my phone was "repaired by insurance " and I pay the monthly fee for it and they told me my whole phone was going to get fixed all 360 and the dude told me that he wasn't going to fix it bc he he isn't sure if insurance would fix it. Instead of trying to figure something out. i got my phone back and the front screen is fixed but the screen is pushed into the phone more then it's supposed to because you can see the frame is out more and you can feel it around! Ok, I'm old and I'm cheap. My iPhone 11 was in limp mode. It wouldn't take a charge and I was sure it needed replacing. BEWARE! I brought my Steam Deck in for a cleaning. It was fully functional when I dropped it off. When they returned it, it was broken. They still charged me full price for the cleaning. When I brought this up to them they said it came in broken. But they specifically asked for my PIN to the device so they could test everything before doing any work. They never raised any issues beforehand only after the cleaning was done. They said that there aren't any new replacement parts available, they said they could find used parts at an exorbitant price. They didn't really try to make it right. Feels like they murdered my boy and played me for a fool. A little over a month ago, I took my iPhone XS into CPR for suspected water damage and a new battery. Turns out I needed a new screen as well. They initially didn't think there was water damage so they didn't quote me for that, but after opening it up, it turns out there was some corrosion - so they cleaned out the corrosion at no extra cost, which I really appreciated. The whole thing took only about an hour! I would say my phone works almost as good as new and definitely good enough to pass on to my kids when the 14 comes out. Battery health is still 100%. I am amazed at the high quality customer service this cell phone repair business provides. They were able to repair and replace the battery in my IPhone 6 that almost burst open and distorted the case that appeared warped. They charged me for just the OEM Apple battery and were able to transfer 1000 songs that did not sync with my new IPhone SE from my old IPhone 6 without any additional charges. I tipped them $20 anyway for the extra trouble they went through. There were a constant string of customers who came in for repairs and service while I was there and were very helpful diagnosing issues that ppl had.
