This was one of the worst medical experiences I've ever had. I was directed here for an open MRI because they aren't available in my network and I'm highly claustrophobic. OK, fine. I'm directed here and described my needs. I was actually pleasantly surprised that they had a 10pm opening (I'm a night owl). And while I ended up needing to cancel, I was able to get another appointment at 8:45pm. The building is close to LAX, so the drive was a little crazy. But when I finally got there and turned into the parking stricture I realized it was closed. Given that the appointment was at 8:45pm, I had assumed on site parking would also be open. I was wrong. The only parking available was stretch of shoulder on Sepulveda (a possible tow away zone or a shopping center specially for shoppers. I realized that I could be towed at either location, but I risked the shopping center. Strike number 1. I finally got into the building and found the suite. It was completely empty save for the receptionist. She seemed nice enough, but gave me a single page to sign (I had already signed it digitally, but I can let that go) and asked me to sit down. Now, the Imaging Center made it very clear to arrive 20 minutes early. And I was there with plenty of time. About 20 minutes later the tech came in and said my last name...and left. Without so much as a "come with me." Assuming I wasn't getting an engraved invitation, I followed him. He had me sit down and I took off my necklace, the sole piece of metal I was wearing. I also used the restroom. When I was brought into the MRI room and saw the machine I stopped and asked "Is this an open MRI?". The tech sighed. He had obviously been asked this before. It was one TYPE of open MRI where the sides were open, but the top was even closer to your face than a regular MRI. I balked. And I took a breath and decided to try it. It was awful. It was even more tomb-like than a regular MRI. After a moment I told the tech it would not be possible. I admit he genuinely seemed frustrated. He mentioned he had been trying to get the management to inform patients of the various types of open MRIs available (sitting and standing are available and often better for those with claustrophobia.) I sympathized with the tech, as this was clearly not his fault, but the fact the management had either ignored his important comments (or just didn't care) was pretty damming. Major strike 2. I finally went back to the receptionist and asked if the Imaging Center had other machines available or whether I needed to go with another medical center. The poor creature seemed clueless. It seemed hard to believe no one had asked this question before. I never so much as raise my voice to those that don't make policy, so I thanked her and told her I'd look into it. But the fact that I had no other person to ask or get information from was infuriating. Strike 3. Overall, this was the least professional and most slapdash medical facility I have ever visited. I left feeling infuriated: I was stressed, my time was wasted and I had to spend time in the tomb of the so-called open MRI. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

Ive been referred to this location and there has always been a problem with my authorizations. The 2 women in the front desk don't even bother reaching out to the referring doctor to see if there is a referral submitted. Both times I took the correct authorization forms and once I got there, they tell me they cant take me in because the forms are incorrect. I don't understand why the scheduling department didn't tell me that instead they went ahead and scheduled me only to be rejected on my appointment. It's frustrating having to wait for an appointment only to show up and be turned down. read more

Issues with the medical records dept. I called asking for my last MRI on a CD. They offered to mail it to me, but it never came. I then had to drive to the office 45 min away to get a copy. I called ahead asking for them to have the CD ready, but was told it's always a 20 min wait and they can't get it ready ahead of time. When I arrived the person in the front office said it would just be a sec. I waited 3 min for the CD. So confused. read more

If you want to be treated as sub human and a name on a piece of paper while dealing with serious issues of health, life, and death - then look no further! The staff here will happily oblige. From their incompetent scheduling department who will schedule appointments that apparently "aren't the way we do things" to the not so super supervisor who will berate you and treat you like garbage in front of your own child for THEIR scheduling error, it's sure to be the time of your life. Perhaps it'll even cost you your life. They are rude. Disorganized. And for so many people who may be in a very medically and emotionally fragile time in their lives - they deserve better. Canceled & Lied About MRI Authorization Worst scheduling ever. Had an appt here for several weeks. Was canceled day on Friday for a Monday morning MRI. On a VM that I got (and still have it) operator said that the authorization for the MRI never came thru. First, I check with my insurance and I am not required to have an authorization for an MRI. (1st complete lie). Then they also said that my doctors office submitted the wrong codes for the procedure. This is also a complete lie. I called their office. I spent nearly 2 hours on the phone and had been bounced around to 6-7 operators. Finally someone tells me the truth that their scheduling dept messed up and didn't schedule the contrast part of my exam correctly. I've had nearly a dozen MRIs in my life. This place is garbage. Excellent care and quick service. Maria is one of the Medical representatives that assist you at the window when you arrive. She is always professional, kind and extremely helpful, because of her I always request my doctor's to send me to the Westchester Advanced Imaging - RadNet facility. All of the technicians are great. I deal with claustrophobia and an M.R.I. can be a challenge for me, but the technicians always calm me down and before I know it I'm done. read more

Was quoted a $120 cash price for an ultrasound. Upon arriving 1) I had been told that a fight just broke out between two people in the lobby and that one of those people told another patient to "keep her ******* head down" 2) At check-in I asked to confirm the cash price for the ultrasound and was told $395. Westchester Advanced Imaging Center combines incompetence with patient abuse, by failing to notify women like my wife, who had a firm appointment for a full scan of her female organs, that the Imaging Center refuses to do such a scan without a specific referral from a gynecologist -- the fact that their Beverly Tower Womens Center had repeatedly done such scans on my wife in the past did not matter at all, nor did their rude office staff´s having wasted our trip from home to downtown Los Angeles for a promised procedure which they then refused to perform. The previous year, they had refused to do a promised mammogram because the staff member scheduled to do the test did not bother to show up for work that day. AVOID THIS PLACE !!! Laura needs to be retrained in customer service and how to do her job properly. I was there for an ultrasound for my 4 year old and after sitting in the waiting room for over an hour and half I was told they don't accept my insurance. She didn't make any effort to confirm or try to make sure that was the case. After speaking to my insurance and having them handle it , I received a call from the manager with a half assed apology asking if I wanted to reschedule and they do in fact accept my insurance. I said NO not at your location will go to Santa Monica location and hope for a better outcome. Complete waste of my day and time .This is an important test for my daughter , that may determine something serious and it's just delayed my worries and stress having to wait longer. read more

Terrible patient care. I have a necessary procedure that needs to be done yet because I was 30 minutes late for my appointment the female representative at the desk refused to help me. I understand it's my fault I was late but this is about a medical health issue and a medical professional should be capable of rescheduling me for just a little later. I was happy to wait however the rep never gave me the option they refused me service and I left. Why would I put myself in their care when they obviously have no care for a patient whatsoever. Avoid this place! I will reschedule with another medical professional. This office also preemptively called me to make my appointment which I should not have allowed. I didn't realize they were just trying to rush to get my business. They didn't even have complete authorization for my 2 procedures which they never informed me of when they called me to solicit my business. I arrived for my scheduled mammogram. The woman at the front desk told me I did not have an appointment in their office that I was scheduled in another office. I said well, I didn't make up this address. She told me I needed to call the Beverly Hills office and figure it out with them. 30 minutes later, I get a call from their office telling me they made a mistake and I am scheduled in their office after all (oh, what a fucking surprise). What's wrong with people today. This place is just fine. Geez! It's an X-ray place. Industry standard: X-RAYS ARE WALK-IN! As as far as the MRI - THEY ARE ALL LOUD. The office staff - their just fine. Actually, they're just PERFECT!! If your at all claustrophobic their Open MRI is the only way to go. Just like the tech said, "Picture a hamburger. My job (also in the medical field) encourages us to give what they like to call "charitable assumptions". That's all fine and dandy, but I gave this place so many charitable assumptions, I could damn well be the next Mother Teresa. Let me take you back to where it all started -- Last Friday, I was given the prescription for a left ankle MRI by my podiatrist in Torrance and told to go next door to schedule an appointment. I walked over to Torrance Advanced Imaging or whatever it's called (the sister branch in Torrance), and the waiting area was so small that I needed to step outside if I wanted room to think. I walked up to the desk and the receptionist was COMPLETELY overwhelmed by how busy they were. It took about 15 minutes of standing around before she took my information and booked me in. Great. I made an appointment for the following week after work and left. Not even an hour later, I get a missed call and voicemail from Torrance Advanced Imaging saying that they needed me to go to Westchester for the Open MRI. I'm not claustrophobic but at this point, I just want to know what's up with my ankle. I give Westchester a call to reschedule and they told me that there were no notes in my chart about needing to switch locations. As I was attempting to explain what happened, the woman I was speaking to wordlessly transferred me back to the Torrance office to reschedule for the Westchester location. Let's fast forward to Tuesday. My schedule opened up and I wanted to see if I could get an appointment 1-2 hours earlier than the one I currently had. I was directed to RadNet's general scheduling line and provided my information (as one does when calling a medical facility). This is when things started to go downhill: 1) I was appalled to hear that the person on the other line couldn't find me in the system. 2) After she DID find me in the system, she told me that there weren't any appointments at the times I wanted. That was fine. But what wasn't okay was her saying "I don't know why you can't take our afternoon appointment if you want to come earlier". 3) I asked her if I could be put on a waiting list in case someone calls last minute to cancel and she *scoffed* and said "we don't do that here, but you can call back". Again, whatever. I agree to call back and reach back out during my lunch. I happen to speak to this amazing gentleman named Paul. He was so bubbly and sweet. He told me the exact same information (there were no appointments at the times I wanted), but wasn't rude about it. Later in the evening, I realize that there's another RadNet facility near my work and call the scheduling line again to see if THAT location would have anything. I was told by another gentleman that they didn't have anything for the time I needed. I also learned that there were no notes in my chart expressing why I needed to switch to Westchester. I was also told that there are no Open MRIs at that location, so they will be following up to see what happened. Alas, my appointment time comes around and I park on the street. I get to the imaging center more than the requested 20 minutes ahead of time. I even filled out the paperwork before I got there (it's posted on their website!). So I get to the imaging center and there's NO ONE at reception. Like.... *no one*. I sign myself in and take a seat. About five minutes later, I see a lady (tall, blonde hair in a bun) walk behind the reception desk. She had on grey scrubs and she looked out into the lobby. I gave her a smile and she acted like she was looking right through me. She messed around with a few things and then disappeared into the back before someone else (a lady with short curly hair) came out. I sat in that waiting room PAST my appointment time. It was nearing almost an hour and I was about to leave when the receptionist asked the tech how much longer it would be. The tech came to get me and - as mentioned in another review - took me into another waiting room. The tech was chill. He seemed tired, but I 100% get that. His bedside manner could use work, but he got the job done. Would I come back here? No. Do I trust them charging my card before I even SAW an MRI machine? No. Will I be referring my patients here? I had appointment today to have 4 tests done and I ended up leaving. I was not comfortable with the social distancing, or should I say lack there of. Unless your idea of social distancing is 8 people in a small stuffy waiting room with no ventilation. I wasn't the only one who noticed this; another patient chose to stand outside in the hall, holding the door open because she didn't think this arrangement made sense either. I was told I could fill out my forms online before I came in if I wanted to save time and avoid waiting around people. When I signed in at front desk (and there was a line in this small stuffy room to sign in), I was still greeted with a bunch of forms that had to be filled out asking the same redundant questions I had already answered. To make matters worse, they didn't have an order for one of the tests I was scheduled to have done (but I'll chalk that up to the incompetency of my doctor's office which I had to call numerous times just to have these orders sent in). I hung around in the hallway but when I found out the wait for mammogram was an hour (and I still had 3 other tests to go), I decided to leave. Despite wearing an N95 mask, I was still uncomfortable being there as this was my first medical experience since the pandemic began. So knowing all of this, proceed at your own risk. I don't know that I'll be back and it's a shame because I'm taking a gamble with my health either way. read more

This place is a nightmare. I called the number on my doctor referral which states that no appointment is necessary for imaging. So I came in for a mammogram and chest X-ray. The waiting room was severely overcrowded with people waiting in the hall. The receptionist was very rude to everyone she spoke to, very dismissive, including to me when I gave her my two referrals. "You need to call and schedule", I pressed and she said they only see people for regular X-rays not mammograms which must be scheduled -- I told her I also have l a chest X-ray in the referrals-- oh, whoops. I explained that I had actually called in advance but she said I needed to call a different phone number. (How could I know that?) This is clearly a procedural issue with the referral system. Fine, but I had to press to get in for the chest X-ray. I filled out the forms and waited, and waited and waited... 90 minutes went by when I checked in and saw that my file had been put off to the side, I'm guessing in the wrong pile. "Oh...ok, pay your co-pay and go on back." Very frustrating. Oh, and when I did call I learned they can't see me for a mammogram for over 2 months. Some of this is just healthcare and HMOs in America and the massive dysfunction. Some of this falls on the staff here , who no doubt are simply overworked and totally burnt out. It's a viscous cycle. The patients were all so frustrated, one man literally started yelling at everyone. The actual technician was lovely and helpful once I got into the room which was after 2 hours. I'm very lucky I didn't get a parking ticket. I cried when I got to the car. read more

Off the bat they greeted me with "3 hour wait time for X-ray walk-ins" they offered to text me and I already didn't have a good feeling. After waiting 2 hours I walked back in to ask for ETA & they told me my insurance wasn't approve. How fckn ridiculous. 2 hours and had I not walked in who knows how long I would have waited for no fucking reason. read more

I went to get an ultrasound, and I felt the technician was very rude. Don't get me wrong, I'm not looking to make a new friend when I go to a medical building, but I am looking to be treated kindly. The nature of my exam required my full abdomen to be exposed while looking to the entry door. After she was done, she literally walked out in less than a second and said we were done and left the door WIDE OPEN! I saw people outside that I'm sure saw me, and I felt SOOO embarrassed and exposed. No private part was visible, but I've never had my stomach fully exposed in public. That is NOT okay. I felt my privacy was violated. Other than that, the place could use a remodel and deep cleaning. Also, they don't validate parking. When I went there I saw lots of free street parking but watch out because it's only for an hour. Expect to be there longer even if you have an appointment. My recommendation is that if your insurance covers other locations, go somewhere else PLEASE! You deserve it. read more

I made an appointment to have a mammogram. I came in as scheduled. after filling out my paperwork I was sent to a waiting room in the back. While waiting for my name to be called I stuck in my ear buds to watch a movie on my phone. I saw a tech arrive at the door. she called out someones name and since there were only three people waiting and none of them looked up I assumed she must of called my name. I took out my ear buds to hear what she was saying she never clarified that it was me. She approached me and said they were not going to be able to fit me in because everyone showed up for their appointment. she went on to say I could wait until after the next appointment but its two hours long if I wanted to. But right now They are all going to lunch. I told the Tech I wasn't told when I scheduled the appointment that I was being "fit in" and I have to get back to work and can not wait. She was like yeah. I said fine I will reschedule. She responded please do. a little distraught I left the office. I arrived at my destination and noticed two calls from Westchester imaging. The person on the phone says that the Tech who gave me this information gave it to the wrong person and my appointment was an actual appointment. I had to reschedule since I was already at work. I scheduled for the next day. I arrive to the appointment. The Tech who is doing my exams is a little rough and not friendly at all. Giving orders like a sergeant and pushing my breast here and there. I didn't even feel like the images taken were thorough. She was just doing enough to get me in and out. Well I received a call from my Doctor that the results were inconclusive and I will need to have more images done. what a waste of my time. read more

Do yourself a favor and do not come here. I arrived at 9:50, it's 11:56 and I am still waiting. There are four people ahead of me. When I signed in I was told that the wait was an hour and a half which was fine because I had time to kill anyway. As you can see it's been two hours and I'm still here. Visited this office twice and after the first visit I should wrote a review but this issue wasn't mines however the ICDC college receptionist was quite rude to a lady in the waiting lobby. There computers were down and a lady was a bit confused and I guess the receptionist didn't have the 45 seconds to explain to her that she couldn't be seen that day. One would think if the systems are down you should a whole lot of free time to explain to a patient or client with a little more finesse. My second visit and an entirely different receptionist was just as rude with a lady asking a simple question. She literally told they "This is why people need to kind there business" I know people have their moments when your tired frustrated or having a bad day but customer services extends with any direct contact with people in a place of business. OMG!!! What kind of a xray center is this ? Too many people, crowded, third world country looks, 2 hour delays for walk-ins, smelly robes and what not. Customers openly shouting, arguing with the employees etc. No parking nor validation thank you for third class service. Very dirty place and tons of paperwork to fill in each time you go. My regular xray place was closed in Marina Del Rey or I would have never ever come here had I a faint idea of what is in store for me :-( PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AND FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GO. read more

Had to get an ultrasound for a mass my doc found. These people really lack bedside manner. The student tech and the main tech were both insensitive. It's nerve racking already to not know what this mass could be and then they are so uncaring, cold, and abrasive. Additionally, they acted annoyed when I asked what the exam involved because I was very nervous and unsure. During the exam, they discussed the student's schooling. I was just a number on their TO DO list. When it was done they both didn't say anything to give me relief. They simply left the room without providing direction. A simple, "You can get dressed" would have been appreciated. This is likely not the right field for insensitive, easily annoyed chicks like this. We have been here a couple of times. You sit in one dirty reception then they put you into the back to another waiting room. Yes, the people are nice but the place is pretty gross and outdated. While that is all fine, the thing that pissed me off is that we went to do a bone age xray for my daugter for an appt we had with a specialist. We waited for this appt with this specialist for 5 months and this xray was one of the most important pieces of information that was required for the appt. Westchester Imaging gave us the xray on a CD (which I had to wait over 30 minutes for them to even burn it) only to find that when we finally went for our appt, NOTHING was on the CD. The whole appointment that I waited for over 5 months was now pretty useless. I called Westchester Imaging and they said they would mail out a new CD in the mail the next day directly to my Doctor. My Dr still has not received it and its now been over a week. When I called to ask when they sent the CD, they said they sent it on June 27th which is ridiculous as we did not even have the xray done till july. Needless to say, if my Pediatrician recommends any other type of imaging service done, I will not be coming here. read more

Upon entering promptly before my appointed time, I first saw old faux leather chairs falling apart and two ICDC or Everest College dropouts will greet you with the friendly "fill this out and sit" ....I wanted to walk out but my insurance (gotta love the military) approved this place and it would take an act of God to make them switch. I was then moved from waiting room #1 to waiting room #2 "come in, walk towards the faded blue curtain and sit in the room on your left".... so I sat....after that it was quick. The room was ghetto and old and the tech wasn't sure what she was even suppose to do an ultrasound on and asked me....weird. read more

I came to the facility to get an MRI done on my knee. They initially told me to go to room 111 which I did and sat there for almost 10 min (in a less than comfortable office) until they told me they moved the MRI section down the hall. I thankfully got there really early! The actual office was very pleasant, clean and spacious. The woman at the desk was lovely and actually joined you to fill out the paperwork and hand you results instead of just calling you to the counter. This did NOT go unnoticed! They have an open air MRI which is so much better than those tubes and put noice cancelling headphones on your ears with some music. They also check in with you via intercom periodically to let you know the time. I would definitely come back here in the future. read more
