What I didn't expect was that the next day my vision was blurry and my eyes were in significant pain. I called and was told to use eye drops. I did, and it only got worse. The following day I went to a different eye doctor and was diagnosed with an eye infection. Based on the timing, I have serious concerns about sanitation and hygiene practices at this clinic. I won't be returning, and I recommend going elsewhere.

It never got to that point. My initial appointment was 40 minutes late. Eye testing is done not in private but a big room with other people being tested, also. Then another 20 minute wait to see the surgeon, who spent three minutes talking to me. This may a routine thing to him, but these are my eyes and I'd like to have a conversation if someone will be messing with them, please. Trying to get answers to questions is a ridiculous process. No matter what it is, you have to leave a message with an initial person who supposedly forwards you to the actual person you need to talk with. I have never gotten a call back from that second person, and have spent a minimum of a week (usually more) trying to track down answers. Follow-up appointments made by Minnesota Eye Consultants with my original eye doc have been made incorrectly. They were so messed up I finally just did it myself. There has been more, but I won't go into it all, just to say I've had my fair number of surgeries and have never run into such incompetence, EVER. Am in the process of trying to cancel my surgeries with these folks. Running true to form, been waiting four days now. Think I'll just send them a letter, copying my insurance company so they don't try anything funny.

Pre-covid I loved the sales staff, post covid it depends on who you get- you can be upcharged or they can be understanding for little add ons (ie: i am in between prescriptions where one of my lens is a little thicker and had some sales tell me it will be fine and will look okay without paying extra to shave it down, and another one where I told her i was told it would look okay, she told me it won't be and I ended up paying extra and then next year I was told I was okay again). Also, i had the wrong glasses ordered so had to wait an extra two weeks once and then another time I waited a month and my glasses didn't show up so I called to be told that I needed to wait for them to call me. I waited another month and never got a call and called in and they said it's been waiting. So they don't have time to call me about my glasses but send non stop ads via texts and emails. My advice is to go for the eye doctors but buy glasses elsewhere

I had very little pain and didn't need to take anything but Tylenol for a day or two afterwards. I was surprised how little swelling I had & how quickly I recovered. I highly recommend him.

I'm a commercial roofer and wearing glasses and or contacts was a everyday struggle. It's dirty, hard, dangerous, fast paced job. Dealing with my contacts against the elements was quite a challenge. Wearing glasses restricted my peripheral range of view. I had 20/400 vision with an astigmatism in my right eye and now I'm 20/15 confirmed the day after when I went to my next day follow-up. I wasn't tested further to see if I could see any better and 20/15 vision is something to be proud to have non of the less (I think I see even better possibly). I've worn contacts that gave me 20/15 and I've never noticed to insane amounts of details I'm noticing currently now. I watched water coming out of the faucet for instance completely mindblown away for over a minute the other day. The bad - after my surgery I did have some pretty intense pain pretty similar to a bad tooth ache. I paced around my house for awhile to shrug it off (I recommend napping as I couldn't) . It subsided after six hours. I woke up the next morning and the pain was completely gone. I have a minor halo issue with street lamps and stop lights /cars are fine to me. I'll update this as needed but I swear this is probably the most amazing thing I've done for myself hands down. Everything is so crisp and detailed that I'm almost in denial (and that's going to vary from person to person. ) You owe it to yourself as I'm completely grateful I took the plunge. Honestly I have to take deep breaths as I've been trying to take in the amount of detail I'm now noticing since my procedure. Just crazy amount of details I've been missing out on. Also park Nicollet needs to teach their phone schedulers the difference between an ophthalmologist and an optometrist.
