I am so happy to find this vet clinic! Wonderful staff, carrying vet! I'm so amazed by Dr. Kim!!! Never had such a carrying and kind doctor, her exams are not just basic check-ups, she checks literally EVERYTHING before come up with a treatment plan. Also, she gives great explanations about the treatment! We showed up to the clinic with my pup having a skin infection for a while which was taken care of the same day, no more each skin, wounds slowly disappearing:) The prices are reasonable. So far the best clinic we've ever been to for 9 years of my pup's life!!! Thank you guys for keeping our loved ones healthy:)

Me and our furry little children have been coming here for about two years. The doctors are great and I like the way they were on the office. Going to the vet is never a cheap episode but it's definitely something you've got to do to keep your pets in good shape. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic and have never had any problems. And one of my dogs they did major dental work and they treated us fairly. The bottom line is I Highly recommend the West L A Veterinary group

I have been very happy I moved my yorkie to be a patient of DR Quezada. Not only is she very knowledgeable, she helped me uncover my dogs dental abscesses and a heart murmur. I do not think my other veterinarians were taking x rays so I had no idea! Also there's a new heart medicine that will delay the onset of congestive heart failure that I would not have had if it weren't for Dr. Quezada who recommended a cardiologist. She also Cares and asks how everything is going every time we see her in the waiting room when getting the cytopoint allergy injections. Thank you Dr Quezada for being so amazing!

This review is well overdue, to me this place is a dream come true. It's simple, if you want a partnership, a doctor that really cares and is available, I suggest running, not walking, to West LA Veterinary Group. I found them after a terrible experience elswhere and am in love with how attentive they are. I have a puppy and have been so flustered with the do's and dont's. I just wanted a place with a smart doctor where I could get all my questions answered. Instead, I have a place that did that when I visited, but they also remember every little detail about my pup and home situation when issuing advice. I have a doctor that calls me, even if it's after office hours, to report back on lab results to give me her expert insight. I have a tech that walks around like he's always just heard a great joke and is excited to share it, and an office team that handles non-stop calls all while handling my non-stop chatter. Please visit this place. I know every experience is unique because every day is different, but I have had consistent compassion and accommodation from this team, so I'm confident they won't let you down.

Miss Pearl recovering comfortably. Dr. Quezada and her team are the best!

Honestly, I did not have high expectations for this vet. I do not know the area too well but by driving around, it doesn't look like an area I would be frequenting. I assumed the inside of this place would be like a run down county clinic deep in the trenches of Los Angeles. Which I've had my fair share of experiencing back in the days. I was so wrong! This place is so awesome. The girls at the front desk are so sweet and attentive! I had a lot of questions every visit, I never had a puppy before and I was really anxious about making sure she was healthy. They always answered everything very patiently and had the best attitude. Since I do not live close I would have to call over the phone for vaccination records to enroll my puppy into classes etc and I even changed her name and they'd always answer my calls and email over anything I needed. The customer service has been exceptional. I would come here simply for that alone. They decorated the office so nice, it looks newly remodeled. The waiting lobby is small but comfy. They do not push for any specific food brands which is refreshing. They always call to remind you of an appointment. The people and their dogs that I've seen here all are very friendly and it looks like everyone comes for routine and not because their dogs are sick. I love that! The prices are fair, they're not low by any means but they're not outrageous. I find them to be decent for the services. I really appreciate the care they provided for my girl, she was here quite a few times due to being a puppy. We now go to a place closer to home because I don't live in Los Angeles. It's honestly the only reason. But I highly recommend this place to anyone in LA looking for a good vet!

Recently brought one of our dogs here for a serious issue. We never even saw the doctor, only spoke to them through a phone call even though we were at the office. After speaking to the doctor, the assistant presented the estimate very matter of factly. We declined one of the procedures. 3 hours later when it was time to pay they tried to charge us for the declined service even though it clearly was written on the estimate that it was declined. The absolute worse part is that after coming home, our other dog developed the same symptoms as our dog we had brought in. We called them back and asked to speak to the doctor for counsel. They had no idea who the doctor was. Finally we were told the doctor would call us back. We never received a call and our other dog passed away that night. Obviously we were gutted and when we took our deceased dog in for afterlife care the next day, the receptionist just shoves the brochure at us and gives us prices. Not even a simple sorry or modicum of concern. They dont care about your pets. I write this because I dont want someone else to potentially feel the pain we feel for waiting for these folks to call you back and having something horrible happen.

Finn is extremely shy and particular, and giving him fluids at home just isn't an option. We also made the intentional choice not to associate his one safe space, home, with anything painful. At the clinic, it sometimes takes three nurses to support him, one to gently hold him, one to feed him churro (his favorite distraction), and one to administer fluids. And they do it all with so much patience, compassion, and genuine care. Because of this team, Finn is not only stable, he's doing so well. Truly, I believe they've saved his life. There was a dog yowling in the back for the entire hour that we were visiting during our first appointment - you can hear everything because there's just a little curtain that separates the back area from the lobby. The exam room has sliding doors but isn't fully enclosed so, again, you can hear everything. The vet, Dr Kwon, was very gruff and brief with our puppy. He quite literally waved us off when we tried asking questions about our treatment plan, and he didn't adequately review our pet's vaccination records in advance. Thankfully the vet tech remediated the situation and thoroughly explained our next steps, but if he hadn't been there the entire visit would have been a complete and frustrating waste. I'm glad we completed our puppy's core vaccines because we've now switched to a much kinder vet at a cleaner, nicer hospital at the same price point.

It was up to me to give her a dignified goodbye. As I was crying in the exam room after I received the news, one of the techs, a smaller woman with black hair and a ponytail who was always so kind to my baby, came in and told me how good of a mom I was this whole time. Those words of kindness really touched my heart. They facilitated and accommodated me during this difficult time. I asked if they did at home euthanasia and Dr. C was kind enough to provide this service for me. She was empathetic and respectful of my feelings and even comforted me during and after the procedure. Because I had to go to work/could not cancel, I opted to do the day after. The estimate at MASH is $6,000-8,000 but here it was around $4500. I dropped my cat off early on Wednesday for his check-up, test, and surgery. Ultimately, they disagreed with the vets at MASH and said my cat had no crystals either in x-ray or in his urinalysis but did have a UTI which contributed to a second blockage (bladder overflow). They kept him for 48-hours to unblock and recover. This cost around $2K. At MASH where he had done the same 2 days earlier, it was $6K When MASH returned my cat, he was rough. He reeked of pee, his face was completely crusted/sticky with dried medicine, his fur was full of shed, and he was lethargic and in pain despite all the medicines. When Affordable returned him, my cat was bright and energetic. They clearly took care of him (he smelled like a baby wipe). It has been about a week since I brought him home, but I knew immediately that he was feeling better the day I picked him up. Now, he has completely recovered. Back to flinging himself around and meowing at 4 am. I am incredibly grateful to this hospital for their responsiveness, flexibility, affordability, and the kindness they showed my cat. I was worried that I would end up losing my cat (I had paid nearly $7K at MASH and he wasn't better) if he blocked again, but Dr. Barrera said that I should "give my cat a chance." He said that it is what he would do if it were his cat. I'm grateful that I did because it saved him from unnecessary surgeries. My cat was seen by Dr. Forsythe and Dr. Barrera and they both were very kind and gentle with him. I do see what some reviews mean about their disorganization. They forgot to call me to update me that he wasn't getting the surgery but would need to be hospitalized. I had to call them, but it turned out that Dr. Forsythe had gotten very sick. He returned my call despite being audibly quite sick and given that my cat needed the hospitalization anyways (and he was fine), I can see how it slipped through the cracks. They seem to accommodate all kinds of emergencies as best as they can, so I think a little disorganization is totally ok. I do think Dr. Forsythe needs a new phone. It sounded like he was calling from a remote cabin or from a phone that fell off a cliff. I had to listen to the voicemail at max volume more than once. I will likely return again/switch my primary vet to this one because it is closer, cheaper, and I had a great experience. And apparently, my shy scaredy cat enjoyed the attention he received here. There are some more "affordable" vets but in terms of quality/expertise, this hospital is well worth the price. When I called around to vets in Los Angeles for cystotomy prices, Ambassador Dog & Cat Hospital were the only ones that actually do it (many don't update their sites) that are near me (don't have a car) and their estimated price was also the same $4500. They are also roughly the same prices of my long-time vet (Beverly Robertson, wonderful, estimated $4K for procedure) and especially after going to MASH, these prices might as well be pennies. CareCredit is accepted basically everywhere, but what's nice about this hospital is that they accept ScratchPay which is a god send for emergency vet loans. This hospital is in an old building, but is still very nice and clean. Maybe not as sparkling as a brand new facility, but on par with the vets I've gone to over my lifetime.

They took the time to thoroughly examine him, explain everything clearly, and answer all of my questions without making me feel rushed or pressured. My brother in law had recently moved to Canada, and his dog fell sick while still in the U.S. I was trying to figure out how to get the dog safely to Canada given his medical condition, and I called several clinics for guidance. Most places required an appointment just to answer basic questions, which made the situation even more stressful. Dr. Nassi was kind enough to explain that if we were driving the dog to Canada, we did not need a medical certificate, which meant we did not have to wait for an appointment or go through a lengthy certification process. The clinic also reviewed and validated the rabies certificate over email without charging us. As someone who does not own a dog and was trying to handle this on behalf of my brother in law, I was feeling very overwhelmed. Dr. Nassi really helped us understand the right path forward and made it possible for us to get the dog back to his owner. I am extremely thankful for the kindness and support we received. I highly recommend this clinic. The entire team, including the reception staff, was warm, patient, and very helpful.
