brands / parts to replace with. Would highly recommend him and his crew! Derek and grant over at west coast are some solid guys, they have the knowledge and the know how to get back on the road and fast! With their team they have working there they will get you back rollin ASAP! Best place in town for tires too! If they don't have your size they will have it the next morning. Amazing pricing and customer service. Blew radiator on top of Cajon like everyone else eventually does. Did the radiator at midnight in two hours. Only $3k wish for a midnight radiator is almost unheard of. Ended up having to do the reservoir the following morning and that was only an hour and 500 bucks and they stopped everything to take care of me which is also unheard of. I have a 2018 Ram 2500 I brought here for some upgrades. Darrik and his guys knocked it out of the park with their service and attention to detail. My truck runs great and has improved fuel economy.
