Staff member didn't appear to have maturity to handle challenges, or interested in our dog. Based upon what staff we've met, you might get a good experience, but you're just as likely to get told that any problem is because of you or your dog, and they can't help you. Oh, and they pre-charge for the services, so if you don't have a good experience, well, that must be because you did something wrong. Pleasant for their accounting, not so much for your dog.

We signed our 2 year old rescue up for a a 2 week board and train. She is an awesome dog who needed…read moremanners and recall. From the begining Katie was easy to communicate with and we received all the informaiton we needed quickly. Lauren was our trainer and she started communicating with us before she came to pick up our dog. Day of pickup, Lauren came to get her and talked with me about what we were hoping to achieve, specifics of the behaviors we were trying to correct, etc. She made sure I was comfortable and had all my questions answered before she left with our dog. Everyday we got a report card for our dog that had pictures, video, comments on what they worked on that day and how she was doing, how much she was eating, going to the bathroom, etc. This was so awesome to see the progress! Our kids looked forward to the report card everyday so they could see our dog and it helped with them missing. I kept saying "that can't be our dog!", the progress was amazing. Lauren was always available via text if we had questions or comments, too. She did reach out a few times during the training to touch base, which was nice. The day of dropoff, Lauren arrived with our dog and spent time with us before the reunion. This was helpful to make sure she had our undivided attention when training us on how to use the e-collar, the commands, etc. We were then able to greet our dog and have a moment before we jumped right into working on all her new commands and learning how to use them. Come, sit, down, place, heel, off. 6 simple commands that truly have made a world of difference! We spent 2 hours with Lauren at dropoff and it was so important for us! She made sure we were comfortable with the commands, understood how to use them, and encouraged us to hold our dog accountable to the commands. She warned us that dropoff day would be the most challenging day and it'd get easier as the days went by and our dog was used to us using the commands and working with her. She was SO right. We work with our dog daily and it is so amazing to see how she has progressed! We now have a well mannered dog who listens. We have had so many people tell us that she is a completely different dog, it's amazing. We would NEVER have been able to take our dog's leash off and trust she'd listen and come back when called, and now we feel confident in her recall abilities. One week after training we were able to take her to a farm property and let her run free, and it was incredible to see watch her come running when we said COME! Honestly, astonishing! I was sending Lauren text updates like a proud Mom. Lauren was great with followup after drop off, as well. She made sure we know that we can reach out anytime and she'll be there to help support us as we continue working with out dog. Having her as a resource is awesome. I can't say enough good thinkgs about OLK9 and would highly recommend them for your training needs. We are so so happy with the results of our dog's training!

Our miniature schnauzer that we rescued in February this year needs grooming…read more We took her to Woof and Wander early April and again yesterday (late June of 2025). Both times scheduling was a breeze via text messages to them. They were able to work her in within a week from the request. They have been professional and took great care of her and listened well to what we asked for. I learned since her previous grooming then my giving her a bath in between about a month ago using the dog shampoo in the house that Tasha has dry skin as I noticed some flaking of dead skin on her coat. I had a dog lotion on hand as well that I started massaging into her coat every few days to help alleviate any discomfort and itching she had. When I brought her in yesterday I conveyed the information to the staff. And asked for a hydrating shampoo for her dry skin. Not only did I pick her up looking adorable and fresh but I received a text from my groomer letting me know they found some blackheads and clogged pores on her body and suggested instead of applying the lotion going forward, to bathe her with a special shampoo in between grooming and they sent me the link to it. I truly appreciated that extra care and attention to my sweet baby girl and ordered it immediately from Amazon. I will continue going to Woof & Wander for our grooming needs and would definitely recommend them! They have very reasonable prices and take great care of my dog. Thank you!

The rescue is entirely foster-based so they don't have a physical location. I had been following a few local rescues on social media as we were interested in getting a second cat. Every day I'd show Nate another set of photos of cute kitties asking if he wanted to meet them! I eventually filled out their adoption application with the idea that we'd be ready if we found a cat we wanted to meet. Once I saw "Kiwi" a little tortie cat I knew I wanted to meet her, so once our application was approved and our vet references checked, we were connected with the foster who set up a time for us to come visit. She gave us all the info about Kiwi who we were approved to adopt, so we went and picked her up a few days later and now we can't imagine our home without her. Thanks, Pet Tales Rescue!
