We are creating a landscape for a senior community, where thriving trees, fruit trees, flowers, birds, hummingbirds, and butterflies can nourish the heart and create opportunities for residents to step outside, linger, notice the seasons, and connect with one another. Ashley Eddy understood that mission immediately. She didn't simply help me choose trees--she visualized what we were trying to create. Touring the vast nursery with Ashley in our little open-air "botanical safari vehicle" was like having a landscape designer, master horticulturalist, botanist, and wonderfully charming docent all in one. She could look at a tree and help me imagine not just where it would go, but what it might contribute to the life of the community. Ashley guided me through climate, foliage, placement, fruiting trees, seasonal interest, and varieties that would attract birds and butterflies. Her knowledge was extraordinary, but equally important was her ability to listen. She understood that our goal wasn't simply beautiful grounds--it was beauty with purpose. The entire Moon Valley team carried that same spirit, from our adventure through acres of plants and trees, to conducting business in the office, to delivery. Everything was done with knowledge, warmth, humor, and genuine joy in bringing living things to their new home. Someday a resident may pick a piece of fruit, watch a hummingbird visit a blossom, sit beneath one of these trees with a neighbor, or simply say, "Look how much that tree has grown." That is what we were really planting. Thank you, Ashley and Moon Valley Nursery, for understanding that from the very beginning.

The installation was challenged by roots from previous trees. The team (Raul, Cody, Gustavo and…read moreElias ) did backbreaking digging which I really appreciate. The crew was also very respectful of this old property and polite. Thanks for these beautiful trees, they will be loved.

I discovered this location last Spring and am thrilled that it's so close to our home. We used to…read moredrive all the way out to the one that was practically in Forestville, which says a lot about the quality and values of this business. Service is warm, intelligent, and deeply informed. Plant selection for quality native plants is very good. Their plants are a little pricey --(perhaps 10-15% more than Home Depot for example) but they stand behind their plants/products. Any plants or products that don't work out, just bring your receipt and they will give you a store credit or credit your card. Much of the value Harmony offers is in the quality of the products, the plants, and the intelligent service. Seriously, there is nowhere else I could go to find out how to dig up a fern from acidic soil, and properly care for it while it overwinters before planting it under a nearby redwood tree in the Spring! Harmony Farms also carries extraordinarily unique products, such as Stella Natura's biodynamic planting guide and a wide variety of seasonal, organic specialty plants as well as hard-to-find organic soil amendments. Parking is abundant. They're located just off of the Hwy 101/Penngrove exit heading east. A large sign that says "Barn" offers a fairly quick turn on your R into a wide gravel driveway. Enjoy!

Another reason I really like harmony is they have a lot of unusual varieties that you could only get if you sent for the seed and started them yourself. They have lots of seeds pots and gardening utensils and supplies.

Each time I ask about a product, more specifically along wall of plant products, not once have one, two, or three staff on duty been able to answer questions regarding products. I realize this may be asking too much, to have knowledge on a wall of product, but there must be a way for mngmt. to help them learn enough to answer questions(Mngmt please write basic info about groups of product, figure out a system to help customers : ). I had tried something for indoor plants, used this for a month until almost empty, did not work as directed. Went in again to buy another product similar. I took a new bottle off shelf of the one I had been trying, to show two employees and ask questions as to what I might be doing incorrectly. I also brought to counter another similar product to buy. Staff was nice, although knew nothing pertaining to what either product does or how to use it possibly differently than what I was doing. They put both items next to each other and read the ingredients. Maybe I should have brought the empty container/receipt and ask for refund, not sure. Could be a brand issue but I needed help, so I bought similar and hope it works but would have appreciated insight/suggestions on the two product(the used one and the new one). I also realize I can do online searches and figure this out. The End.
