For Valentine's Day 2025, my siblings and I ordered a dozen roses for our mom...11 red and one white to represent our dad who passed away the previous year. The arrangement my mom received was a weird arrangement of roses and orchids. It was not at all what we had ordered, but it was one of the pre-made designs offered on their website. Much more expensive than what we ordered, as well. This year on Valentine's Day, I was very specific in the way I explained what I wanted...11 red roses and one white rose ONLY and nothing else. She received the same bizarre arrangement as she had the year before. I called and spoke with Katy. I told her what had happened - twice - and let her know we would no longer use them. She offered to send my mom a new arrangement like we had ordered in the first place, and I said she did not need two arrangements, so she offered a credit, which I accepted. Only because we had a credit, my siblings and I decided to order our mom's Mother's Day arrangement from them. I left a voicemail yesterday inquiring about the amount of the credit. By this afternoon, no one had called me back. I called them today and was told there were notes on our account but nothing about a credit. I was put on hold and eventually the system disconnected the call. Katy did call me back. She read me the notes on the account, much of which I had not said. This is a strange way to run a business. There are way too many good florists in Austin to waste your time and money on this one. read more

I wanted to order something special for my friend who recently lost her third pet this year and chose this florist because of the reviews and location. I called and inquired about about a white orchid plant and they were very nice . This also came with a succulent. It is very beautiful and was delivered the next day. Orchids are not toxic to pets and I prefer to send them flowers not only cause you don't have to worry about your pet eating them but with a little care and indirect sun light you can get another bloom. Have used before and they were really friendly and did a fantastic job. I work near the store and we buy several arrangements for events and employee milestones. They have shortened their hours and last two times I went by they were not open. Caught them today. They greeted me, but when I asked about buying a smaller arrangement pointed to a cooler. No help to put something together, pointed out premade arrangements which were really overpriced. When I asked about getting something in a lesser price point we're really rude. No offer to help like I have had previously. Left very dissatisfied and empty handed. They could care less. You go in to buy a nice gift with good intentions and leave dejected because it wasn't a $300 plus one, so they turn up their nose. Smaller sakes can add up as well in the long run. My crazy old boss introduced me to Westbank Florist. She used to send me arrangements from them when I was sick or having a birthday and such. The arrangements never cease to amaze me. I actually have a collection of photos of the arrangements I've received from them. When I need to give flowers locally, Westbank is my first call. Everything they do is completely original and absolutely gorgeous. Last year, my mom was in town for Mother's Day, so I had them send her an arrangement. It really blew my mind. The next day though, some of the flowers looked a little tired. My mom called them and they brought us a completely different and new arrangement for no charge with their apologies. I generally try to avoid negative reviews, but I had an absolutely terrible experience with Westbank Flower Market. I agree they have a lovely website and would add that their bouquets look quite nice in pictures. However, this past summer I ordered a bouquet for my girlfriend and was told that the delivery window would be by 2pm that day (I ordered at their opening that morning). Well as it turned out, they didn't attempt delivery until 4pm. I was in the shower and missed their visit but called within 10 minutes of their attempt. I was practically chastised by Cindy for not getting the door despite their being two hours past the delivery deadline. Still, not wanting conflict, and needing the delivery as I did, I had to bribe them to return (on a bouquet that was already in excess of $100 w/ a generous tip)! At the end of the day, what I received was entirely underwhelming. In fact, it was a stumpy looking little thing that I almost wanted to toss away in embarrassment. I would recommend avoiding them until they can get their act together. read more

Our wedding was at the Wildflower Center, so my only real botanical needs came in the form of bouquets and corsages for the wedding party. We had a formal, 400 person Spring wedding at the Driskill Hotel on Easter weekend and I knew I wanted flowers to be a big part of our wedding day. I had two meetings with Keith and Tyler and they were friendly, attentive, and easy to work with. We discussed colors and types of flowers and they completely understood my vision for a ballroom full of whimsical, glamorous arrangements that gave a nod to the Easter weekend and Springtime. They took that vision and executed it beyond my wildest dreams. On wedding day, Keith showed arrived with his team and filled the entire second level of the hotel with one stunning, breathtaking arrangement after another. He incorporated flowers into our 5-tier wedding cake, the dessert table (including a moss-covered Easter bunny!), on every mantle and credenza, every table, every bar, the ballroom entrance, the ceremony altar, and candles and petals up and down the stairs, down the aisle, and even the restrooms. There were alot of surfaces to beautify and one arrangement was more dramatic and beautiful than the next. The garland and moss-covered Easter basket they made for our flower girl and the bouquets and boutonnieres for our families and bridal party were picture perfect. Guests literally walked around all night oohing and aahing at the beautiful arrangements. They created a Spring Easter wonderland and there was so much for the eye to take in. Some guests said they felt like they were in a movie. Keith and team are professionals in every sense of the word and their talent and creativity is exemplary. We are fortunate to have such talent in Austin and my wedding would not have been the same without their expertise. To say that they went above and beyond would be an understatement. To add to their workload, I asked them to a) create a custom bridal bouquet for me made of cascading Phalaenopsis orchids b) incorporate a stuffed white peacock with a six foot tail into the flowers and decor c) create arrangements for my Persian wedding spread Once again, home run on all counts.
