Due to the cost of the replacement and recalibration I wanted to make an insurance claim. After getting my information, she set up a conference call between me, her and the Allstate Glass representative. Super easy. First of all, they put the wrong windshield in and blamed it on Geico, even though I had actually had another rock hit it a month earlier and Geico did not tell the other company the wrong windshield. Then, the technician broke the latch on my hood. He said he put it in the service position and it was "already broken" and wouldn't go back down. Then it wouldn't have been down!!! He left my car with an incorrect windshield duct taped to it and the hood up and rolled out!! I was out of town and didn't know my BMW was sitting there like that all weekend in the rain. I had to fight to get them to fix the latch which left me with no vehicle for over a week! The owner actually wanted us to split the cost of their mistake! Then when they finally changed the windshield and removed the tape, it ripped the paint off the top of my car! I have been going back and forth with them again and the owner is refusing to accept responsibility. Said my paint must have been weak! First of all, I have ceramic coating on my car. The paint is not weak. And they put the tape on there. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I only tried them because I am a veteran also. Big mistake!
