The over all story is about the life in a colony of insects that all interact with each other, and there is a bit of a love story to it as well. The comic routines by the "clowns" that tie the story together are hilarious as they provide great cover for the stage transitions. As for the acts themselves they are truly incredible feats. Starting with people juggling with their feet both of objects and each other and ending with some truly incredible gymnastics that features trampolines and a climbing wall the there is non stop action all the way through. Some of the most amazing things were the "butterflies" who were a couple that did a amazing suspension performance and the act that was basically a trapeze act without the trapeze. Also incredible was a slack line act that showcased some really amazing feats. As if riding a unicycle isn't hard enough, this guy was doing it upside down on a slack line. This show is well worth the money and is great entertainment for the whole family.

The people who are working the venue are really nice and super helpful. This was my first time at a concert at the Maverick Center and their acoustics are not as good as other indoor arenas I have been to. I don't know if it was the band or just the way the sound is set up in the building. There was so much base that it made it really difficult to hear the singing. The venue is decent. I would come back if there is a band I'm interested in seeing.

It felt more intimate than a huge stadium, and I loved that it was close to our hotel. The area around it was cute too, and there's a whole floor inside with different stadium-style food options. A couple things to know before going...it gets REALLY hot inside. I was sweating like I was in hot yoga even while drinking plenty of cold water. I really wish there had been better air circulation, especially with a packed crowd. Also, we grabbed tacos from one of the concession stands and unfortunately they were cold, including the meat, which was disappointing. The biggest issue was actually leaving the venue. Getting in was easy, but getting out was a completely different story. It took somewhere around 1 1/2-2 hours before traffic was properly coordinated and we could finally get moving. It seemed like the surrounding streets may have needed to be blocked off or better managed to help everyone leave. Hopefully that's something they can improve for future events. Aside from those things, we had an amazing time. Olivia Dean was incredible, and the Utah crowd was honestly one of my favorite parts. Everyone was singing, dancing, and completely immersed in the concert. Utah, I love you guys! You were such a beautiful audience to experience this with.

City Creek is also close by if you wanted to do some shopping beforehand. Theater itself is very clean. They do have a small concession stand. They also have a restaurant inside that would be fun to try before the play! The production of Phantom of the opera was incredible. We sat on the fourth row. I highly recommend sitting on that row or closer! The cast was outstanding and super talented. I highly recommend!

We were in town for school and decided to check out the Off Broadway Theatre. We saw Dracula vs. the Hunchback and it was fantastic! It was funny and interactive; they had great parodies for well-known songs and the actors were super entertaining. If we lived in town, we would be frequent patrons. When we return for graduation, we will be sure to come by if there is a show playing. What a completely unexpected and delightful night we were able to enjoy! I would strongly recommend it and am very grateful we had the opportunity to see the show in the rather comfortable fold up chairs. Next time we will buy tickets earlier and sit in the super comfy seats!

The snacks were inexpensive and typical movie theater fare. Think popcorn, candy and sodas. They were quick to get your snacks and were on time with the performance. Afterwards the cast will meet guests outside the theater which is a very nice addition. The ticket pricing was similar to seeing a movie. So, for something different and cost effective a great family night out!

I appreciate the variety they offer-a little something for everyone. The theater itself is pretty comfortable and all the seats could be considered "good" seats. I kind of like the balcony because you get a fuller view of the stage than you might get down on the floor. The bathrooms are a little on the smaller side, and can get crowded at intermission. But if you plan ahead, you might be able to skip that. I appreciate that they offer some concessions and allow them inside during the show. The Utah chocolate is my favorite, and has become routine anytime I come here. There's a good amount of parking nearby or the Stadium Trax station is a short walk from the theater. Overall, it's a nice theater and I'm glad we have this in our community. Support the arts!

While visiting Salt Lake City, I took my niece to the Clark Planetarium, and we had a wonderful…read moretime! General admission is free, and there is a donation jar near the entrance for anyone who would like to help support the planetarium. The exhibits were educational, engaging, and very interactive. We saw a model of Earth, looked at several types of telescopes, learned how tornadoes form, and explored a variety of hands-on games and activities. The moon exhibit was one of our favorite areas. We enjoyed learning about the moon in such a fun way, and getting to touch a real moon rock made the experience even more memorable. The upper floors also offered interesting exhibits about energy, space, and science. Unfortunately, a few of the interactive exhibits were not working during our visit, so I hope they will be repaired soon. Even so, we had an amazing experience, and I highly recommend the Clark Planetarium--especially for families with children. I paid $3.50 for an hour of street parking, but there is also a nearby parking garage. The shopping and dining area behind the planetarium was very convenient and only a short walk away. If you plan to stay longer or visit the surrounding shops and restaurants, the garage may be the better option.

As a lover of theater, I was surprised to learn about this one that is tucked away in the SLCC…read morecampus. I'd never heard of it until I discovered that they were playing Rocky Horror Picture Show-the live version. Since our annual pilgrimage to Tower Theater didn't happen this year (thanks Covid) I was eager to find an alternative. It wasn't until my wife and I pulled into the parking lot, 30 minutes before showtime, that we realized this wasn't the movie, this was a real honest-to-goodness play. Gulp. How was this going to be? Fast forward a couple hours...it was AMAZING! I know this review isn't about the show itself, but rather the venue. So I'll say that the theater itself was beautiful, very comfortable and spacious. It accommodated a large audience nicely, with plenty of legroom and aisle space. I didn't feel cramped, like I do in other local, small theaters. Parking is plentiful, and free. I felt like our car was safe in the lot, and it was well lit, providing extra security. Now that I know this little gem is here, I'll look into what other plays they have coming up and will very likely return.
