Went to renew my medical card. I only get a year renewal since I have HBP. My card was gonna expire and had a few weeks left to renew. I went to this exact location since its close to my job. Did my physical, everything checked out fine. Then all of a sudden as the practitioner is finishing her paperwork she asks, "Have you ever had a sleep study?" I said "no" "Well you have a neck size of 17 inches and you have hbp so its required that I give you one, im only gonna give you a 3 month certification but you have to schedule a sleep study with your primary care physician" I get upset because im like why in the hell would you wait until the end of my physical to hit me with that curveball? It was bad enough the hell I had to go through just to keep my blood pressure under 140/90 then she hits me with that bull****? As im asking questions, she kept cutting me off before I could finish any of them. She knows that was some bull****. And im guessing they been doing this to plenty of commercial drivers whom im sure had the same questions. She kept blaming it on new DOT rules but talking to my other co workers, other concentra locations wasn't doing this. I would have loved to have known about the damn sleep test beforehand, that way when I came to renew my medical card I could have had everything already present so that way I could keep my year certification without running the risk of not being able to drive. If you dont have a DOT medical card, it is illegal for you to drive a commercial vehicle. Remember I only got a 3 month certification and it took 3 months to get an appointment with kaiser for a sleep study. I took the sleep study and found out I had mild apnea but they still gave me the cpap machine. I also come to find out at the same time that I had to sleep with the cpap machine for at least 21 out of 30 days in order to renew. By the time all that would be done, my medical card would been expired and I wouldn't have been able to work. The shit was such an inconvenience and stressful situation that I ended up going out on disability until I was able to gather enough cpap data to renew my medical card. All this happened thanks to this location. If you have a commercial license, stay away from here. A few of my co workers gave me a location where ill have to pay out of pocket but I won't have to deal with this inconvenience. This was a very unprofessional experience, won't be dealing with them again. With the way that was done, I'm wondering if theyre in cahoots with any of these medical companies that sell these cpap machines? read more

It's actually sad the state of health care. It's crazy to think the amount of money people spend for insurance premiums, deductibles, copays etc for lackluster or bare minimum care. Online (Google, Yelp, the company's website) all list this as a 24 hour urgent care, when arrived I was asked what brought me in and I explained I'm having an issue with my ankle I've been dealing with for a couple days the "nurse" told me that wasn't an emergency because I had been dealing with it for some time and the doctor is only taking emergencies. I asked what would be considered an emergency. Is this not an urgent care, I was under the impression the name was self explanatory hence why I did not go to er. Needless to say I was refused care because they do not offer urgent care services after 5pm. And I would need to come back tomorrow morning. I went to Concentra Physical Therapy after work in a lot of pain. I did not want to stay. PT Melissa did not disappoint!! I I did all my routine and was thinking omg this is going to make it worse. At the end of my visit I was pain free and thanking Melissa for sticking to the routine. She said sat up keep walking and the more you stay stationary the harder it will be to walk. Even when we arrive 30 minutes early and come regularly, we always end up waiting over two hours to see the doctor. They're never on time, and when we ask for an estimated wait, they respond rudely or just say we can reschedule. It's always backed up. The only good part is the therapy side. I came to this urgent care because I was in pain and needed help, but my experience was really disappointing. The physician I saw told me I could go back to work even after I explained multiple times that I was still in pain when walking. I tried to make it clear how uncomfortable it was, but instead of listening or taking it seriously, he just said they'd be releasing me from care. Easily the most unprofessional medical experience of my life. Was seen over an hour after my appointment by Dr. Joel Myers DO, the most unprofessional Doctor I have ever encountered. Came in aggravated, spent 90 seconds in the room, ignored what I told him, said I was fine and ran out. When I asked to discuss he threatened to call security?? I never raised my voice or anything.. I simply asked for a couple of minutes to talk about my injury. I have never been treated this poorly by any business, let alone a medical practice. I was sent here for a work-related injury and if I could review 0 stars/5 stars I would. I arrived to Concentra around 2:00am and they were extremely understaffed. There was no one to be seen for over 50 minutes until the gentleman came out at nearly 3:00am. Right away I could tell that this man did not care about his job and he asked us how long we had been waiting and why we did not wait until tomorrow to visit a different location. You could tell he was bothered that someone had dared to even show up. He was so insensitive to a workplace injury that was extremely painful. There was just a complete lack of empathy and no sense of urgency. I understand he was the only person working but he could have been so much nicer and had a more positive attitude. He literally said I waited so long and honestly all he was going to give me was Tylenol. I've been coming to this clinic for 2 months for a tailbone injury, and every visit has been frustrating. I consistently wait over an hour, even with an appointment. Sometimes they check my vitals and leave me in a room for another 30-60 minutes before I'm seen. The doctors are dismissive and uncaring. I've repeatedly said I'm in pain and that Tylenol doesn't help, and they just tell me to keep taking it. I explained I wasn't ready to return to full duty at work, but the doctor ignored that and cleared me anyway. I ended up in so much pain my first day back that I had to return to the clinic after my shift. The staff are also rude and unprofessional one phone rep didn't schedule my appointment even when she confirmed it and the doctor completely ignored me when I thanked her after a visit. This is not my first visit to the LAX Concentra. I have been here plenty of times in the past four different employers. I had a very bad experience with a black lady and I don't remember her name, but this was roughly a few weeks ago. I presented to her the authorization form and she told me in the future to go to the location that is specifically on the authorization letter first of all, she doesn't know what she's talking about Because I have done this in the past you can go to any Concentra as long as it's Within the same county, she was very rude and very sure of herself and had a funky attitude and slammed my ID on the counter. I wasn't feeling well that day, but I should've asked to speak to a supervisor or manager if I ever have the opportunity to get her name I will definitely report her! The location that was on the authorization form was way too far for me and it was hot that day and I happen to take public transportation with all that being said you don't treat people like that watch how you talk to people. I had also witnessed another employee being rude to a black guy that was waiting for a long time. All I know is they don't have to worry about me anymore. I will never visit this location again. It has gone downhill. It used to be my favorite Concentra in Los Angeles but the one by the Beverly Center and El Segundo is way better in my own personal opinion. read more

I went to the hotel next door to print my documentation and waited two hours for attention even though this was considered an minor emergency. I am so disappointed in this location!! My husband split his chin and we rushed over to this urgent care just now. The security to the building wouldn't let me go up with him upstairs due to COVID (which is understandable) so I went back to the car. However, when he got up to the 2nd floor the security guard there began asking him what his problem was and that this location was specifically for workers comp injury. He claimed that my husband would have to fill out paperwork that the staff could look over and turn him away based off his injury. The security guard said "they'll probably end up turning you away." Which totally discouraged my husband from even stepping in. Shame on this location for having its security guards ask PRIVATE health questions and discouraging people from seeking help.
