I explained I had been scammed before with other past phone purchases with other people buying online and the woman at the front desk assured me that everything would go just fine and it definitely did! Not only did she help me with the purchase but she was very pleasant to talk to. She even went over the top and made sure that my girlfriend and her son had a place to sit and even put a Movie on for the little one while they waited. Would not charge. Came back a few days later and the guy threw the cord in the trash, gave me a new one and said this was he guarantees will work. OK that's cool. Go home and this one shows charging on my office but after charging all night only moved up to 10% charged. Called my phone company and they said they would send me a charger. Great Go back here to get a refund and the guy at counter said he won't refund me. Started being real disrespectful and trying to bs me with cell phone lingo. When I wouldn't fall for it he started yelling at me and started waving bye to me. This made me angry and I really wanted to teach the young kid a lesson. I left and told him I would write about my experience on yelp. He said he doesn't give a f and that he would make more reviews from his friends to counteract my bad one. Hmmm shady. They replaced it quickly for no extra cost because it was still within the warranty period for repairs. Side note, before I returned to Smart Fix, I went to the Apple Store at the Northridge Mall. Even though I had an appointment, I was kept waiting for 45 minutes. When a technician finally saw me he told me I shouldn't have gone outside Apple for the screen repair. I was then told that the watch was useless and my only option was to buy another watch. Smart Fix was quick, friendly, helpful, and gracious about repairing the defective replacement screen. No upsell. Just human decency.

Be careful with this place. Nelson Diaz charged me $250 for a phone screen, telling me it was "high…read morequality." Today, I went to another technician and had the screen checked in front of me. He showed me everything and explained that the screen installed was actually a very cheap replacement screen. Most good-quality replacement screens usually cost around $140-$160, and even the cheaper ones are around $100-$130. Charging $250 for the cheapest quality screen is insane. I would understand if it was an original screen, but it wasn't. After the repair, my phone started overheating and the battery started draining much faster than before. Now I understand why. If you don't believe this review, just compare prices yourself at other repair shops -- but don't go to the places he recommends. Ask around independently and you'll quickly realize how overpriced this guy is. He talks very nicely at first, but in my experience, he completely ripped me off. Be careful.
