Horrible experience with this place! I have to preface this by saying I hate leaving negative reviews. I have never left a one star review before because I've found most businesses are willing to make things right when they've wronged a customer. In this case, they not only didn't make things right- they made things worse. The other day I noticed that my iPhone was not charging consistently, and wanted to have someone inspect the battery port for debris or water damage. Not a major repair at that point, the phone was otherwise fine. I emphasized this when I came in to the shop. The store associate Robert told me he would do a diagnostic and that I should come back in 15-30 minutes. I came back an hour later and he still hadn't gotten to it. Waited another thirty while he helped other customers. Finally, he took my phone in the back office, returned not long after and told me that I had battery port corrosion and that while he was doing the diagnostic my screen broke. He blamed me, saying I probably dropped my phone a lot and weakened the internal screen (I don't drop my phone a lot, and I have a high quality screen protector and case, and have never had screen issues before). He told me now I had to pay to repair both of those things, and that he would have to order the parts and couldn't even repair it for several days. He handed me back my phone, coerced me into pre paying for the parts and was rude and defensive when I told him that this whole thing didn't feel right. I went in for a small thing to get evaluated and left spending over $100 (with more due upon repair) for him to give me back a damaged phone. The screen had horrible bright lines all over it and I could barely see anything. I went to the Oaks mall and shared my experience with another repair tech who also looked at my phone. He confirmed what I expected which was that the screen breaking was not due to wear and tear but rather from shoddy work and negligence during diagnostic. He offered to fix my phone then and there for a reduced rate. I called Robert to cancel the order and request a refund. He not only refused to refund me for services not rendered, he was continuously rude and condescending to me and then my husband when we pressed for a refund. He then went on to state that I was clearly someone who doesn't treat my phones well based on the fact that I was a returning customer (yes-- I have had my kids iPad repaired there once and bought a screen protector for my phone there before). I honestly don't know what is more upsetting to me-- the damage to my phone or the way I was treated. I get that there are a lot of fine print disclaimers with a phone repair but considering I went in for a conservative issue and left with extensive damage doesn't sit right with me-- and a good business should do right by their customer. read more

My phone took an obscene amount of time to fix with a red flag in the beginning I should have paid more attention to: 12/20 Phone screen cracked and half the screen is black so I emailed on Yelp for a quote. They are the cheapest so I decide to go here (I've since learned my lesson). Get there about 1 and the door is locked but hours say they're open. A neighbor heard me knock on the door and told me the guy was probably out to lunch (with no sign saying when they'll be back) but before I could leave, they called him and he said he's walking back over. I'm told the cost to fix my phone is $50 more than was told previously but I'm already there so I tell him fine. He orders the part and tells me it'll be in by Monday 12/23 I'm told the part is in so I go to get it fixed. When I arrive, the worker tells me that "they sent the wrong color" (black instead of purple) and asked if I still wanted it. The color doesn't really matter to me at that point, I just want to be able to see my screen, so I tell him fine and pick my phone up about an hour later with tape holding the screen in place so "the glue has time to set" which never happens 12/29 Go back because glue is not holding my phone together. They reglue it 12/30 Go back because glue is not holding my phone together. They reglue it and mention my battery might be swollen and if it doesn't work this time, I'll need a new battery (another $90). I ask why that wasn't mentioned when the phone was first "repaired" and was told they must have missed it 1/4 I go into iProtech and tell them something is wrong and they need to fix it. They tell me it's my battery for sure and my phone won't close until I replace it. I head to another phone repair place and ask if they can give me a second opinion on my phone. My phone is opened up, I'm shown my battery is not swollen, screws are missing, what they ordered to repair my phone was not a Samsung product (Samsung doesn't have matte black products), things are sticking out that shouldn't be (such as the S-pen), AND told they aren't supposed to use glue (3M tape is to be used). I go back to iProtech and tell them I want my money back or they need to order the right parts for my phone and fix it correctly (he did admit they use 3rd party products). I'm told it will be ordered and ready Tuesday. 1/14 I'm called saying the parts are in and I ask what happened to last Tuesday. I'm told they called. I called him out as I don't have any missed calls or voicemails. I go in, confirm that they have the correct case/screen that's from Samsung, and leave my phone for an hour. Upon returning I'm told it WAS my battery but they replaced it for free. Suuuuuure. 1/20 Phone is finally looking and sticking together appropriately. The only reason they get 2 stars is they finally fixed it. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Brought in my broken screen to get it fixed for over $200 to have it only break again within 24 hours. They didn't honor the warranty, blamed me, and when i brought it to a different store they informed me that the screen was never fixed and had missing screws completely. I hate writing a negative review as this is my first time doing it but if i can save someone else from the headache then so be it. Do NOT bring your phone here. Absolutely terrible humans. read more

I've been to this location a few times over the years for iPhone and iPad repairs. They're located just past the movie theatre and corner bakery in the Simi Valley mall. Open weekends!! My recent visit for an older iPad home button repair led to a bumpy experience where I had to return to have it repaired again, but they ultimately made it right. I'd normally consider this a less than stellar experience, but repairing electronics isn't the easiest work. While I was there, I noticed that they get a lot of walk ins with people who need help with many kinds of devices. They're clearly knowledge about most phones and can generally tell you what is worth repairing, I'd consider them hardware experts. read more

I recently had them install a new screen for my iPhone 12 pro. The less experienced technician I first dealt with told me that my phone would be receiving a screen protector on it...which proved to not be true as, several days later, not only was my iPhone screen cracked worse than before (and with little effort), but there was a piece literally missing from the screen! I came in and spoke to a different gentleman by the name of Adrian. Due to my predicament, he was able to get the greenlight from his bosses to get me a new screen free of charge, and was able to get it done in about 15 minutes! I even got to watch him do the job right in front of me. On top of that, I received service with a smile and a friendly handshake. Absolute professionalism! Adrian also assured me that he would be providing more training for his other technicians. He also gave me a heads up on when I might need a new battery for this particular phone, which is very helpful to know. Due to this experience, I would ABSOLUTELY go back to these guys to have work done on my phone (especially if Adrian is there). THESE GUYS ARE ABSOLUTE CROOKS! Adrian broke my screen when I went in to get my charging port replaced. When I came back to pick up my phone he told me my screen was separated and it was like that when I brought it in. COMPLETE BULLSHIT because my screen has no issues beforehand. He tried to charge me $300 for a new screen and it was absolute garbage. It had a screen clarity and movement of an iPhone 3 and when I touched the screen the color distorted like I was touching a plasma TV. It worked for a whole 3 minutes before completely freezing. He offered to put a new screen in and I had the same issue. Then this guy had balls to say that my phones frame must be bent! He refused to try anything else or help me in any other way. I finally just had enough and told him to put my old screen back on. I dealt with a non functioning screen for a day and a half until I could get a REAL company to fix it with ACTUAL APPLE PRODUCTS! on February 10, 2025 I walked into the phone repair shop for the phone that I thought was completely destroyed. The iPhones front plate was separated from the body of the phone. I can keep the phone working as long as I had it plugged in but as soon as I unplugged it, it died on me. Spectrum told me it was gonna cost $200 to have that repaired so I went next-door to the I Protech phone repair and he took care of it for $67. I have visited this store on two occasions in the past year for assistance on my older Apple iPhone 6. In both cases, a battery, and lightning A port needing replacement this week; Apple tried to high pressure UP SELL me into a new phone which frugal people like me are not willing to buy. Apple is a rip off company, and they actually lied about the battery stating water was inside, something which iPro confirmed afterwards didn't exist, when they replaced the battery well over one year ago now. The owner of this store is a no nonsense professional who fixed both problems quickly, efficiently, professionally and reasonably priced so I can continue using the iPhone with all of its features and not get suckered into another one of their nearly $1,000 phone games. We went in this afternoon with my daughters smashed iPhone 5s screen. I just took the phone in again because the camera was foggy and was told that I needed a new battery, umm they sold me and installed one last time I was there. Avoid these guys. About 6 weeks ago I called the Simi location to request a battery for my iPhone. I chatted with them via Yelp and got a price and was told it was in stock. When I arrived at the store nobody was there. There was a note left on the door saying they would be back in a few minutes. After waiting 15 minutes I chatted with the owner via Yelp and he said that the worker had left for an emergency and he told me to come back later. About 4 hours later I called the store and there was a worker at the store. I drove back again only to find out that they did not have the battery in stock, but they did have one at their store in the Oaks Mall. I then proceeded to drive to the Oaks Mall and they indeed had the battery and installed it quickly and with a smile. After I told the owner that I would be writing a Yelp review he gave me 50% off of the battery for my trouble. It took me a total of about 2.5 hours to get this battery. PS: I had to fly the next day, which is why I had such urgency and made the phone calls before I went shopping. read more

My iPhone charging port was damaged when trying to clean it out. I had an appointment at the Apple Store and once there was told by an Apple rep that there is nothing that Apple can do to replace or fix the charging port. I told the rep all I wanted was my recent vacation pictures off the phone and since it was less than 1% power, is there any other way to at least access the memory??? The rep said that there was nothing the Apple Store could do. (No my recent pics weren't saved to iTunes or the cloud). He suggested that I go try the independent phone repair place a few doors down. Wow! So I ended up inside iProtech and explained what Apple said. Within minutes the guy opened up my phone and finagled a "back-door" way to charge my phone. He told me to come back in about 30 minutes and when I did I had about 60% charged, enough to upload my pictures and other content. He wouldn't charge me for his service but I was very appreciative that he was so kind to help me. This place can fix the charging port too but I have yet to go back and repair that since they didn't have the part on hand. I'm so glad that I discovered this place in case I ever need glass replaced or other phone repairs. read more

My sons iPhone was not charging and had a cracked screen. I used the Yelp* application to get some repair estimates and iProtech came in with the best estimate from a nearby establishment. We arrived 45 minutes prior to close of business on. Sunday evening and the service pro, Hector did a quick diagnostic, told us the repairs that were needed to make the phone operable again as well as estimated costs with original or aftermarket parts and a repair time of 30 minutes!!!! True to his word, we came back into the store and Hector had completed the job on time and at the agreed price! (No extra costs!) This place has good reviews, so I went in for a simple screen replacement. I wish I had just kept my phone cracked because now I've got 2 distorted lines on my display and though I paid for an "OEM" screen the coloring is COMPLETELY off. Everything is much more yellow, making reds look rust colored or orangish, greens more lime and blues darker. There's also a distinguishable odd white fade to the bottom of my display. At this point I'd rather get a refund. My phone was much better with a crack rather than this messed up coloring and display. read more
