Shockingly bad service and inferior parts. It used to be that WCM was one of the "go-to" sites for quality VW parts but since the passing of their founder a few years ago things have gone dramatically downhill. Of my last 5 orders, I have had serious issues with at least 3 of them. Parts that were defective, incorrect, or just downright poor quality. Even worse, the guy who appears to be running the place now is an argumentative jackass and has absolutely no idea how to treat his best customers. I actually had to charge back my credit card after wasting hours sending emails to which no one responded and making calls that went nowhere. For better parts and MUCH better service I highly recommend Wolfsburg West for all of you VW parts needs. read more

4.24.23 Sad to say the business is not what Loren began it to be decades ago . Almost all the rubber grommets are now generic Chinese crap and don't fit well and surely look nothing like the originals . It's clear that the new owners are sourcing from lowest price suppliers, not the way it once was . I've been a VW Mechanic for well over 50 years and they've lost my business permanently . The sales rep Angel seems to be the he most eager and helpful sales person I've dealt with with any of the vendors I purchase from. They used to be really good a long time ago. I ordered some items from them and they did not match the pictures on the website. It was basically their mistake and I know things happen. I got them to send me a return label. It took them a little bit of time to refund me . I had to remind them. The worst part is they shorted me money back for something that was there mistake. I'm not impressed with their customer service. I used to deal with them years ago with a wholesale account and they were always really good. So I am not sure what has happened with this place. read more

West Coast Metric is an amazing VW shop. They have everything you might need to restore or repair a VW no matter how old it is. Angel Fuentes went the extra mile when he found out that they did not carry a certain trim for "pop-out" windows for our 1970 VW Fastback. This trim matched trim that they carried for the front windshield and rear window. He got busy, and in one day got the trim for us and shipped it. The main point of this message is to let everyone know the amazing customer service you will receive and also, if you don't see the part you need in their online store, just give them a call to see if they can get it for you. read more

We bought a 1970 VW convertible windshield seal and trim that was absolute garbage. I thought WCM would offer a decent product but this was a huge let down. the trim does not stay in the channel and the seal leaves major gaps at the edges. The bottom line is that I wasted over100 dollars with shipping and six hours struggling over a product that should never be recommended or sold in the first place. It is going in the trash where it belongs. I have worked for many years at a VW shop and replaced these before with the correct German seal that has molded edges. They fit like a glove and take about 1 hour to install. read more

I'm new to the VW world and purchased 6 items from here totaling a whopping $241.66. No big until I received my parts. The dash plastic cover with wood grain was a lower quality than I was expecting. We tried to dry fit it into place it was a no go. No problem we'll just return it right? HAHAHAHA! The return policy is to email returns@westcoastmetric.com with your order # in the tag line. Then you will receive an email back with your RMA number. OK no problem. Since I didn't receive a return shipping label, I called to find out how to get one. The gentleman responsible for this was on the phone so could I leave a message and he would get back to me later that day, sure no problem. 3 days later we call back the woman who answered went from friendly to irritated then transfers us to Mike Hole. Who starts off with I replied to your email so I'm not sure what the problem is. So, I explained I left a voicemail requesting a call back and I have not received one. He assured me he responded to my voicemail via email which I never received hence me calling again. Our conversation got heated because I questioned who pays for return shipping which I had already paid $34.14 for. He said I would need to pay for return shipping because they don't pay for that, IF they give me a refund then I would also be charged a restocking fee. Which he let me know was on their website at checkout. Which I did not see. Again, the conversation got heated and I asked him not to speak over me or talk down to me. Then my husband hears the commotion So Mike says we can call and yell at someone else and hung up on us. All because I questioned the fairness of paying $34.14 in shipping to receive my item. $34.14 to return my item and a $27.99 restocking fee. Which means I would have received back $43.68 on a $139.95 part that I ordered that did not fit my car. So all this to say buyer beware of this company and there return policies. Called them the other day and they were very helpful!! The Todd (the owner) contacted me to see if I could give them a second chance to do business. He was honest, sorry for what had happened and he followed through with some part information for me. He also told me that though some of his competitors parts may be cheaper, its because they are Made in China and many of his parts are higher quality and Made in the USA! I was looking at bus steering wheels and the cheaper one was in fact made in China. I support American made products ( if they are better), so this is a big issue for me. If West Coast Metrics is going the extra step to manufacture here, that means more US jobs! I support that and I will use his company. read more
