Lady picked up the phone at the phone number 626-517-8500 and was very rude and not helpful. I need to get a car inspection done and she said I have to get a DMV referral first. I said I have paperwork from the DMV and she didn't believe me, and wouldn't ask about the paperwork; I need the inspection first to get my DMV documents. I asked if I have my paperwork then what; she says "we need an appointment, it can be 3 weeks out." I said "let me schedule an appointment." She says "not without your paperwork." This is already a long process and I can't schedule an appointment 3 weeks out. So it's impossible to get anything done. Not sure if this the right division but I was on the 10east going towards the 605 fwy yesterday 3/25/25 around 4-4:30pm . I was going to pick up a car with my tow truck . Chp officer pulls up right behind the car I was towing with no lights on ,mind you I was picking up a car that gave out half way in a lane and half way in the emergency lane . Th first thing the officer says is wow you got here fast . Which I replied yah I wasn't to far . But wouldn't you want your tow truck driver to be fast if your in harms way . The officer assuming I got there "fast" how would he think this . Was he watching the customer the half way in traffic and half way in the emergency lane waiting for a truck to pull up to hassle . That's not to serve and protect . More like entrapment . I didn't have nothing to hide so I was very complying . But didn't find that right or okay to come hassle someone that's there to help a stranded car . This happen around 4:00-4:30 pm What a waste of time . And the officer needs training. This is amazing what I am about to share. No room for law enforcement for this action. The CHP responded to a traffic collision that took place 5/2/25. Officer Rodriguez & another officer told me that they will pretend to arrest my friend while I was in their presence. They instructed me to follow them to the station and they will release her to me in the parking lot of the Baldwin Park CHP. Upon arrival they said they changed their mind and they were going to book her? They gave me the keys before I followed them to the police station. At the TC science she informed them that her cell phone was missing and I locked up the car. The car was towed and they told her and I they weren't going to tow it. I found the phone later that morning in front of a motel. Which was ironically next to the vehicle holding yard? Her purse was gone!!! Upon picking up the vehicle. I went back to the station to make a report. THEY REFUSED and said there is nothing they can do. Not even dust for fingerprints? DNA??? Really? Just plain LAZY on their part. DON'T EXPECT ANY HELP WHEN YOU HAVE TO REPORT A CRIME !!! This is NOT a good branch of law enforcement!!! You're basically on your own and be the "Lone Ranger" !!!!!! read more

Had a "fixit" ticket where the front tints would need to be removed. Removed the tint and went to this location to have the ticket signed off. The officer was pretty direct and serious and had that attitude of a "zero fcks given" person. Anyway he assisted us and went outside and looked at the car. The car was stock and is a 2013 VW Jetta so I'm assuming he didn't even bother to look around the car and point at things that need to be corrected. I think if your car is modded then you might have a problem of him citing you for it. Anyway we were there for less than a few minutes and were on our way to mail the ticket in the mail. Btw, as per what it stated in the letter of where the ticket came from, some stations may require a fee to get it signed off but this CHP station doesn't have any fees. read more

Have been here a couple of times due to a traffic accident that I was in in April. I came in to get a collision report and found some errors so I submitted a supplemental to ask the officer to make the corrections. It takes a few weeks to enter the report so I came in today to pick up the corrections and was asked to fill out another form. So I did and received a copy of the supplemental from from the officer. Overall a relatively painless process and if you have to come to a CHP office this is a well run one. The staff was friendly and efficient. So 4 Stars. read more

This is for those CIVIL CODE VIOLATIONS of the 5200's and on.... If you got a ticket for plate or license related issues, you should know that if you correct it, you only pay $10 (as stated in the back of the ticket) instead of $79 or more if you're from the future. Say, you got the ticket from the LAPD, SGPD, or any police department from your city. The precinct will charge a fee (they differ) around $19 to check that you actually corrected the violation on your car, before they sign it off. So $19 + $10. The CHP will sign the ticket off for NO FEE, and it is fast. Once they sign it off and stamp it in the back, you can mail your ticket with a $10 check. They can be rude, they can be nice, it doesn't matter, they get stuff done and look good at it too. Now, I didn't want to go to the PD because I don't like the way they do things in my city. I don't agree with their hidden or unclear laws. I much rather help the city in a different way, not through fees that make no sense. read more

I just got pulled over as anybody does looking at their GPS hands-free device Citrus ave exit off the 10fwy. the officer could have let me go with a warning, in fact he was in front of me and slowed down to pull me over . I pay enough taxes already why should I be written up when there are others outside of the law who commit crimes?!?! why doesn't the highway patrol do their job and bust individuals who are actually doing something wrong?!? why come after the taxpayer! We came in for a car seat installation training/inspection. I made an appointment simply by calling one afternoon and was able to get a time slot for two business days later. Such an easy process with plenty of appointment options, and the woman over the phone was kind and helpful! Upon arriving for our appointment, we waited a couple minutes in the lobby. Jessica came out to show us how to install the car seat, fill out just a simple sheet of paperwork, and check to make sure we could install the car seat correctly on our own as well. She was so friendly and took her time to answer all of our questions. We so appreciated it! It's a free service! Better safe than sorry. :) read more

These people are well paid using our tax dollars. They should be helpful and not confrontational. I came in to the office to pick up a collision report and I stood for a while at the window, waiting for this one chippy to look up and help me, but he glanced from the corner of his eye and continued staring down at his desk. I told him "hello" and asked if I could get a copy of the report. He did not like that. I interrupted his quiet time. He gave me a dirty look and pointed to another window and told me to go there for the report. I went to the next window and some lady was sitting there reading and wouldn't turn around to help me. The chippy who told me to go to the next window saw me standing there for about 5 minutes, but would NOT tell her that I was waiting. When will Yelp allow 0-star as an option? read more

The officers here didn't take me, as a young woman, seriously. I have no other way of explaining their behavior. They didn't listen to anything I had to say or take notes. They only listened to the other party who was a middle-aged man and took his words as truth. They failed to produce a police report claimed their computer had crashed. Then the report they finally did produce was wildly inaccurate and got all the facts of the incident wrong. I'm wildly exasperated. Never calling CHP for help again. read more

FIX-iT TICKET PROCESS: (aka. "fix-it" tickets, like tint, front plates, no tags, etc.) to get it signed off. If you show up here with your corrected violation to get it signed off, the officer will inspect your car for MORE violations NOT initially on the citation. He will give you two options: 1. Get your ticket signed off, but he will give you a NEW citation for whatever other violation you have (maybe that the other officer missed when he first pulled you over). 2. Not get signed off: if you refuse to get the new citation for whatever violation you have other than the ticket you're presenting. Listen, I'm here for "x" citation to get signed off, I took time to get it corrected, like a law abiding citizen. I didn't come in here for you to make it rain on me and give me an extra citation just because you want to be a jerk. If you want to cite me for something NOT on my original ticket please jump in your squad car and pull me over. At least make an effort. Just giving everyone a heads up. RANT REVIEW: My patience hit the ceiling with CHP. I tried to be nice, but you keep #?/%@1& wasting my time. Background: Was involved in a traffic accident on the 605 Freeway. (See review on 605 Freeway for related rant) FAIL #1: Was told report would be available in 8 days. Report was not available for over 3 weeks. FAIL #2: Labeled person at fault as male instead of female. C'moooon now. FAIL #3: Got my birth date wrong! FAIL #4: Said I was hit on the front left right of my car. What does that mean?!? FAIL #5: Had to go in person just to resolve issues only to have to schedule an interview the following week. Wasted my precious time. Could have just scheduled an interview over the phone. FAIL #6: Only excuse they had was that they have a lot of accidents happening. Is this NOT your job and what you get paid for? FAIL #7: Was told corrections and supplemental report would be mailed to me in a "couple days." It has now been 2 weeks with no word. EPIC FAIL #8: It has now been over a month since the accident and of all people, it is the CHP that has caused me the most grief and frustration. How messed up is that. Well, at least you chippies were all nice to me. To top it off, it was an uninsured expired license motorist that started it all. read more

I went for a fix it ticket. Just know that law enforcement at this location (and anywhere else) does not care for customer service. No greeting, no salutations, no anything. Just cold, rude, attitude service. Pros: the cop stamped and signed my ticket with no further issues. No charge. I waited about 10 mins and it was on a Wednesday at 1pm. Cons: the cop is rude and seems to hate his life. I dont blame him, if my profession was to fine citizens for being citizens I would hate my life too. Full Disclosure: I dislike ALL cops. Reason: Cops are corrupt and abuse their power. So if you are a cop and you don't arrest them, then you are also corrupt or too stupid to notice, either way ALL cops suck. read more

Finally, when I was helped, the officer was rude, and pretty much threw my fix it ticket right back to me. I had an old dirt bike my family had junked via the DMV so they wouldn't have to register. Rebuilt it took it in and vin verification and visual inspection officer was great. FYI anyone who is getting this process done make sure your vin is readable. What I mean is do not paint or powder coat it do thick they can not verify vin. I did no do this I had powder coat shop cover vin so it was left raw metal. The officer thanked me as he has had to turn away people who have accidentally obscured VINs in the past. I was thankful I had thought forward on this issue. Again they are professional and do a great job just make sure all your ducks are lined up too. Now my 88 yx250 is back on the books.
