I feel like most auto parts stores themselves are pretty much the same, so this 5 star review is for Carlos!! I truly don't know what I would have done without him today. I stopped in to get a replacement bulb for my headlight and not only did he help me find the right one, he replaced both of my headlight bulbs for me! I decided to refill my windshield wiper fluid while the hood was open, but accidentally poured it into the coolant! Carlos got multiple different tools to suction all the windshield fluid out, then found the right antifreeze/coolant I needed and filled it back up for me. On top of everything, he was SO nice the whole time he was fixing my incredibly stupid mistake. Called this store location in search of a wheels stud for my vehicle, when the employee picked up the phone I gave him the right information for the wheel stud and he continued to tell me that the studs are in the back but it would take him to long to look for the wheel stud I needed.with out a chance to speak he quickly tried pawning me off to the store on 190 but I told him that I was unable to commute to that location because my cars wheel studs broke off I then make my way to the store and I am met with a employee that had no meaning in helping and he just told me that there all in a container in the back and what I could just go back of the counter where customers are not allowed to go and to find it for my self never going back to this location I would rather blow my brains out then go back to this booty ass store read more

So I thought my clutch on mustang was going out because on my way home from work Friday I was having trouble shifting it and out of my gears, so I called a friend and he told me to put some clutch fluid in it ( didn't even know they had fluid for that) before I spend a arm and leg taking it a shop. He told me to find out where the clutch fluid goes and try that (easier said than done) so after looking at my manual for my car and looking under the hood and FaceTiming my friend we couldn't figure it out, so I we went into Auto Zone and I told the sales person my issue and she looked it up and it seems that my year and model car I can pot the brake fluid inside where the clutch fluid goes and it serves a dual purpose. So I went home and pumped my clutch pedal 50X like it said on youtube, then put the clutch fluid in where the brake fluid goes and my car went through 1-5 gears with no problem compared to how I was struggling to go into gear Friday on my way home from work i will know for sure tomorrow on the way to work so stay tuned, and I doubted the salesperson knowing anything because she was a female man was I wrong. read more

Store manager needs to do better and the workers need to know their boundaries. They are not certified mechanics. The issue that I had is how very very controlling the guy was. I came in the store, trying to be a regular customer when I approached him. I asked him and told him what I was looking for. I have a newer model car and sometimes AutoZone don't have newer available parts. I have wanted to buy a single reservoir cap, they're very cheap. He searched it up and it showed that they didn't have anything showing for that which was for the fact of my car being a newer model car so I asked him if I can see of the reservoir caps and I would like to buy them and test them myself, even if I can't refund them or anything. With that being said exactly like that it's like do you not comprehend what I say and I had to repeat myself three different times to the point where we're basically arguing you don't wanna show me or tell me where the caps are and it's like what type of customer service are you doing G? I also had another issue one time when I was there with a battery and I went to a previous AutoZone because once again AutoZone aren't professional mechanics or certified at all, I went to go get a battery charge for about a good two hours. when I came back to pick it up, they told me that it was a healthy battery and it was fully charged. when I put it back in my car. It does not start so I go to this location a dude decides he's gonna test it out and then that's when he tells me that I had no voltage and it was overcharged and too warm which already probably damage the battery and that he will check to see if it's healthy or not, but I had a warranty for the battery so he brings it to my attention whether or not I had a warranty or not, and I told him that I did and then I asked him can I use the warranty and he said yeah I could and then he was like I can try to test this battery and see if it charges up for you, but I wasn't trying to wait and it was just like he was trying so hard to push me not to use the warranty and wait for the battery to charge, but I'm not gonna take a battery that y'all charged up overcharged lie to me and said that it was healthy and charged up just for it to be dead no voltage so I might as well have another battery anyways, anyways, after having to repeat myself again, knowing that he tested the battery and it has no charge, which is clearly the issue with my problems he decides to go and grabs the battery. I use my warranty and then he's gonna have the nerve to say, I hope that fixes your problems y'all to old to be acting like kids read more

If your a girl try to avoid this store. It's like pulling teeth for them to assist you. There was 3 of them not doing anything and when I asked for help with a scanner they gave it to me to go fend for myself. When the actual plug was difficult to locate in my car. I went back in and finally got someone to come out and help me use the stupid machine. He had also a hard time locating the plug. This is sad. If you're a car noob, they have the right staff there to lead you towards finding what you need for your vehicle without over-selling you with some bull. Whenever I go to this particular Autozone, their manager Will is ALWAYS very helpful. The guy has a great attitude and he tells it like it is and conducts himself well. You can go to regular car dealerships where they will charge you an arm and a fecal matter at times, but you can count on this particular Autozone to give you the goods. It's seriously like entering a Yelp for car advice because they give you real honest answers from real people. Although the original cashier that helped me out seem like a really nice dude he overcharged me for a fifth bottle of fuel injector cleaner and as I was leaving I noticed the overcharge and I came back in the store in a different person help me out and he saw the charge and he offered to give me the fifth bottle but the problem is is that those bottles are buy one get one free so in reality I lost out on that fifth bottle that I was really not trying to buy in the first place by not getting that one free part! read more

I give this Auto Zone 4 stars for their customer service. I've been here a few times and each employee that I encountered was nice. On this recent trip, I went there to unload some motor oil from the oil change i had done over the weekend. Usually, the employees of car parts places point to the back of the store and tell you where you can dump your oil, but here, the lady at the front counter took my two bottles of oil and took care of them for me. I was especially grateful because I had just gotten off of work and I was wearing white pants that day. No matter how careful I was, I was doomed to get them dirty. They are selling counterfeit products. I bought the Original formula of Armor All. The original was milky white and worked well. The one I bought at this place was clear liquid and is watery, it is almost like using liquid water. After I sprayed a very coat, after it dried the tire didn't look black, it looked like dry rubber. I boug other car products from this place before and they didn't work as the real products from other store. The only reason I went this time was that it was near me and I was on my way home from the gym. Their workers also are unfriendly and seems like they wish they weren't there. read more

On Tuesday, December 10, 2019, I walked into AutoZone Auto Parts in Torrance clueless on which light bulb to purchase as a replacement for my rear tail light signal. A gentleman by the name of Sokah came to the rescue! Not only was he able to pinpoint the exact item for my vehicle, but he even went above and beyond by installing the light bulb for me. Exceptional service. I went to go start my car on a Saturday morning only to find my battery was dead. Thought my weekend was ruined. Luckily my neighbor gave me a jump, and told me to get a new battery at AutoZone. I walked in and was greeted by Maile. I explained I needed a new battery. She asked me for the make and model of my car, looked it up, and found the right battery. I asked her if she could help me install it in my car, me being completely clueless. She said absolutely. I still had the original battery from when I bought the car in 2008, and had never switched batteries before. She got a dolly and wheeled the battery out there (it's pretty heavy). Popped the hood, and she knew exactly what to do. She had all the necessary tools as well. We worked together to unfasten the hooks, loosen the screws, and haul the old one out. Took a little maneuvering, but we did it! Car started up like a charm. Now I know how to replace a car battery. Thanks to Maile, she really helped me out. The battery cost $130 with a two year warranty. Seemed like good value to me. read more

Called for parts for a certain performance vehicle. Just filters to be exact, and I couldn't believe my ears. The employee at this location asked if I would like a universal Mobile 1 filter for a 6.0 using regular oil.? First off, what 6.0 or greater uses regular oil.? Let alone the engine size he is seeing on the computer. A car guy would automatically know you're dealing with a SS or something sporty. Who uses normal oil and a universal filter for a performance vehicle.? This kid ended up saying he has a LS3 6.2 and it runs fine lol.... This generation of lost souls is ridiculous. The lies won't stop, poor kid. Only advice, stop answering the phone or quit. read more

I went to my regular Auto zone on Carson street at the top of the hour when they opened 8am there was two Employees that I noticed were there when I came into the store i knew What i was looking for but didn't get any greeting but proceeded to look for what I needed as I'm looking around someone finally says "you know what you're looking for" I continued to say sure do you guys carry fix a flat The young gentleman reply with a yes right down that aisle to the left as I passed it the young lady let me know that it was a little bit behind towards the left, Continuing I purchased the item with the young gentleman At the register which told me my price was 11 and change which I gave him a $50 bill he gave me a lot of fives and a few ones with no receipt I continued out the store on about my business. A couple hours go bye and I realize that I have a few nails in my tire and I won't be needing the fix a flat anymore at this point now I'm looking for my receipt That wasn't given to me at the end of my purchase so I called the store to speak with the gentleman that I purchased the item with let to see if I was able to get a refund and to let them know that I didn't get a receipt but didn't need the item and never used it he told me if it was clean I could bring it back just have the receipt I stated to him that "you never gave me a receipt" He then let me know that it was fine just bring it in and We'll take care of you. But when I get back to the store the Manager asked me for receipt in which I was never given I told the manager that she was there when I purchase the item early this morning with the younger gentlemen she offered me store credit because I didn't have the receipt that her employee didn't give me after my purchase. I had to have an ID to get store credit but in this case I didn't have it at the time So I asked could I use my auto zone rewards card to identify who I am and put it on my rewards cards since I am a regular I was Told that would not work they needed an ID. So I have my girlfriend come use her ID and # which is linked to the same rewards card for AutoZone in my name popped up in which case I could've used my number like I asked in the first place very bad customer service overall could've been handled without me being treated as if I didn't buy it there in the first place. Just visited this Auto Zone tonight. I just want to say thank you to the associate Nicholas who greeted my bf and I as soon as we walked in and asked what he could help us with. He promptly assisted us and even followed up with us again as he was closing up the store. (We were still outside discussing my car issues). Getting good customer service when you visit this autozone is always hit or miss. I walked in w my sister to get a new battery for my car, the manager was at the counter but of course didn't offer to help. Another worker seen this & decided to help us. After asking me what car I had & looking it up he finally came back w the battery after what felt like awhile. I assume he was asking his manager for some help. After putting in the new battery it begins to spark & my horn goes of continuously, then is when we realize they gave us the wrong battery ‍ my electrical system is fried & what once was a $150 problem is now close to $1000 read more

Staff here always seems to be changing. I guess it could be a good or bad thing. They always have a lot of questions to ask when you try to return an item that's covered under their warranty and give you the run around on it. I had a starter that wouldn't work in the car, but it always worked on their amped up load tester. So they keep saying it's fine, when it obviously isn't. Then they say if they send a good product back to the manufacturer, they don't get credit for it. So I told them how about you reinstall it and see that it doesn't work and that it got me stranded in DTLA, where I had to kick start the car. These guys know their stuff and are willing to answer your questions and help you find what your looking for. I usually find that products are significantly cheaper here compared to most other auto parts stores locally. They have a much more lenient return policy in regards to parts and tools by comparison to Cragen who sucks when it comes to that. I also prefer this location over the Autozone on Carson Blv. in Carson who always seem to have rude douchbags running the place whom take forever to produce a thought in their tiny idiot brains. They had their doors locked early and I had to beg for them to open their doors.
