The store sells food, clothing, boats, bikes, ATVs, hunting supplies, camping equipment, and much more. There is a waterfall, a pond with a bridge over it, and a sizable aquarium filled with bass and other species within the store. It is beautifully displayed and has a large inventory. Even though you don't need anything, it's a must-visit. There is plenty of parking, and it's in the Gulf Coast Center.

They were so kind and helped me with everything that I needed. So much so, that I came back for the next 8 days and bought live bait, fishing equipment, had them spool line on 4 fishing poles, rig all of those poles with leads, weights, hooks, etc. and map out great spots to fish. They have some cool tropical birds on their front entryway that are always fun to chat with! We have taken numerous guests here and always find the staff to be super friendly and the airboat drivers knowledgeable. It is a fun and educational ride for people of all ages and the cost is reasonable. There are other airboat operators who do the fast twists and turns in the mangroves, but I personally like this ride on Lake Trafford. Highly recommend!

The lake and area was impressive as well. The reason for the 3 star is that we were told to be there 15 minutes early and then actually waited 45 minutes in the hot sun for our ride to start. The captain of the boat was knowledgeable friendly and very nice, HOWEVER, he did get us stuck in a low lying mangrove area. We actually had to be towed out by another boat who actually just happened to be in the area. This put us further behind in schedule AND I'm sure shortened our actual tour because we went right back to the dock area. The captain could have at least apologized for getting us all stuck. Also---I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting but the store area was pretty sketchy and run down to say the least. Again--the big positive is we saw tons of alligators which I guess was the point of to begin with.

After not hearing anything I got ahold of someone in customer service and she told me that when that pistol came back in stock they would not honor the price they had it advertised for. I explained that I put in a buy for that pistol on their website at their advertised price. She said it didnt matter what the circumstances were they werent going to honor the price they had it advetised for.. Never been back, will never go back. I googled tackle shops and Captain Ted's Tackle was closest. I was a little nervous that whoever worked there would have little patience with a newby. The owner Jeff greeted me right away and then spent the next 30 minutes asking questions and listening to me as I told him where I was fishing (off the dock) and checking out the rod and reel I had been using. He was patient and took his time with me even when another customer came in. He set me up with the correct fishing line , hooks and lures. He even took the time to show me how to correctly tie the right knots to tie for the lines. He even gave me his card with the phone number in case I had any future questions. Supporting locals businesses is crucial and I can promise you that I won't buy anything related to fishing anywhere but Captain Ted's Tackle. That's a promise.

He took all the time in the world to answer questions and help us get the right equipment and learn to use it. The price wa incredibly affordable. I had to go back the next day because my son had an "accident" and he replaced the pole at no cost. He is a sweetheart and really knows and enjoys his business. You also have to meet Jack, his Boston Terrier who is always in the store and enjoys a little attention.
