But I can at least guarantee that the mall is always lively and there's plenty of parking. Lots of restaurants around and across the street too. What I like best about this mall is their effort to foster community here, such as the Dia de los Muertos display or when I happened to walk pass a Bluey Xmas dance party and you can take pictures with Santa AND Bluey. Super cute. One time years and years ago, they had a scavenger hunt for Christmas where you search around the mall to take photos with your phone for an ornament. I really liked that I did that and got to spend time with my family. I've seen so many shops come and go here and pieces of my childhood through adolescence such as the Disney Store (I remember spending time here looking through that giant plushie pile), the merry go round, Surf City Squeeze (always thought their mascot looked cool, now replaced with a Pop Mart vending machine), Nothing But Silver (went here lots with my mom and aunts), Sanrio Surprise, Amapola Deli and Market (crazy they tried to open a market in here), the hermit crab vendor, McDonald's that my mom would always get my brother and I and the vendors that would try to sell stickers at our table, the dollar store on the upper floor above Baskin Robbins, the used bookstore and so much more. Huge chunk of nostalgic memories for me, but today it's decent mall with most things that you would need. Some shops I go to often to get gifts or pick up something for myself, See's (thanks for closing PH location), Hot Topic, Bath and Body Works, Miniso, etc. At least the Tilt arcade here is still open. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but if you're already here, might as well enjoy malls before more of them perish.

Value is in the eye of the beholder!…read more There are deals if you look for them. This mall like many other malls nationwide, is slowly disappearing. There is even a page that posts about all the closed malls. It's on FB if you want to look for it. It's sad really, if you think about it. Where will you go when there are no more malls to go hang out on a Saturday afternoon? Or when you have teens full of energy that just need a safe and non threatening environment? Where will you go if you just want to get out of the house for a couple hours and maybe get a snack or meet a friend after work ? Bars are not the only places to hang out. Although, those are quietly disappearing too. If you'd like to keep this mall, social space, and have a place to hang out like we did before 2020 told you to stay home and pushed online, ama zon shopping on you. It was planned. Go see how much ama zon is worth now. I digress. The mall is a community center for gathering. Of course there are parks, but what about when it rains or it's too hot outside ? Come on we live in the valley. The summer can be very hot and we need to geo somewhere to cool down. Right ? The mall needs more visitors to stay alive. Stop buying online: Plus, by coming in person you support jobs. Jobs are scarce these days. Very scarce. I know several people looking for jobs. Let's not give them excuses to close down. I'm just sharing because lots of places are closing down and it's not ok. Communities thrive when small businesses and local businesses are thriving. Do you want those community to vanish or will you come support it at least on the weekends here and there ? So what do you say ? Come down for a stroll ? Let's go get lemonade or a cinnamon roll YUMMMM ! You can always come for walk after having Portos next door, too. Just saying & giving you ideas. If you agree let's be friends :) Happy New Year 2026! Happy yelping ! SYOY ! SHARE :)

West Covina, Rowland Heights & La Puente resident friends often aren't aware of this great place located "up the hill" on Azusa Avenue. I often go to shops meeting my needs there, from a Super Target, to Home Depot and eating places, such as Round Table Pizza and more. The center appeared slow during the day first opening, but traffic has really increased as more people have become aware of the place.

There's PLENTY of parking since it's such a huge plaza, but it can get quite busy with all of the cars going in and out. The main intersection you enter in and out can get REALLY ugly with cars not following right of way, the lanes to turn left backing up into the intersection, etc., so if I can avoid it and just exit near the UPS Store I would. I feel like at a certain point they really should put traffic lights there, but on dead times it's not so bad honestly. As for other things, sometimes there's vagrants wandering around (camping behind the Salvation Army), one time a guy was peeing outside of his car, the letters are always being stolen from the Heights sign, and there used to be car meets here before they were shut down. I just really like that this place is quite close to me.

The mall gives an eerie, abandoned feeling as most stores are closed and certain areas are permanently closed off. These were times that I had to park all the way near the main road and walk a farther distance. Not too bad, just a warning. All the other times, it's pretty busy due to the gym and Tokyo Central here, but it's manageable, just be careful since I had a friend's car get scuffed since fools think they can just idle in front of the post office. I feel like I'm here almost every week, if not every other week. The plaza has a Baskin Robbin's/Dunkin Combo, Lan Noodle, a Cantonese restaurant, a dumpling restaurant, Rainbow Donuts, Taco Bell, some tutoring, beauty, and other businesses, Meow Tea and Miko's Pet Supplies with the cat adoption and cafe section, the Post Office, Tokyo Central, the gym, and a pet hospital. There's definitely more here, but since I don't peruse those businesses, I won't list them willy nilly. Towards the vet, there's rows of Tesla chargers. Sucks that they have those now, since before they did they had a little side walk section with benches and just places to low key hang out if you grabbed food and wanted to sit there. There were also smash and grab years ago at some shops. (It was on the news) Most of the shops here are average At best even the department stores. Tons of Asian based toy stores. A 99 ranch super market. Some Asian based J and K beauty shops. A couple nice restaurants (but not high end). A big but always crowded Japanese book store (even more so crowded than the one in dtla). Typical clothing franchises. And a pretty regular food court. I never really thought this was a nice mall but now it feels like this place is giving more a ghetto vibe. I personally wouldn't come here often to celebrate /or host important events, unless necessary. I would avoid this place on the weekends or holidays if you don't like crowds. Really, just a sub-standard mall But I think people just need a place to hang. Each to their own I suppose. Good luck people : )

There are also other popular sit-down restaurants at this mall that I enjoy like Red Robin, BJs, Red Lobster, & Cheesecake Factory. Several existing retailers have also refreshed their spaces, including Coach and Lululemon, giving the mall a more modern feel. The outdoor plaza and children's play area are wonderful additions for families. It's a great place to relax while kids burn off some energy and the pet-friendly outdoor spaces make it even more inviting. The dining scene has also improved dramatically. With restaurants like Din Tai Fung, North Italia, Kalbi Social Club (KBBQ), The Melt, and Pacific Catch all within steps of the mall. There are plenty of excellent sit-down options for before or after shopping. The addition of LA Fitness and the new apartment complex will likely make this area even more vibrant and lively. Brea Mall has done an impressive job evolving into more than just a shopping center. It's revived the mall and become a true community destination where you can shop, dine, exercise, and spend the day with family and friends.
