I visited Felice on the Hudson with a friend without a reservation and was pleasantly surprised that we were seated right away with no issue. We were quickly brought menus and a bottle of water, and the experience started off smoothly. We both decided to do the Restaurant Week special, which was $45 per person and felt like a great value for the amount and quality of food. To start, I ordered the calamari and artichokes, which were perfectly fried with a nice, crispy coating and a deep, savory flavor. It came with half a lemon and a mayo-based dipping sauce that paired really well. The portion was very generous, honestly so big I couldn't even finish it. My friend got the tricolor salad and said it was fresh and enjoyable. For the mains, I got the cacio e pepe, which was creamy, rich, and indulgent exactly what you want from that dish. It was simple but done really well. My friend ordered the chicken Milanese, and trying it together with everything on the plate really elevated the experience. it was one of those dishes that just works perfectly when eaten as intended. For dessert, I got the chocolate cake while my friend ordered the tiramisu. The cake was a bit dense since it was gluten-free, but still rich and satisfying, especially with the ice cream on top. The tiramisu was definitely the standout the mascarpone was light, airy, and perfectly balanced, making it my favorite of the two. We didn't have just one dedicated waiter, as a few different staff members helped us throughout the meal, but service was still attentive and efficient. Party of 5 on a Sunday night to celebrate a birthday. The birthday celebrant had been wanting to try this restaurant, and bonus was the Sunday Supper Prix Fixe menu. $45 for one appetizer, one entree and one glass of wine. Beautiful space and attentive staff. It is a little dark to see the menu and in certain areas the music from the speakers is a little loud, to the point the staff occasionally had trouble hearing what we were saying. Amazing food and great portions. The birthday celebrant was very happy she chose this restaurant! Minor cons: 1. we were asked if we want bread for the table, said yes, it never arrived. 2. We were all served our apps except one person. Her salad was forgotten in the kitchen and it took a few minutes to see the waiter to let him know. The wine options were either FELICE ROSÉ FELICE CHARDONNAY FELICE SANGIOVESE. 3 of us had the rosé, the other 2 had the chardonnay (and we each were happy with our selections). I like that the rosé was still and not too sweet. For my app I had the GAMBERI , VONGOLE E FAGIOLI (sautéed shrimp and Manila clams w Cannellini beans. It is in like a broth that you can soak up the bread in that it comes with. For my main I went with the SALMONE medium-rare. (oven-roasted Faroe Islands pepper crusted salmon, black beluga lentils, braised swiss chard). I posted some pictures of some of the other dishes at our table. I had a taste of the FETTUCCINE ALLA BOLOGNESE and it was amazing! The pasta tastes so fresh. We somehow made room to each order gelato and/or sorbet. I chose a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of pistachio. I had a small taste of the hazelnut gelato that someone ordered and it had a slight frozen taste to it, so I'm glad I didn't order that one. The ambiance is very relaxing and cozy. Italian Bread: The soft, doughy bread went well with the olive oil. Although I enjoyed this starter, it was rather unusual to be served table bread prior to breakfast. Omelette: This breakfast plate included roasted potatoes and bacon. While the potato was tasty, it really did not pair well with the omelette. A hash brown or home fries would have been a better choice. French Toast: The french toast is undoubtedly my favorite breakfast plate. It was generously piled with several strawberries and blue berries. My only critique was that the side of whipped cream could have been larger. When I return in the future, I will be sure to order a lunch or dinner entree. Felice's management and staff made my sister's early birthday dinner extra special and intimate. I love a space with warm "butter" lighting - it makes for great photos and cozy conversations. Equally as warm was our host/manager who very subtly arranged for a candle and quiet birthday song in one of our desserts. He later joined us to make sure my sister was enjoying her experience in all the ways. Standouts for us were the Milanese and Lasagne as well as their insanely fresh and creamy Tiramisu. I called the restaurant in advance to make 6pm dinner reservations last Friday night for our wedding anniversary. My wife and I arrived at 5:45pm. The dining room was empty except for two tables: a party of 5 or 6 with a crying baby and a stroller in the aisle, and nearby a table of 2 people. The host directed us to a small table for two in between those two tables. We asked to be seated in an area of the dining room away from the other two tables, pointing out all of the empty tables. The host said he could not do so and asked us to follow him out of the dining room and back to his station where he had the list of dinner reservations. The manager then came over and escorted us to a table in the dining room right next to the waiter's station; a table that was worse than the initial table. We asked the manager to seat us in the corner so we could have privacy while we dined. The manager told us those seats were reserved for other people. We left the restaurant. I will never to go to any Felice restaurant, especially not Felice on Hudson. Rude service. read more

The ricotta was almost like a dessert- the fluffiness of the cheese, the fig, the honey The salmon was cooked medium rare with the right amount of salt and flavor. Fake fancy restaurant. They do a lot to make you feel as though that $24 plate of pasta is special. It's not. It was over cooked, under seasoned, a soup of sauce, and burned. It's the kind of plate you'd find at a dated Italian restaurant with zero quality control. It took them 20 mins to ask me how things were. When they took back my plate, I thought how hard is it to mess up bruschetta? The tomatoes were cold, unripe (bad flavor), and again under-seasoned. Why two stars? The free toasted bread they put on the table was good! So why all the great reviews? Most people aren't tasting the food--but the ambiance. came here for a dinner event - the food was wonderful and service was flawless. their menu seems to be heavily vegetable, dairy, and seafood forward and they do a damn good job with it. the shrimp with stracciatella and butter beans blew my mind. everything was refreshing and something new which isnt the norm when i picture most italian food. an amazing experience and having 10 glasses of wine to pair with the food helped. we ended the meal with a slice of tiramisu and gelato buontalenti which was the most delicious ice cream ive ever had. 4 hours well spent. read more

I came here a weekday night and had to wait for our table for ~20-30 mins after the reservation because they didn't want to kick groups out at the end of their time and didn't give us this information until we asked 15 mins past our reserved time. We ordered the calamari and the spaghetti all'Amatriciana. They were nice enough to split the pasta into two plates for us and provided free bread and olive oil at the start. They take away the bread before the pasta came, which I wish they didn't so that I could dip the bread. The calamari was good and crispy with a decent aioli and the spaghetti wasn't as spicy as I'd expect. A really cute interior and good food! read more

Fantastic food and equally great service. Our server was extremely attentive, and he was actually from Italy which is a great bonus. The vibe was perfect for a date night or dinner with friends. You know an Italian restaurant is good when they can take a simple red sauce and make it taste this elevated. Highly recommend any red sauce dishes, especially the eggplant appetizer or fusilli pasta. I went here on a Friday afternoon for a late lunch around 1:30 after going to the Whitney. The place was quiet and had probably a couple tables sitting outside, but no one inside. I went with one friend, and we decided to sit inside because it was a windy day. We were immediately seated by an incredibly kind host and staff. The interior is incredibly tasteful and has a nice ambiance, especially for an upscale lunch. We ordered the Brussel sprouts, Fusilli al Ferretto e Burrata, Nizzarda Di Salmone, and two glasses of an Italian produced Prosecco. The dishes came in a timely manner and the first thing I was surprised by was that they were a good portion size. This restaurant is part of the Sant Ambroeus restaurant group, which I have found gives upscale dining, yet often large plates with small portion sizes. Here, the dishes were incredibly tasteful and well sized for portions. All of the dishes tasted great and the recommended Prosecco paired well for lunch. During the time that we were there, only a couple tables were filled, possibly because the restaurant recently opened for lunch and I don't believe a lot of people knew about their opening for lunch on Fridays. I came here for dinner on a Saturday. We didn't have reservations and were seated right away but told they would need the table by 8pm. From what I could see, most of their seats were backless high tops except for tables in the back, which seemed to be for reservations only. We sat at a high top which didn't have a place for my coat and purse, but they immediately brought over a few portable hooks for the table and said I could take them with me after the meal, which was a treat! To drink, I had the Anita. It was a bit watered down and the mango flavor didn't come through as much as I was expecting. The seasoned rim had a nice spicy kick, which I enjoyed. To eat, I was originally going to get the gnudi cacio e pepe, but it turns out that dish does not have any pasta and includes balls of ricotta, which is not my favorite cheese. So I went with the carbonara pasta special instead. It was a bit bland and needed a good amount of parmesan and chili flakes for flavor. They brought complimentary warm bread and olive oil for the table. Interestingly, they brought the bread plate with a portion of olive oil already poured on it, instead of providing a bottle to pour yourself. So it's a little inconvenient if you want more oil for dipping than what they provide. Overall, it was a good meal and servers were friendly and attentive. read more

Our waiter and everyone that we interacted with were extremely sweet and attentive, our water never ran out because they were so quick!! Loved it We got some drinks to get started prior to the food arriving. I believe I got the spicy margarita - ir was amazing and lowkey forreal spicy which I loved. The food was also delicious, the arancini was amazing, the pasta was very al dente and creamy, and the pizzeta was great as well. The was ambience was very cute too. The front bar area is lively and bustling, while the back seating is much quieter. We enjoyed a nice dinner without feeling like we were shouting or eavesdropping on anyone's conversation. Overall, Felice was a lovely evening.
