Delicious!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Rustic ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Friendly service. Outstanding fresh food! Downtown Westboro very convenient location.

Very solid Korean spot. I wasn't expecting much for a place in the suburbs, but I'll admit that it was pretty good. That being said, I don't think this restaurant could compete with most of the Korean restaurants in the Allston neighborhood of Boston. The quality/flavor profile was a step below, but still solid. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was pretty casual and the decor was simple.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waitress was really kind and gave good recommendations. It was my friend's birthday, so I requested a dessert. They didn't have anything available but the waitress somehow pulled a little something together, which was much appreciated! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good spot if you're looking for something lowkey.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I've had the experience of family cooking and a warming grandmother doting over me at this place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you've never had Korean food, nor had the atmosphere. I'd say stop by to experience that![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has all the basic dishes, brought out to the lovely grandmothers that will clean veggies and watch Korean dramas in front of you, and you'll feel like a kid growing up again.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was top notch! Food aside, phenomenal, hot, and certainly filling to the point where the two times I've been here; all led to me taking home more food haha 5/5 would come back with friends and family :)

Our favorite Korean restaurant in the area closed in the past year, so we decided to give this restaurant a try despite the dilapidated exterior. This appears to be an authentic Korean spot, run by a hard working family, and the type of local business I love to support. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First impressions were not great. It appeared their beer refrigerator malfunctioned, so beer bottles were out on dining tables near entrance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Water was served in plastic cups, and while the water tasted fine, the cups smelled strongly of dish detergent, which was off putting. We were also not offered refills of our water as our server was doing double duty filling and sealing dumplings while we dined. The banchan, including kimchi, a soy/sesame cabbage, a mayonnaise slaw, and vinegary smashed cucumber were okay, but nothing that I felt compelled to request more of. The Spicy Pork Belly was a generous stir fry portion, with most of the spice coming from jalapeño (or another green chili pepper variety) in a nondescript brown sauce. Certain pork pieces could have been thinner, or rendered longer, as they were chewy, but others were thin and tender and quite good. There was a nice mix of veggies as well, including peppers, onion, carrot, celery and broccoli. Perhaps I'll get a craving for kimchi jigae as the weather cools and give them another try, but this first experience didn't leave me eager to return.

Came here because they're open late on our way to Maine and needed to have dinner. It's an unassuming place, small, family owned, 2 Korean ladies working. Nothing fancy about the interior. Service was friendly to our group. Food was good, I've had better Korean somewhere else but this place hit the spot. The ojingu bokkeum, "stir fry squid" was hot and spicy, my personal favorite, not enough squid tho. Gobdol was good, japchae was delicious, galbi was overly sweet and the galbitang was plain. Banchans were okay, I've had better, kimchi wasn't spicy. Price were cheap. I'll definitely try something else again. Definitely not the best Korean compared to other places.

Honestly, if I were in NJ or NYC, this place would probably be 3 stars. However, I'm in the vast wasteland of the suburbs of MA, where usually there are no Korean restaurants to even be seen, so I have to be fair. We came here for lunch on a Thursday. The restaurant was empty and service was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered jajangmyun, galbitang, and tangsuyuk because my Korean boyfriend was so excited to have Korean food for the first time since moving to MA. The side dishes were okay, nothing to write home about. The galbitang was honestly pretty good, though not the best I've had. The jajangmyun was on the sweeter side and my boyfriend did not think it was very authentic, but I thought it was okay. When we saw/tasted the sauce for the tangsuyuk even I knew something was off, and my boyfriend was disappointed. The sauce was much redder than it is supposed to be, and had a very tangy sweetness and flavor to it kind of reminiscent of the orange sauce you get sometimes at Chinese takeout places. I asked my boyfriend if he thought that maybe the food here is different because of regional differences in Korea, but it seemed unlikely. I have to emphasize that nothing here tasted bad, but we would have had a better time if we had never had Korean food before.

Amazing dinner at Westborough Korean! Started off with the spicy rice cakes which were covered in a sweet and spicy sauce and served alongside vegetables. Appreciated the complimentary Banchan. Mains were Korean stew one with spicy miso broth that had the umami flavor I was craving but was light on fillings. Other was a noodle and seafood soup which was filled with perfectly cooked noodles, assorted seafood, and vegetables. Service was exceptional, they went above and beyond and created a makeshift birthday cake and candle for one of our guests despite not having desserts available. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Looks like a cozy casual house, easy street parking in the downtown.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came in for lunch, and it will probably be my last time. Another disappointing experience. Service hasn't improved... not friendly (both servers) Food was just blahhhhh... Slow service even though there were just 3-4 tables. Ordered a kimchi pancake and it was greasy and soggy. Not spicy at all. It tasted more like they mixed the kimchi juicy with the batter so to give the flavor. But the napa cabbage tasted just bland. The tofu soup stew was below ok. I found some cooked water crest, bean sprouts, tofu cubes, some thin sliced daikon radish. It's like leftover veggies put together!!! Would not recommend this restaurant to a friend...

    Kimchi jiggea

If you are looking for an authentic Korean restaurant. This is it! I lived in Korea for over a year, and when I stepped into this restaurant, I felt like I was transported back to Yongin. Everything we ordered was delicious. We went with our favorites--dol sot bimi bap, bulgolgi, kimchi jiggae, and gan poon ki. Our 10 year old & 8 year old thought the food was delish! The service I'd typically expect from Korea.

Tofu and seafood miso stew and beef bulgogi. Amazing. I can't wait to go back. The broth was so delicious. I keep dreaming about it

Came here with my Mom. Everything was simply delicious. The banchan is beyond generous in terms of variety and everything we had was great.

Does this restaurant have vegetarian options?

I'm about 70-80% sure yes. Even the sides that come with meals like 7 or so of them are vegetarian and interesting. So I know I could make a meal on that in a vegetarian configuration :)

The servers were proactive in removing empty plates from the table, brought extra napkins without us asking, brought out the order sheet frequently without us asking, and checked in twice throughout our meal to see how we were doing. There was also a couple who came in for the first time and the wait staff took 15 minutes to patiently explain the difference between the kbbq and hotpot in Spanish and even gave recommendations. I'm not sure why they aren't more busy. Great service, plenty of parking, and good quality meats, and helpful staff.

This was my first time trying this style of dining where you cook the meat at your table, so I was really excited going in. Unfortunately, the food was not good at all. Several of the meats we were served did not seem fresh, and the overall quality was very disappointing. Instead of enjoying the experience, I found it unappetizing and honestly couldn't wait to leave. I know everyone has different tastes, but based on my experience, I would not return or recommend it. I was expecting a fun and memorable meal after such a special occasion, but it ended up being one of the worst dining experiences I've had.
