Well they must have come along way because I have not had a negative experience at all. The girls are caring and take time to listen to me and my problems. You could not get a more personable group. The Dr kept me informed while doing the procedure and had a great bedside manor. They even made arrangements for my transportation and feed me when I was feeling bad. Dr Solomon doesn't know me, the first time I went in for injections in my back he gave me a speech about, he will kick me out of practice if I cuss, yell, scream, and im to treat his staff with respect. I did not give him a reason to talk to me this way. I think he's prejudice against, Hispanics or because I was wearing veterans baseball cap and t shirt. He doesn't know me. I left that practice because of him. All of the need to smile a lot more often. Just a sad place to go I found another pain specialist, Dr Dallas Smith. Great Dr and the staff made me feel like they all wanted to help me. Great place to go. read more

Worst pain management clinic ever been to. I only saw the doctor once in a year every other time was the PA that has zero compassion for the patient. It took them 9 months to even set up physical therapy and a year to do medial branch block to determine if they should order an MRI. Been there over a year and nothing has been done but they are so eager to decrease medication. If your doctor refers you here ask for a different clinic. read more

This place is a joke. I got there exactly at my appointment time. I sat in there lobby for 15 minutes with 3 girls behind the counter, who would not even make eye contact with me, they walked back and forth standing to talk to each other never even bothering to say hello. After 15 minutes of intentionally being ignored I left. When I got home I called up to speak to a manager, mind you I was on hold for 12 minutes, when she came on the phone, with an attitude, I explained my situation and she says "Well what would you like me to do!?" I said "obvesualy nothing, I will just give you bad reviews" and she said "Thank you, that's great, have a good day" Then she hung up. Never have I met a group of more unprofessional people in my life. read more

Office personnel never pick up the phone. No matter what time of day you call there will always be a message saying there is a heavy volume of calls and you have to leave a message no matter what dept. you need to reach. Very frustrating when it's important to get in touch with someone. When you leave a message you frequently don't hear from someone the same day even if you call in the morning. read more

Okay.. of all the doctor's offices I've visted (four, soon to be five as of tomorrow) in the last month, this one is the worst. I got a referral from my Nurse Practitioner to come here before seeing a surgeon for my problems. I don't know why, but it didn't dawn on me that all they were going to do here was give me more prescriptions (of which I do NOT want) and send me on my way. First, they're Suite "D" 102, but over the phone I was just told "102." It wouldn't have been an issue if, just a few doors down, there wasn't another "102," apparently with an "E" in front of it I didn't notice. I walked into the wrong office and tried to sign in and then was redirected to the correct office (strike one). Once inside the correct office, there was a walk in who was being treated as if he were the scum of the Earth for having walked in hoping to see someone for his pain (not that this was an incredibly busy day with just him, myself, and two other patients waiting around -- strike two). Then, when I finally got to sign in, the girl closed the window on me as I was about to tell her I'm a new patient and proceeded to put on an earpiece to answer phones with. After about three minutes, she finally noticed me and asked me what I wanted. I told her I was a new patient and then she cut me off midsentence when I was about to ask if there were forms I needed to fill out (because of going to the wrong suite and the walk in, I was now five minutes late -- strike three for her rudeness). Her exact words were, "I'll call you when I'm ready for you." I was about to walk out when I heard her and another girl who was just sitting there playing with her hair smirking and making comments about the walk-in who was having a shitty time getting them to help him. Too bad I had an appointment and they would probably charge me for a visit if I left. Anyways, I went back and the girl taking my blood pressure was asking me questions about why I was there and what problems I'd been having. This bothers me really bad and has happened twice at my Nurse Practitioner's office as well; you don't get a person talking while they're getting their blood pressure done. My mom, who's a nurse(!), has always said this can give an inaccurate read -- sure enough, it did! By this point, I was just ready to see the doctor and hoped he'd be at least better than the people he employed. I'll admit, he was better, but not by much. He was half friendly/half unwilling to listen to everything I'd been through (9 months of backpain only to find out I have a herniated disc and a buldging disc). He glanced over my CAT scan results faxed over to him, said I was too young to have this problem, offered me epidural injections (no, thanks) and more medications, said there was nothing he could do beyond that, and sent me on my way. Upon checking out, I was supposed to be scheduled for another appointment with him in two months. The girl at the desk (one of the oh so charming ladies from earlier) scheduled me with their nurse practioner. Then, just as I was about to walk out, the one who had been playing with her hair at the front desk said she'd need a urine sample from me. Did she ever say why? Of course not. It all just seemed very strange and I left feeling unhelped and uncomfortable. So much for a pain "specialist." My dad (who, like my mom, is in the medical field) was right when he called these people "for crackheads." Unless you want drugs and to be treated badly (maybe being high on vicodin blurs their rudeness to some patients), avoid this location if you've got options to go elsewhere. read more

Do not go to this place. I waited over an hour to be seen and when I asked if this was the norm they told me yes " that some patients require extra time" just to be seen by a nurse who told me that I was not in as much pain and I thought I was.... Which I may add she had not even looked at my records. Then told me that pain is something I have to learn to deal with because I am my mid 20s!!! She also completely downsized everything I had to say and compared my pain which I have been handling for a year now to her spraining her wrist picking up her child. This place is a joke and a complete waste of time. This place needs to shut down they do more damage then good. read more

horrible horrible horrible. I discharged myself after just over a year.. in that year I had seen probably 5 different "Drs". One of them actually told me that he was leaving the practice because they didnt know what they were doing. I went in with ankle problems, and arthritis, barely able to walk. They suggested that I have fusion sugery... which I did. They continued to prescribe me morphine... (VERY LOW DOSE~ IT WAS A JOKE) and neurontin..( 1/9th of the standard prescription) flexeril, (one 1/2 of a standard script) tramadol... (very good btw--but 1/2 the standard dose). I was telling them that the acute pain was not being relieved by the morphine, please give me something that I KNOW works for me. They REFUSED. instead gave me ANOTHER dose of morphine, for breakthrough pain. all in all, my pain was NOT MANAGED at this place. Every time I went in they wanted a urine sample. I asked why and I was told its random. MY ASS. They were threatening to discharge me after my surgery because the surgeon prescribed me percocet , and I had it filled. MY BAD. I understand the contract that I signed, but good GOD i had SURGERY. not allowed any pain meds unless THEY approve, and for some reason they had a problem with me having percocet. I left disgusted, and i would tell ANYONE looking for a pain management Clinic to run far away from this place!!! read more

I went to my first (and last) appointment yesterday. I have been taking the same pain medication for 15 years or so. it is called Tramodol, and is not classified as a nacotic or a drug that is widely abused. It doesn't make you high. I also take some other meds that my regular doctor noticed could cause some bad things to happen if I continued to take them both together. He told me the pain clinic had several non drug options we could try. I'm all for that. Ok so back to the pain clinic. I walked in and went to the window. I recieved no smiles, no hello, just "what's your name?". I told her my name, and my appointment time, and said I came in early to fill out all their paper work. She didn't even look at me, but shoved a clip board out the window and said here, fill this out and bring it back with your ID. It took a half hour to do. On the bottom of the stack it had a list of narcotic drugs and said something to the effect of Are you taking any of these? If so you must fill out and sign the Contract. Well I don't take any of those so I took it back to the desk. The rude girl looked through the papers and then said "Do you take any of these drugs?". I said no. She said what do you take? I replied Tramadol. She asked one of the other girls there"Is Tramadol one of the drugs for the contract?" The other girl sais oh yeah it is. So I sat back down to fill it out. The contract assumes that every person that takes medications for pain is a worthless lieing drug addict. It said I would have to submit to random drug tests, I could not drink any kind of alcohol, I would not drive a car, and on and on. I took it back up to them and said "I am not going to submit to drug tests, I'm going to drink a beer once in a while, I am going to drive my car". "Does that mean I can't be a patient here"? I think you probably know what they said, and with that I was out the door. If they can't treat their patients with respect and compassion they should not be allowed to practice in the medical field. They are soo rude and condescending to people that are in constant pain. People that deserve much better. I am very angry with the disgusting way they treat the people that come to them for help. By absolutely NO choice of my own (insurance) I was sent to West Valley Pain Management. I had been going there for the last 61/2 years until a few weeks ago after trying to AGAIN ask a question concerning my health that I never got to ask because Dr. Tung and his wife Dr. Prineet Tung continued to interrupt me never letting me ask or finish a question or sentence. The only support I ever received from their office was when Dr. Ozkan was there (Dr. Tung's original partner before his wife completed her medical training) and from the various Physician Assistant's/Nurse Practitioner's that I saw. Janice, Eric, Bill, Annette just a few that came and left due to the as they stated to me on different occasions the demeaning, and unethical ways that they treated their patients. The verbal abuse that I received over the last and longest 6 years of my life by both doctors and their staff was horrendous. It never mattered how YOU were feeling because they ALWAYS were going to tell you how you felt. Don't ever try to question them concerning the medications they are giving you or ask to be seen sooner because you are in more then usual pain or in a major car accident after just having a spinal cord stimulator implanted in your spinal column. When you do those things, ask questions, it enrages the doctor couple and they call the police on you and file charges against trespassing against you while you are at your appointment. when the police take you aside and say that THEY are so sorry this happened to you and that you are only one of dozens and dozens and dozens that this happens to on a regular basis it makes you wonder. The police officer advised me to be diligent in complaining to the medical board, BBC, my insurance, Medicare, AHCCSS, and even ask our congressman to open up an investigation into them. I left that office that day with three people who actually pulled into the parking lot because they saw the patrol cars there and wanted to let me know that this same thing had happened to them weeks before me. Their staff is extremely rude, and unwilling to be helpful. You can stand at the front window to sign in for twenty to thirty minutes before they will acknowledge you even though their just sitting their doing nothing I advise anyone who has a chronic illness to go anywhere, but this office unless you like to feel demoralized, and like you are a bother to your doctors and that your chronic pain was caused by your own hands so shut up and stop complaining. If you see that name on your referral paper work West Valley Pain Management run, wobble, walk, or have someone drag you away from that place. Just don't go inside turn and run for your life. It may be your only chance to keep what little quality of life you have left. Once you enter those doors you give up all your rights, and what's left of the quality or normalcy of life that you once had. read more

I have suffered with interstitial cystitis, a painful bladder disease, for over three years. My urologist and I have tried literally EVERY treatment possible to help me. Finally, he encouraged me to go to pain management, as I have no quality of life. After waiting for an hour and a half, and being told to wait to go to the bathroom by the very rude front desk staff, (I have a bladder disease, remember), I was floored by the doctor's advice. I was told to suck it up and get over it. Supposedly "everyone" lives with pain. (Really? Then why did my urologist send me here?) My problem was just not trying hard enough. He said I have to "learn to live my life with pain", and told me about patients he had who were on medication, but now are off of it and are so much happier. I told him that I had been trying to just live with it for nearly 4 years, and I was tired of being housebound by this terrible disease. He refused to even look at my medical records or my medication list - huge red flag. Then he tried to sell me on a nerve block. My urologist was shocked by this, since not only is medication the FIRST line treatment, well before sticking needles into my back, but this procedure can result in total urine retention for IC patients. Just to sum up, I have a diagnosed, extremely painful bladder condition, (with un-fakeable proof) and I was told to "walk it off" by so called "pain management". read more
