I'm a veteran with 37 years service. I've had four primary care providers since my retirement in 2010. Two retired, one moved away. I came to West Front Primary Care six months ago after my other PMC provider retired. Scheduled the same physical I received 15 times before from 3 different providers. I have Medicare and Tricare for Life. Received a bill for $230. Challenged it. Was told to contact Tricare for Life. Called them. They said it was improperly coded and that I had to call Medicare. Called them. They said I had to contact WFPC billing to fix the coding. After several calls and emails WFPC billing got back to me. They said they'd coded it correctly. My wife who has the same coverage from a different provider had her service covered. Billing department at WFPC was no help whatsoever. Between them, Medicare and Tricare for Life I found myself in a circular firing squad. I'm paying the bill because I don't want to hurt my credit rating. I don't have an issue with the doctor. I have an issue with the billing department. I'm writing this to every veteran out there. If you are a veteran, find someone else for your medical treatment other than West Front Primary Care. read more

This is no longer a "family" practice, rather than another business hungry provider. After 5 days of asking a question about a medication refill and being completely ignored, I finally received a "no" with an extremely passive aggressive and degrading phone conversation with a medical assistant. I have had multiple occasions of passive aggressive communication or no communication at all with this provider. After struggling with light-headedness and migraines for a week, I went in for a 5 minute conversation with no tests or solutions. The doctor insisted it was a "hangover" when I've never really drank alcohol in my life. I wasn't informed on my insurance coverage change, and this 5 minute conversation was $60. I had an odd physical injury being hit with a golfball, and I could hear nurses speaking about my situation and laughing outside the room. Made me feel bad and uncomfortable for asking for a female doctor for my first Pap smear. I schedule visits only to be seen weeks later, and never with my primary doctor. My entire family, friends, and co workers have all switched from this provider as these experiences are widespread. This practice has turned into a money-focused business. There is no family-feel when receiving care. read more

I would not recommend this practice nor Dr. Leah Walbridge to anyone looking for honest or transparent care. I've never dealt with a doctor who seems more focused on squeezing every dollar out of a patient than actually providing good care. I went in for a physical and had a specific conversation with Dr. Walbridge about my GLP-1 prescription and how I couldn't keep paying an extra $40 every month just to have her sign off on it. She told me not to worry -- my upcoming physical would cover it and it wouldn't be an issue. Fast forward to two weeks after my physical -- suddenly her office is charging me another $40 because writing the script while seeing her at my physical "doesn't count" under preventative care--therefore they have to bill that different and be charged an office visit. Since when does your physical not cover all things, including writing a prescription? At no point did she explain this was a thing the day of my physical, but yet told me over a phone call today that there is a "sign on the room" and she "had let patients know for about 8 months of these changes" but she was sorry she didn't tell me. She just played it off as "miscommunication" and "she didn't recall our conversation specifically about the perscription charges prior to my physical. Really? You tell me one thing to my face -- that it would be taken care of -- and then bill me anyway? This feels like double-dipping, plain and simple. It's shady and misleading. If there were changes to billing or insurance rules, it's her responsibility and her office's responsibility to clearly explain that upfront -- especially when a patient has voiced concerns and held a verbal conversation with the physician about such. To me, it feels like Dr. Walbridge's office is all about fast money, not patient care. They'll run you through the door and nickel and dime you on the way out. And if you read other reviews, I'm not the only one who's run into this money-hungry approach. Do yourself a favor and find a doctor who actually values your time, your money, and your health. I saw Dr. Tobin Fraser January 31,2026 for my right elbow and forearm. I was in a lot of pain since October. I was referred to GLOC for this and had an appt with them on January 28, 2026. That doctor did nothing to help with the pain. He gave me a referral to Physical Therapy. That doctor said they won't do an injection unless I was in pain for at least 6 months and that injecting into the muscle could cause more harm than good. What a load of crap!! I could not believe it. What a waist of my money and time. When I saw Dr. Fraser he immediately new that I needed a corticosteroid injection to relieve the pain and it worked. I finally have no pain in my forearm or elbow. He is the best doctor. GLOC needs to have Dr. Fraser tell this doctor why these injections are important in the healing process. You are the best Dr. Fraser!! read more

Beware!!! If you miss an appointment, (mine was an annual physical) even if you do not confirm the appointment, you will get charged $50.00. It's a new policy and they are standing hard on it. My only question to the providers is how much is a middle aged man who gets annual physicals and DOT physicals worth to your business because you lost me for 50 bucks. read more

One of my family members is a patient of West Front. She's also a wonderful nurse and person at Munson Hospital, but she was treated HORRIBLY at West Front. She was there for a physical and Pap smear today. The provider and staff there are the exact example of how NOT to treat a patient. We treat patients ourselves, and it was appalling what she experienced. After the visit, staff left the room and were speaking terribly of her, making fun of her and she heard ALL of it. I know how it goes, and sometimes healthcare staff make jokes or whatever about patients. We are only human after all, but to do it in EARSHOT of her was atrocious. She was crying her eyes out leaving. West Front should raise their standards and include common sense in their training and understand that words hurt. The doctor's office should be a safe place to bring any healthcare problems (especially after something as invasive as a pap smear) and their behavior was just awful. I would highly recommend considering another office if you are searching for a comforting, safe place to bring your healthcare needs. Absolutely awful. Do better. read more

I called a nurse for advice or a recommendation on an otc medication for congestion. She said she would talk to my Dr. and get back with me. When she called back the reply was, I'm sorry we can't give advice, you'll have to come in. Quite surprised. read more

I do not recommend Dr. Leah Walbridge. She was my doctor for three years. Acts more like a pharmaceutical rep. Gets pushy and condescending when you refuse medications (Statins and vaxs). Barely touched me during my physical, ignored the only health issue I had. Ordered a test I didn't need that I had to pay for (actually made the same mistake a second time but I caught it), blamed it on a new hire. Just a bad experience, for other reasons too that I don't want to get into. read more

I see Dr. Metropolis as my primary care physician. She is really, really good. She listens to me , then she ACTS. She found the degenerative arthritis in both of my knees and sent me to the orthopedic surgeon who said I needed a knee replacement. She is helping me to successfully lose weight, she is down to earth, smart and up on things. I could not be happier. I transferred from an office where I was not happy with the care. SO happy I found Dr. Metropolis! read more

The health care has been good, however the billing department is completely incompetent. After several attempts to have them bill my insurance property they simply refuse to bill them for something that is 100% covered (when properly billed). I have talked with my insurance provider several times and they tell me that the bill was not submitted. So after almost a year for bill problems I've decided it's just better to fire these people and find a competent provider. read more

Where to start!?! I haven't been thrilled with Dr. March since coming to this practice, but he was willing to write prescriptions to Canadian pharmacies so that I could get my insulin at a fraction of the cost (which saved me about $4000/year). I don't typically go to the doctor unless I feel like something is wrong. When my hands hurt and they are causing me to not be able to do my job I go to a doctor, back pain to the point of not being able to stand up straight I go to the doctor,.....point being, with the exception of being a Type 1 Diabetic for 30 years I am a healthy individual. My first red flag with Dr. March was a couple of years ago when he wouldn't fill out a referral form to a hand surgeon. I was having numbness and tingling that was keeping me up at night and not allowing me to do my job (as a chef I was dropping my knives). He was adamant that it wasn't carpal tunnel syndrome. I went ahead and went to see the hand surgeon regardless, as the pain I was feeling was becoming unbearable and I needed to make a living. Lo and behold I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome. Luckily Dr. Jacobson went to bat for me and was able to get Dr. March to sign off and supply a referall form and I was able to have carpal tunnel surgery right before my insurance rolled over for the new year (you have to love a doctor who goes to bat for you and doesn't make light of the pain you're feeling). Guess what: the numbness and tingling disappeared right after surgery and I have been holding a knife in my kitchen ever since (I guess it is always a good idea to get a second opinion......especially if a doctor who spends less than 10 minutes with you at your appointments is your primary care physician). So then the next problem, I was diagnosed with spondylolisthesis and it was pinching my sciatica nerve. He again said that the spondylolisthesis would not be causing me any pain.........luckily my chiropractor and acupuncturist did believe that it was causing me pain and they fixed me up and within a few moths I was pain free and walking straight. Right when you don't think it could get worse......it does! Dr. March signed for a prescription in May of 2019 for my insulin pump supplies. I was never told by anybody at their office at this time that I needed to make an appointment in order to have prescriptions refilled. When I made an inquiry for a prescription refill a few days ago I was told that Dr. March would be declining this due to not seeing me. I was then told by his nurse that it was procedure to see their patients with any type of health disorder every three to six months if not controlled........throughout my chart with him it says uncontrolled Type 1 Diabetes.......yet not once did they ever ask to see me beyond the one visit per year. Not once did they ever go over my labs with me. So, here I am not in Michigan and without a physician. I have one month of insulin pump supplies left.......after that I don't know what I'm going to do. If I die........my blood is on his hands and his utter lack of caring for his patients. More affordable insulin in Canada so was not worth my six years with this practice. Find a different practice......one where you're not just a number.......one where they spend more than 10 minutes with you.........one in which they let you know that it's time for an appointment. read more

Awful experience wouldn't recommend to anyone. I was a patient here for a year the doctor started off nice her assistant was always unpleasant from the start. I needed to get bloodwork done to check to see if the supplements I was taking were ok or if I was missing anything they refused to do it and said "go to the ER to get that done. I was also having symptoms but they were unwilling to help me figure it out, they would do about 5 test for something not even close to what I have and if the test came back fine they would say "you're fine" even though I was still having symptoms. Don't waste your time or health here. They for sure don't care about their patients and take your health for granted. read more

I had the unfortunate experience of seeing Dr. Bibacoff at MCHC Urgent Care. I went in on a Saturday morning, after having difficulty swallowing for two days. I was not eating, or drinking anything, I couldn't even get small doses of water down. With local temps above 90 degrees at the time, I was dehydrated as well as hungry. Dr. Bibacoff reviewed my vitals, listened to my heart, lungs, checked my lymph nodes, and looked in my throat. His advice, 'call a gastroenterologist on Monday'. TWO days away!? I asked about an I.V., or a x-ray, or.... what could I do in the meantime to get hydrated. He said, he couldn't do those things. Again, he told me to call a Gastorenterologist in two days. I asked if he could refer me to Emergency? He said I was 'on my own' if I chose to do that. Well, thankfully I took my own advice and went to E.R. There I was greeted with professional, caring, medical help. They got me on an I.V. immediately. I was examined right away. A physician came to see me, and they set me up with an upper GI scope. During my scope, they found a piece of food blocking my esophagus, and I was also bleeding internally from that. At that point, I was admitted to the hospital. The doctors and nurses there still aren't sure how I was even breathing for the last two days. In Traverse City, we have SO many wonderful, and talented medical professionals! Dr. Bibacoff is NOT one of them. If you value your health, or life.... go to any physician but him. read more

Dr. Songer was great my first visit but I had trouble setting up my patient portal after so I tried calling the office twice with no response. I then had another visit scheduled that I couldn't make it in for and called 3 times in advance, left messages and no one got back to me. I then ran out of my prescription and called the office 2 times (my pharmacy said they tried calling multiple times as well) to just check in and see what I needed to do and again, got no response. I called the office this morning and waited for 20 minutes and finally got though to a receptionist and she was not helpful. She never apologized for the 7 or so missed calls and was very rude to me about missing my appointment even though I had tried calling in advance to reschedule. I understand if you're short staffed or busy but that in no way is my fault and you should never blame the patient for that. Very unsatisfied. read more

Dr. Bibicoff is my primary care doc. He's very friendly and positive and takes very good care of my wife and I. I also like the fact that he's not a "lets throw drugs at the problem" type doctor. Staff is also very good. read more

My husband and I were looking for a physician's office that could see our family for all medical services. We didn't want to have 3 different doctor's offices for 3 different services, etc. We have had great experiences here at West Front Primary Care. My husband even had an emergency and they let him get an appointment same day, with a physician's assistant, so that we didn't have to find an urgent care. We loved that. The web portal is great. Would highly recommend this practice. Their have 10+ Providers on Staff. Open Nights and Weekends. Personally, I see Dr. Andrea Essenmacher. She is very down to earth, young and professional. I would highly recommend her as your provider. Also, everyone in the office is exceptionally nice and enjoyable except the woman who draws blood at their "clinic" which I don't think is theirs, though. read more
