Go for a wine bar and tapas experience Wowed by the service and wine recs Ambiance is intimate, for small groups in a small space Menu was great - awesome bread and meat selection

Worst meal I've had all year. All six dishes we ordered were horrible. Bland, super acidic, doused in lemon juice, and overall uninspired. Cocktails were weak too and unbalanced. 0/5. Great service though.

Really solid spot in the west village that gives off those west village vibes. The staff was so kind and had really lovely conversations with us, the seating intimate and adorable, and the wines and cocktails quite good. I liked how inventive and unique each dish was, and would go back just to see how that changes over time as you don't get that every day. Not any one dish completely blew me away which is why i'm keeping this to 4 stars, but it's a close call. Bread and butter very solid, expensive, but whatever, better than bad bread and butter. The scallop ceviche was truly excellent and served in a scallop which I loved, but was shown up by the hamachi crudo which just had so much flavor and drove a unique taste that you don't typically see in a crudo. We also did the wagyu tartare which had a wasabi hint and was realy good, but not quite as good as the hamachi crudo in my book. The delicata squash was a beautiful dish, if not maybe the most interesting in taste, but the labne accompanying it was definitely great. The graffiti eggplant however had the most interesting taste profile, a very spicy thai pepper, and was the closest dish to blowing me away with taste and flavor. The raddichio salad good and fresh, and the beet gnocchi also unique with dill on top. The Octopus with romesco also good, but again not blowing me away. Affogato was good, chocolate olive oil cake was not something i would order again, and the manager had a great conversation with us about restaurants, gave us a round of free cocktails, so very easy to like this place! We'll be back as it really is West Village cute!

Intimate vibe of a restaurant. They have seasonal items like the oysters pictured below. It was a little tightly packed and the portions were on the smaller side so you'd have to order about 5 items for 2 people. The beet gnocchi stood out to me due to the pistachios used and the sauce. However the steak tartare was slightly underwhelming along with the seasonal mushrooms. There weren't too many meat options on the menu as well

I had a chance to try the menu at West10West, in the West Village - that I just found out is owned by Ryan Reynolds. Everything was delicious, with highlights being the seared octopus, beet gnocchi and king trumpet mushrooms. The umami flavors are built up so well, with the elements of each dish complimenting each other nicely, which is intentionally done to develop your palate. The colors were beautiful too. My only note is that there are not many proteins on the menu making this a great place to take a vegetarian or vegan friend. I needed a burger a couple hours after. But this quaint little wine bar is a great place for intimate convo, and vibes.

Had a wonderful rainy dinner here with friends. The seating is very intimate, highly recommend having a reservation in advance. I'm allergic to gluten, dairy, and eggs and I was able to eat most of the items off of their rotating menu. The wine selection was also great! My favorite dishes were the trumpet mushrooms with shiso leaf, hamachi crudo in coconut milk and octopus and romesco. The wagyu was a little overpriced for the portion size and preparation in my opinion (we didn't get a picture of that dish). The service was outstanding! No notes on that front.

Some restaurants just get it. They understand how to make a night feel special without trying too hard. WEST10WEST is one of those places. The space is small, in the best way possible. It feels intimate without being cramped, cool without being pretentious. The menu is tight, seasonal, and full of dishes that make you pause after the first bite because they're that good. Every plate feels intentional, layered, and thoughtful. You can tell there's a chef in the kitchen who actually cares about balance, texture, and flavor. And don't even get me started on the wine list--whoever curated it has an incredible palate. If you love natural wines that actually pair well with food, this is your spot. Service is dialed in, the kind where you feel taken care of without it ever being over the top. There's no rush, no fuss, just a team that knows how to create an atmosphere where you want to linger. If you're looking for one of the best small restaurants in NYC, something beyond the obvious hype spots, this is it. WEST10WEST feels like a secret you want to keep, but won't, because places this good deserve to be known. Already thinking about what I'll order next time.

LOVED this bar. My friend and I went on a Friday night and got 2 seats at the bar. Small, but nice lighting and chill vibes. Our bar tender was so fun (I think his name was John?) and made us fun drinks just based on flavors/ingredients we like. I also really like espresso martinis and theirs was one of the best I've had.

My partner and I were so excited to try this place! We passed it once late at night while we were strolling and it was closed. It was still lit and we peeked through the window - it was so beautifully decorated and was giving *chic* and *romantic* vibes. Unfortunately it felt a lot less chic and romantic when it was filled with people. It's too tiny for anyone to dine comfortably or even hear each other speak. The restaurant is so small that when you're seated at the low tables and people are sitting at the bar your face is directly in line with bar-goers butts. I smelled a fart while dining. If you're above 5'8 you shouldn't step foot in here. You'll feel cramped and unhappy and the rest of us who are under 5'8 will feel attacked by your unhappy energy. Nothing on the menu was really jumping out at us so we went for a couple of appetizers/sides. They charged $9 for the bread appetizer - it was two slices of (grocery store?) bread with a pretentiously-plated butter. I'm serious - picture attached. The "Serrano ham" dish was just a plate of pretty regular prosciutto with the tiniest spoonful of fig jam in the middle for $13. I don't know why I foolishly thought it would at least be served with bread? I felt like a moron eating these appetizers: like the meme where the guy is progressively putting more and more clown makeup on. The espresso martini seemed to be a popular order, but before we entered the restaurant we watched two people dining outside sip it and make a yucky face, so we opted for other drinks. Mine was really good - it was some kind of ginger cocktail that was really excellently balanced - just enough spicy and sweet. My partner's Prosecco-based cocktail was served in a really big wine glass with a glass straw which was very fun conceptually but the experience of drinking it was noisy and cartoonish. All in all I think this place is SO quaint and sweet and the vibes are *immaculate* but they shouldn't offer bar seating when the bar is 1 foot away from the tables, and I think the menu could use a bit of a revamp. The prices are a little absurd for what you're getting, but that kind of seems to be standard now for the West Village since all the finance people have moved in and pushed out all the queer artists. But that's a rant for another app.

It delivered on both fronts, but I really was blown away by the wine. The sheer quantity of available wines is really impressive, and the sommelier was able to recommend a rare wine that fit our interests (a fantastic, effervescent, creamy Txakoli that had lovely fruit and minerals). Later, I tried amazing ice cider. The food rundown: -Sesame pizza Bianca: complimentary bread! This was very good and quite sizable. The bottom is entirely encrusted with sesame. -Scallop crudo (rhubarb, shiso): very good and the plating was gorgeous. Meaty scallops with tangy and pungent flavors. -Snowdance chicken (spinach, sherry, thyme): Super tender, crispy-skinned chicken in a savory sherry sauce. -Sea bass (asparagus, hollandaise): I was surprised at how remarkably well this dish worked. The asparagus was so good with the rich, buttery sauce. Definitely a smaller portion, but the chicken was huge so it balanced out. -Potatoes with ramps: Yum. Served hashbrown-style and the ramps were added as little sauce dollops. I loved the space, and by that I mean the ambience and also the literal amount of space we had to ourselves. We got to stretch out in a roomy corner booth. The room featured a lot of exposed brick and grey and utilitarian ceilings, but it manages to be cozy all the same.

We came in on a Friday evening and it was pretty quiet inside. After we were sat down upstairs, it took a long time for our waitress to come to take our order.
