We were in Kapolei for vacation and decided to get tattoos! We called and Bula was great, he let us know it is best to come in to show them what we wanted and to put a deposit down. The only issue I had is when we went in the first time, I was speaking to their piercer, Taj about putting a ball on my nipple ring, of course I lost it. He was quite rude about it, I didn't know my gauge size and when I showed him he said he doesn't know and I should go back to where I got it pierced. I told him I have them for over 20 years, he wouldn't help me at all even after I told him I would pay for new jewelry. The tattoo experience was the exact opposite of the piercer conversation. He did a great job! I showed him what I wanted as a rough draft and told him to have some fun. He did a great job! I would absolutely go back to get more when I am there next. His prices are what they should be for quality work and his personality makes it even better! read more

My experience here was kinda awful. I popped in to have my labret piercing (jewelry) removed. I've had it for just under a year and wanted it out because it was always irritated and just never healed properly (note: I did not get the piercing here). I was informed it would be $30 to remove the jewelry which I agreed to and went to the back. So once I'm in the back he asks why I want it out (I explain even tho I don't see why that matters). Once I say that I don't think it's ever properly healed, he then tells me it's gonna be $80 to remove the jewelry since it's now considered an "open wound". Skeptical, (because I've never heard anything like that in my life), I agree, because I desperately want this jewelry out. The man proceeds to open supplies, clamp my lip and starts trying to twisting off the jewelry (threaded barbell with gemstone). That doesn't work, he attempts a different tool. Again doesn't work. Goes to the next tool to help twist it off. I bring my partner back to sit with me at this point, because it's starting to get irritated and hurt from all the twisting and turning of the jewelry. So as he's continuing to turn it and question me if I'm absolutely sure it's not pushpin jewelry, my partner noticed he's turning the jewelry to the right and asks if he shouldn't be trying to turn it to the left to loosen it. He said he was trying both ways "just in case". Um, what!? Anyways, fast forward about 15 minutes- he can't loosen it. He's tried like 7 different tools. He tells me my options are to go to the doctor and get it surgically removed OR try harder to heal it. He then asks me what I've actually done to heal the piercing (accusing me of using peroxide lol. I have three piercings in my face and several in each ear. I'm not a novice. And I definitely know how to clean and heal my piercings). He then tried to sell me the shops' saline product and says that I haven't really tried to heal it because I haven't tried their saline... At this point, I'm so annoyed and ask what I owe for the attempt - $20 - which I paid and left. I wouldn't trust this person to pierce anyone considering his lack of ability to simply remove jewelry. And before you ask - I tried at home to remove it. I have extremely long nails and couldn't grasp it properly. I also don't have the proper tools for someone else to do it because unless you clamp the barbell properly the actual gemstone just spins. So in order to avoid irritating it more and avoid infection from over handling it - I went to a "professional". I'd definitely find a more reputable piercing shop if you're in the market for a new piercing or getting jewelry changed out or removed. This guy (I think his name was Taj) didn't seem to know what he was doing. read more

I had been thinking about a tattoo for a few years now. I did some research and talked to three different shops. All the shops and the artist were good and would have been happy with any of them. I decided on West Coast ink after speaking with Chev. Super cool artist who told me he could do what I wanted. Chev spent a few mins explaining what TO expect, cost, dates available, etc... I got a Poly arm tattoo and did it in back to back sittings. Chev worked hard and got this done for me in about 10 hours total (2 sittings). Awesome work and I'm so happy I decided on this shop and using Chev. Clean place, nice people and customers. I will be going back to do more. So here we go.....Me and my hubby were wanting to get one year wedding anniversary tattoos and this place was the only one open (Sunday) so we decided to go here we only wanted very same matching tattoos thinking it would be around $30-$60 each plus tip, so after everything is said and done and don't get me wrong we love the art is exactly what we wanted and nice straight lines (two stars) but when we asked how much we owed to our surprise he said $120 EACH when I tell you we had to try soooo hard to keep our cool then he tells us that there is a minimum of $100 for setting up his equipment and since he had already finished we couldn't do anything . We love the tatts but nvr coming back to this place especially after finding out we could have gotten them done still professionally for $20-$30 each. ‍ read more

Would leave zero stars if possible. Horrible customer service and let an unsupervised apprentice tattoo me. I'm extensively tattooed. I've NEVER had a tattoo get infected and lose all of its ink. When I went in a month later (to get a touch up) they said I should have come in sooner. I couldn't come in sooner because it took WAY too long to heal. I've had 5 other tattoos since then and none of them got "gooey" like the one I got at this place. Infection and "hamburger" skin. Two other artists literally made the *yikes* face when they saw it. read more

My friend and I got nose piercings with a nose hook. I already have a nose piercing, so I personally do not have a problem with nose hooks I just prefer a stud, but this store surprisingly does not sell studs for a piercing shop. The piercer, Taj, gave incorrect healing times for the both of us. He said it takes 6-8 weeks to fully heal when it's suppose to take 6 months. Throughout the entire session, Taj gave an unnecessary amount of attitude. Not to mention the fact that they have no "Cash Only" sign hung up. Would not recommend this shop for a piercing. read more

Went in for help with a new piercing that had fallen out, was told by a condescending employee that it was my fault and there was nothing he could do. Fixed it later that night myself. Then a week later (today), walked in to inquire about a tattoo appointment, I was not greeted and stood waiting for 10 mins before even being acknowledged. I actually Yelp this shop before I went, the reviews were on the money. I didn't have a appointment. I really happy they were able to take me as a wlak in. My artist was Olivia. She was really good, I had a font i found online that i wanted to use. She asked me to airdrop to her i pad and she drew it out. Once she drew it out we placed it on my forearm (only had redo the placement once) and we got started. She a light touch. She's a rockstar!!! After months of really considering getting a tattoo and having the courage to go in to a tattoo shop to get it done I finally went in with a friend to make an appointment. The tattoo artist was very friendly and open minded about the tattoo my friend wanted. So we made an appointment.. my friend had more of a detailed work than mine, which was just a lifeline with a wave. So we waited 2 weeks.. The day finally comes and it's show time! We get in and immediately the tattoo artist tells me that I will be next (which was the idea when we first had connection with him). So midway through he tell me that my tattoo will have to wait until tomorrow.. Ok, so honestly I am pretty bummed about it. And all day it crushed me because I really wanted this tattoo. Yes, it was only just a day later but the fact that I did have that courage to walk in and make the appointment and was excited for well over those two weeks (more like MONTHS). This tattoo mattered to me and I just felt like I was thrown to the side. I decided that I won't be going back and it will probably take another few months or so to get that courage again. On to my friends tattoo.. he did a VERY good job on his tattoo. He was very detailed and it was beautiful. My friend also told me that the tattoo artist (Buddha) was very delicate through the process. I do recommend this tattoo shop. My experience has nothing to do with the work here at this tattoo shop. The pictures you see does not do this place justice! They really are that good! But because of my experience, I will be giving this place 4/5 stars.
