I recently decided to give the new ownership a try and was pleasantly surprised with the friendly service and quickness compared to other dealers in the area who seem to have out-grown their facilities. I wanted to note that most if not the reviews here are for the old dealer (Henderson) and new management seems to have made quite a positive improvement. I went in for my usual oil change. West Herr had recently taken over from Henderson but I didn't think anything of it. I did notice that all of the signage was removed from the Quick Service lounge. They did finish the job quickly and then the surprise. They raised the price of my oil change by more than half again! Almost $100 for an oil change! I was shocked. The cashier and the workers I talked to were like that's the price. They didn't seem to care. I was stuck because they all ready did the work, so I paid and left. I thought maybe the price of oil went way up so I called Marina across the street and asked how much for an oil change? It was the same price as Henderson was! Worst dealer experience I have had in 40 years... I was interested in a 2018 ford f150.... sent in a request for availability. The sales person (Patrick) said it was available.... great! So the next day I checked the website to look at my future truck only to find they RAISED the price by $2500. I contacted the sales person to see why they would do that..he told me he would check and get back to me.... he didn't . I called back the next day to get a status... he said the day just got away from him and his sales manager would not be back for two days.... when pressed, he said he would check.... called back 10 minutes later with "the vehicle is no longer available". And... added that they think the website was "hacked" was the reason the price changed.... Auto Trader also showed the price increase as well as their own site. Can you say "bait and switch". bottom line..... we all work very hard for the money we earn, we try to spend wisely.... we try to spend locally to support our local businesses. We all have a choice on where we spend our hard earned money..... choose wisely people.... don't spend it at Henderson Ford!!! This review is specifically for their "Quick Lane" service. I was delighted to find a Ford dealership in Webster, NY, as I've recently moved to the area. I have gotten three services done here on my 2013 Ford F-150. The customer service, on the phone at least, seems to be good, the folks over there do appear to be friendly on the phone, so I was thinking it was going to be a good place. I had my first service there, a simple one, just fluids and filters. I had no problem (aside from a long wait while they done it - but they may have been busy, so I didn't mind). My second service was also a simple one, this time they forgot to reset the oil computer on the dash, so a few days later, my truck told me I needed an oil change. This is simple enough, BUT I have to take part of my morning off work to drive over there, and back (I work 30 minutes away in Pittsford, NY). It was sloppy from them, but It can happen! Then came my third issue. I broke down due to bad corrosion on the battery, something I assume should have been picked up in their vehicle inspection every time you bring the car into quick lane; even if it was not, this is an easy error for them to spot while working on the car. I called them, they sent someone out to tow the car (Barth Towing - a partner of theirs) (a simple jumpstart got it going), I was still charged full price. I brought the car in to fix the corrosion. I was told the battery was changed and the terminals that connect it to the car were "cleaned" so no more corrosion would occur. Half way to Boston the next day, guess what, I turn the car off and it won't turn back on! They had not tightened the terminal back on, and the terminal was now actually MISSING a part it needed to tighten it to the battery. I needed to shove a bolt in there to a live battery terminal to get it going again! The day before, I was assured by the quick lane manager on the way out that it was fixed - and, even then, it turned out there were parts missing! That's not all, simple things like the service sticker were not placed on the window, and the oil computer was not reset YET AGAIN. The last two are minor, but require an additional visit, very un-professional in my opinion, especially since this was not the first time. So I bring the truck in, they replace the battery cable and terminals at no charge (after all, I had to fix the car my self at a rest stop on I-90, and come in AGAIN). So this time, they tell my it's finished. I go out and inspect their work. THE OIL COMPUTER IS STILL NOT RESET, HOW MANY TIMES DO I NEED TO ASK? In addition, the rubber protector that was on the battery is now gone. I won't be going back to Henderson Ford, Webster, NY. Van Bortel will be getting my next service. read more

I purchased car at Henderson Ford and went to quick went to quick lane for 5000 mile check at 9:30 am and was told the wait time was 2 hours before they could begin. This was unacceptable. Went to james Ford and got an actual appt. In and out within 30 mintutes. Stopped at Henderson because of slow leak .. they told me I had a nail in the tire and it could not be patched, needed a new tire. Took service department 25 minutes to tell me they didn't have in stock but would order for price of $248 and come back next day. Took car to my mechanic who quoted price of $204. When he was filling up tire with more air for me to come back next day (which Henderson didn't do) he said it could be patched, total cost was $38 and still holding. Everyone at Henderson Ford has been extremely helpful. They always take time to answer any questions I have. The Service Writer, Steve, is awesome! He always makes sure that I'm never left stranded while my car is worked on so I'm able to take care of my daily obligations. He even took the time to talk to my father on the phone and go over every detail thoroughly. After all, daddy's worry about their baby girls! I had a low tire pressure light on my Ford Edge and called Henderson immediately since I'd only had the vehicle a few months. They told me to take it to their service center and gave me the best times to go to the Fast Lane to have it checked out. When I got there, there was no wait for getting it in. I brought my vehicle in for service after having to wait over 4 weeks for a service appointment. As if that wasn't bad enough the service advisor was rude, unprofessional and lacked even the basic knowledge required to be in that position. The mechanic NEVER finished the diagnostics on my vehicle but was sure quick to blame a modification part I had on my vehicle. The tech couldn't prove that the modification had anything to do with the issue. I contacted the service manager via email and unless he is on vacation. He has yet to respond to my email at all. Poor customer service, unprofessional and lack even the basic courtesy of responding to my email. Waited over 4 weeks for a service appointment, never finished the diagnostics to my vehicle, didn't do any repairs. What a HUGE waste of time. You have been warned, don't go there. read more

Quick service is terrible wit owner's son having no clue as to what he is doing. Price changes depending on how much you question the costs of repairs. Used to be a good place and now it isn't. Then the recent giveaway to get people into dealership has been labelled a SCAM by BBB. The 3 day vacation reviews are listed as " be careful" yet this Ford dealer is giving them away. The sales team is not aware of what they are selling and do not have any idea of the prices - very rookie style. Worked with Mr Viktor Tiutiunnyk - this gentleman has no idea as to what he is trying to sell and will quote different prices after making a deal. I recently purchased an 05 Mitsubishi Evo from this dealership. I had a full review written out but Yelp only allows so much for length, so I'll list my pros and cons. I live 7 hours away from this dealership. Finding my dream car, I would of drove or flew anywhere to get this car, it didn't matter to me. Pros: They sent me pictures of everything I asked them to, and in a timely manner. They had all my credit apps and paperwork ready for me and they kept me updated throughout the whole process so I knew what I needed to do and what I needed for them to get the ball rolling on me buying this car. As far as that is concerned, they did an awesome job. Cons: They didn't tell me that the person who owned the car before me lowered the seats. I'm 4'11'', I can barely push in a clutch as it is. At first, they did NOTHING to fix this situation. They actually sent me to a Mitsubishi dealership to go figure the problem out myself!!! They fixed it though after I lost my temper for 5 minutes. Next, they didn't detail the car AT ALL. The inside or the outside. Glad I drove 7+ hours and dropped $20K+ on a car that wasn't even clean when I picked it up. They also didn't give me a full tank of gas even though it was promised to me. They also had to send me the checks in the mail to register the car since I live in CT and I bought the car in NY. They only sent me one check to begin with, and the whole time they kept calling and asking for their dealer plate back. I told them they wouldn't get it back until I registered the car and it was legal on the road for me to drive, I wasn't taking any chances. All in all, the car I received is AMAZING. Their customer service however? Needs work. I felt very bullied into paying asking price for the car even though I had the seat problem, the interior isn't the interior that came stock in the car, and things were missing from the radio. I also was NOT happy knowing I was paying so much for a car and they couldn't even detail it for me. AND the fact that they only gave me a quarter tank of gas. It cost me over $1,000 between gas for 2 cars, tolls and a down payment on the car (even though they told me I wouldn't have to pay one). It was just way to many issues for my liking and as much as some of the people were nice, they aren't really into helping customers, and I don't like that, especially when we drove a very long way to get this car. read more

I had played phone tag back then back and forth with a salesman named Amarie he was suppose to send me a second key fob for the Jeep Cherokee I purchased from Henderson. I live in Syracuse and it is a drive, however I never received the second key fob... It was never an issues until recently and now he is no longer employed by your company. I have ordered a new key fob online and was hoping you could arrange me to have it programmed to my jeep here in Syracuse. I have left a voicemail to the service manager and have not heard back yet. I hope we can arrange for me to have a key fob programmed or sent to me free of charge since I never received the second fob I was promised. Upon speaking to them they told me it was not in my contract and there was nothing they could do. I bought a car from them in 2017. They sold me a car that had an on going class action lawsuit for faulty parts in the transmission. When asked before purchasing if the car had any known problems or any recalls they said no. They fixed it twice under the extended warranty. The third time I called to have the transmission fixed yet again they said they couldn't get me in until Oct 6th which happened to be the last day I could get in on the suit. But to be part of it the car had to be serviced 3 times on that particular part. I was also told on the phone that I was still covered under the warranty. But when I bring the car in they told me that the Warren ty had ended in the beginning of the year and it was going to cost me about 2000 to fix it. At this point I contacted a lawyer. I tried to handle the issue with Henderson but they weren't willing to do anything but have me trade it back to them and purchase another one of their cars. But why would I trust them to be honest after they have lied multiple times already. In the end I'm taking the legal action route and will never do business with them again. They are money hungry scammers in my opinion. Take your hard earned money else where read more

I went to Henderson Ford because I had a Ford pickup that broke down on me sheet just having over $10k in body work done from a different body shop. So I was towed to Henderson to get someone to look at it from a Ford shop...I mean after all I had a 2013 and my truck was fine until it was in a major accident and then breaks down a couple weeks later. Anyhow I was towed to Henderson Ford in Webster, NY to see if the cause was accident related and the salesman approached me to see if I was interested in looking to purchase a new vehicle. Fast forward....I test drove some other pickup trucks and suvs and cars. I wanted another used black F150 4 door pickup truck but they didn't have one. So I ended up going with this pretty luxury car that's nice and all, but it wasn't what I wanted and doesn't fit my needs. I have kids and lots of em and we go sledding, hiking, fishing, go on road trips and I want to buy a four wheeler and my son has been nagging me for a dirt bike. Well there was only brand new F150 pickup trucks with 4 doors available in the black color I want and they were in the $50k range and that's double what my spending budget is. So I get the luxury car. Now I will tell you this.....the sales team worked it to where I didn't have to put anything down on the vehicle and because I was towed in I didn't have a way home so they were nice to give me a ride home up the road and picked me up the next day to pick up my new car.....and I appreciated that I really did. That is what customer service is about. BUT what I want all of you all the be careful of is the darn warranty! You do not need any type of additional warranty and I specifically said to Brian Henderson that I do not want a warranty and guess what?! Brian snuck the warranty on my vehicle purchase contract which added on an additional $2,000 to my total purchase payoff price :( So now when I go to get the black 4 door F150 I want that I had in the first place before it was crashed I owe about $7000 more than what my car is worth. So that means I have to pay out $7000 to get the truck I want OR wait until I pay down more on my current vehicle loan. I am trying to get as much of the warranty refunded to the bank so I don't owe as much on the total pay off of my vehicle loan. But guys, look over your contracts thoroughly and make sure a warranty you do not want isn't snuck in. Nu-look wanted me to bring it to the dealer to see if they could look into this issues a little bit more. I had heavy front end damage to the car. While Henderson Ford is quick to make the sale, the service after the sale is dishonest and digusting! They sold my son a pick up (he needs for work) KNOWING it had a PRE-EXISTING condition (per the maintenance report we later demanded), but they didn't tell him that! Each time he took it back for repairs, it ended up also having additional scratches, dents, grease on the roof and on a hat purchased for a gift, etc. that weren't there when he dropped it off. It would sit there for weeks at a time (often more than a month) while waiting for repairs. Some of the service personnel have been extremely rude - even hanging up on my son when called to check on the status. Eric has been okay to deal with, but even he can't figure out why it continues to leak (not just a little). In the 5 months my son has owned it, he has been able to drive it a total of 2 months! Do yourselves a favor and find a different dealership! I wish there was something below 1 star. read more

Bought a 2013 Ford Fusion from Henderson Ford in August of 2016. My sales person Thomas Smith was great but there Sales manager Trent was a piece of work. It took him a month to finance me. I was on a dealer plate forever and final months later got my registration. Still no title talked to DMV and they said Henderson didn't do the paper work correctly. I had two give Henderson my first months & second months payment to send to the bank to get approved. He didn't send them out on time I got a call from the bank saying I was 60 days behind on payments. Also Trent pulled my credit well over 15 times. So now I'm in the market for a second auto loan. I went back to give THOMAS SMITH & only him my business because he was wonderful. I went in a week ago and still nothing. I have to call the sales manager all the time then never call me with updates. So again he pulled my credit multiple times and I have him a $2000.00 holding fee for the car! He then tells me today he's. m not doing the deal because I call him too much, I called him two times a day if that. I also told him not to submit my credit to a certain bank and guess what he did the complete opposite. The story is much to long to explain. BEWARE HENDERSON FORD!!! He also swear at me the first time I bought a car he sold me with a bad transmission good thing it was under warranty.......go to Van Bortel Ford! read more
