Instead of fighting the notorious Houston traffic, I decided to pay $3.25 each way for the Park & Ride service. The trip took about 45 minutes each way. It was worth the money and time, I was chilling with my MP3 music on the bus. I got off the bus fresh, relax, and migraine free both ways. Safety was not an issue since there was so many riders at the station even at 6:30 a.m. The only complaint I got was that the seat was a little on the hard side. Definitely will take the Park & Ride again.

They also dropped and broke one of a pair of antique lamps and then offered me $35 for it. A customer service joke. The move took so long that I finally had to climb into the truck myself and use the lift gate to get the move completed. These people were milking the clock for every dollar they could squeeze. The move should have been half of this cost. I waited to write this review to see if they would step up to the table customer service wise. But offering me $35 for my broken lamp that cost $250 is a joke. Especially after I paid over $1k for a one bedroom move. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Avoid at All Costs I…read morehad an extremely disappointing experience with Bayou Movers at 10505 Town & Country Way, Houston, TX 77024. This was by far the worst moving experience I've ever had. First, the movers broke my son's gaming PC during the move. On top of that, when we arrived at the new location, my family and I had to help unload items off the truck ourselves because the crew was struggling. One of the three movers appeared to be injured and was unable to properly help lift or move furniture effectively. To make matters worse, they completely left behind an entire room full of items at the old location. I had to rent a U-Haul the next business day and move everything myself, which cost me additional money I never planned to spend. They also damaged the back of my brand-new couch with a noticeable nick/scratch that could have easily been avoided if it had been wrapped properly. I even paid an extra $25 for shrink wrap, which clearly did not help or was not used correctly. Another major issue was that they did not assemble anything at the new address because they were already over time. The movers also did not seem to have the proper tools or equipment needed to handle the move professionally. I contacted management and was told to wait 72 hours for an update. It has now been 6 days, and the only follow-up I've received was from Latasha, who said she would speak with management again regarding a resolution. Since then, nothing has been done. Overall, I wasted a significant amount of money, time, and energy dealing with this unprofessional and incompetent company. If I could give them below 0 stars, I absolutely would. Please do yourself a favor and use any other moving company but this one. Avoid Bayou Movers at all costs.

Uber generally gets me to where I wanna go in Houston for relatively cheap, considering the sheer size of this city. There always seem to be people available nearby and have never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a ride or so. Prices are going up. It seems like the drivers are getting pinched more and more. The drivers are often interesting people. You don't really know who you're going to get- it's fun chatting them up, but some just wanna be left alone. I wish there was a setting in the app to let you or the driver know if the other person would rather be left alone. This city is big, that you have to watch it- going from, say, NRG stadium, to the Woodlands could be an expensive endeavor.
