I got to the store and the manager said he couldn't except the paddle because of the missing carbon. I said that is the reason I am returning it as it is defective. He stated you didn't buy it here, so you need to call customer service number otherwise the store will be charged for the paddle if they accept it. I said you do not have a procedure for handling defective merchandise? He said call the online number. I will never buy from Dicks again. This is awful customer service.

The store sells food, clothing, boats, bikes, ATVs, hunting supplies, camping equipment, and much more. There is a waterfall, a pond with a bridge over it, and a sizable aquarium filled with bass and other species within the store. It is beautifully displayed and has a large inventory. Even though you don't need anything, it's a must-visit. There is plenty of parking, and it's in the Gulf Coast Center.

They have some cool tropical birds on their front entryway that are always fun to chat with! We have taken numerous guests here and always find the staff to be super friendly and the airboat drivers knowledgeable. It is a fun and educational ride for people of all ages and the cost is reasonable. There are other airboat operators who do the fast twists and turns in the mangroves, but I personally like this ride on Lake Trafford. Highly recommend!

When we checked in they said they were down 1 tour guide / captain. We were very understanding as they said the captain was not feeling well - so we were fine with it! And asked if we could take the 11am tour and he would give us a discount. Well the discount was the 5% she already quoted me over the phone. We finally got on our way at 11:30. I guess we were expecting the airboat to go fast- my mistake for not asking. Also this tour does not have the headsets so captain can speak to you. They do provide headphone to cancel the noise. Captain Fred was a nice enough man- however we would have appreciated him telling us a little more than 2 species of birds and slowing down when a gator appeared. We were curious about the traps that were in the water and also saw two fisherman in the center of the pond. No mention of any of that. While we quickly realized it being too hot for the gators to come to surface- that is not the problem of the tour guide or company- we would have enjoyed a little speed or something to make up for the lack of gators. I've caught the fishing bug during our month long stay in nearby Palm Island. As a beginner…read morefisherman I knew I needed help figuring out -well everything ! I had a rod and reel but that's it. I googled tackle shops and Captain Ted's Tackle was closest. I was a little nervous that whoever worked there would have little patience with a newby. The owner Jeff greeted me right away and then spent the next 30 minutes asking questions and listening to me as I told him where I was fishing (off the dock) and checking out the rod and reel I had been using. He was patient and took his time with me even when another customer came in. He set me up with the correct fishing line , hooks and lures. He even took the time to show me how to correctly tie the right knots to tie for the lines. He even gave me his card with the phone number in case I had any future questions. Supporting locals businesses is crucial and I can promise you that I won't buy anything related to fishing anywhere but Captain Ted's Tackle. That's a promise.
