I was looking for something to eat on the lighter side as I had been out for business dinners a few nights in a row in Blytheville. I had never eaten at a Zaxby's and was curious to try their food. Zaxby's is a national chain with a focus on Chicken and Fried Chicken and they also have other items on the menu as well. The staff was great and helpful and answered my questions about the food and suggested I try the Grilled Chicken Zalad from the 'Asian Zensations' menu as I wanted to see what all the hype was about. The Asian Zensation Zalad is a mixed greens salad with grilled marinaded chicken and comes with an egg roll. The chicken is served with a honey sesame teriyaki glaze, made with soy sauce, fresh ginger, fresh garlic, honey, brown sugar and wonton strips. The egg roll is marketed as hand-rolled in a crispy wonton wrapper, filled with shredded cabbage, carrots, green onion and seasoning and served with Zaxby's signature Sweet & Spicy sauce. The 'Zalad' lacked greens but came with a very healthy portion size of chicken. The egg roll tasted like it was a frozen egg roll that was heated up. I would give this salad 3.5 stars overall for its price range and flavours. The Restaurant itself has plenty of seating and the walls are adorned with sports memorabilia from the local sports teams, which give the interior a homey feel.
