I can put my whole arm through the stalls.. the person in the Next one can see clearly through it.

I'm giving it 2 stars because when I went to use the restroom by the snack bar you can see through the wall between the stalls.. A Lady was in the Next stall n she was looking at me.. I felt uncomfertble going to the restroom.. This courthouse is so old n not much snacks.. they should build a cafetería.. All the workers I talked to were friendly.. Trey Torres was very helpful too.. Thank you..

    From lot to Juror entrance

Decided to write this review is for the first-timers that are reporting for Jury Duty. I like to plan ahead and couldn't find a good amount of details. When I got there someone came up to me asking if I knew where to go for Jury Duty so I figured I wasn't the only one that was lost going in. Soo, I'll lay out what to do/where to go if you happen to be serving Jury Duty here. The instructions on your summons let you know where you can park, try not to park in the spots that have numbers as those are not free; you have to buy a permit at the machines near the stairs that lead to the courthouse (assuming you're on the 1st floor). I didn't park on the upper levels so I can't say where they are up there. Report time was 8:00 AM and I got there around 7:45 with ample parking on the first floor. The free 4 Hour parking spots are located on the far back of the lot - assuming you enter the structure from Sunset; if you enter the structure from Garvey the 4 hour parking spots are on the far left. Where you go to report is through the NORTH side of the courthouse. The South side is the side that faces the 24 hour fitness (as a reference) and is the entrance everyone else uses. The North side entrance is for Jury and employees so there should not be a long line at all compared to what I've read on the South side. So don't worry too much about getting there super early to compensate for a line. Once you park you walk up the stairs towards the courthouse building and on your way there will walk past a building (on your left hand side) that has "Police" on it. Walking past the building hit a left and you will see a red sign that reads "Juror Entrance" with a nice big arrow on the top corner of the next building (the courthouse). I will post a (likely bad) illustration of the directions to help with the visualization. Entering the building you'll go through a metal detector. It's recommended you don't wear hats/beanies (they'll also tell you this inside if you do). There's a dress code for business casual, but it's fine to wear casual on the first day because "you don't know" (wink wink). After the metal detector you'll throw a right then a quick left, walk to the end of the hallway where you will find a door on your right hand side. This door will also have a sign that will say something close to "Juror Room" or something like that. This is where you will spend your morning watching the orientation and filling out/ turning in your summons. The moderator was/is really nice, bless that woman. I recommend you pay attention and don't ask dumb questions. And by dumb I mean asking something that they just went over because she will be a little sassy. Who wouldn't be though - you're not paying attention which is really all you have to do. As far as directions go that's all you need. Below is just added details on what happens after you get there. Don't need to go on if you don't want to. If you don't know, you are reporting on a 1-Day/1-Trial service. What that means is if you are NOT chosen to be on a jury, you will only be there for that 1-Day. If you are selected you will serve the length of the 1-Trial. After you watch the orientation video, which I found pretty funny because it was a combination of informing you of the procedure and trying to make it "cool". Like they try to pitch to you how awesome this is and all that. I mean, the fact they have to sell it is what was funny to me, but I digress. After the video you will just sit there until you're given instructions to fill out your summons (if you haven't already) and fill out a questionnaire - which you will then turn in to the moderator once you're done. The questionnaire is a little paper with 3 questions. Afterwards you will just sit and chill until the moderator call your name and what court room to report to. You'll likely have a long lunch - my lunch was 2.5 hours (ayyeee). You will return at 1:30 so from whenever you're called to 1:30 is your lunch. Some may be shorter, others may be longer. That's all you need to know to get you started. Everything else will be given to you once the time comes. The experiences is more "meh", it's just something you do. What made things nice for me personally is that I had conversations with people (the person who was also lost from the beginning of my story) and after lunch I ended up talking to a police officer who was giving a testimony in a different room. At the end of the day, turns out the group I was in was there as alternates, so I was only there for the 1-Day. If you're not open to talking it will just feel like a bore and take longer. If you're open to conversation the people are generally friendly. Keep in mind you're all strangers to one another so if you put out a hand it's very likely they will reciprocate. This may be hard to start though because A LOT are just on their phones. Totally up to you how you want to do it. Hope this was of some help and congratulations (lol).

My goal was to legitimately pay for my mistake BUT to still stay out of prison on a very serious DUI / Hit and Run. 3 years ago, they did just that! This year I hired them again to clean up that incident from my record. Again, money well spent! This is what they did for me. - Even though I was convicted of a felony, they convinced the judge to reduce that old felony conviction down to a misdemeanor. - I was originally sentenced to 5 years of probation, they successfully convinced the judge to terminate my probation early. So pretty much they decreased my 5 years of probation down to 3 1/2. - After having both the charge and probation reduced, they successfully convinced the judge to expunge my conviction. So now on my record, this whole horrible chapter of my life ends with the word "DISMISSAL"! Im a very detail-oriented person. I like to make sure things get done right the first time, so I was very picky about who I hired to defend me. This entire team (Raul, Matt, and Kratu) exceeded my expectations tremendously. They threaded the needle spectacularly on this one for me. I can now literally restart my life and my career. Forget flashy lawyers. Meet with these guys and really pay attention to their strategists. At the meeting you will not hear egocentric promises or quick fix answers. You will hear a very articulate promise to take advantage of every opportunity your case presents and alternatives even if a first or second plan fails. This is the team to hire!

There are several items, such as mine, that will require you to complete an online application and visit a DMV office in person. I completed the online application for a Real ID card and arrived at this DMV branch with no appointment (mistake!). The first thing you MUST do is scan the QR code posted on signs outside of the building. When you have completed this step, you will receive a number on your phone. This is the priority number you will hear announced over the PA system when it is your turn to approach a specific window to handle your issue. Though it was crowded inside, there was no line outside, as I have witnessed numerous times while driving by the area. Upon completing the above-cited steps, I took a seat and waited for my turn. I waited 1.5 hours before my number was called. Once called, I approached the window as directed and spoke with the DMV representative. This same employee advised me that I had not completed an online application for a Real ID card, which I had done only hours prior, but for some reason, it was not showing up on the employee's computer. As a result, I was forced to take a seat adjacent to the counter and start the process over again on a mounted iPad, UUGH! As the DMV representative handled other customers' issues, I sat at a small table next to each customer and could hear their entire conversation. It took me 10 minutes to complete my application, and when I was finished, the DMV representative assisted me with my issue. After this step was completed, I had to wait in a separate line to take a new photo for my Real ID card. This line was long (15+ people) as only one of two cameras was working and available. This process took 29 minutes. Employees were helpful and professional. They appeared to be working as efficiently as possible, so they all received an A in my book. The exterior and interior of the building were clean and well-organized, and parking was readily available in their large parking lot. As long as you enter this building knowing you ARE going to have to wait for at least 1 hour, you WILL survive, and life will go on.

A Government-Issued Test of Human Patience…read more Welcome to the DMV, where time goes to die and hope slowly evaporates under fluorescent lighting. "Hurry up and wait" isn't a saying here -- it's a lifestyle. Long wait times don't even begin to cover it. You sit. You wait. You watch the board. Nothing changes. You start questioning what year it is. At some point you're pretty sure the people ahead of you have aged several decades. The employees look just as thrilled to be here as you are, which is to say: not at all. The energy is pure misery. Everyone looks annoyed, inconvenienced, and personally offended that you dared to need a government service. Any question you ask feels like you're interrupting a hostage situation. And let's talk about the smell. A unique blend of old paper, frustration, recycled air, and despair. It's the kind of place where even the walls seem tired. No amount of air circulation can save this environment. The process is confusing, slow, and somehow designed to waste as much time as humanly possible. You'll fill out forms. Then you'll be told you filled out the wrong forms. Then you'll wait again. Then maybe -- just maybe -- you'll be helped. Or not. Everything you expect a DMV to be? It's all here. But somehow worse. Slower. More depressing. More soul-crushing. If purgatory has a waiting room, this is it. Bring snacks. Bring patience. Bring a will to survive. Because once you walk in, you're not leaving anytime soon. One star
