Always Pleasant Experience! I have used this urgent care a few times. They used be located down the street from the current location and open nights and weekends. Now they are open daytime during the week. Over the last few years I saw them for a sore throat, shingles, and more recently, a finger cut. Never had to wait too long. All four doctors seem pleasant and knowledgeable. Office staff is polite. What is also nice, that at least in my case, they never charged me for the follow up visits. They don't take my insurance, but my insurance doesn't cover urgent care, anyway. Reasonably priced. read more

I can't rave about this clinic enough! I wish I had found it years ago! I'm a contractor without health insurance. I got a nasty, nasty insect bite on my left knee, which didn't go away for weeks. I was being stubborn, thinking it would go away on its own, and resorted to texting photos of it to my MD friends to get a diagnosis. They all told me to see a doctor in person. When I began to have trouble walking, and called a friend to cancel snowboarding because I couldn't leave my bed without being in intense pain, he demanded that he take me to a clinic. A good friend recommended this one. Here's the lowdown: - They don't take insurance. They do take credit. If you do have insurance, you can try to get reimbursed.... one patient was reimbursed $45 for her $65 visit.... Not bad! - All visits are $65 flat, no income verification needed. With the meds, shot, and visit, my total was $170 out the door. I've been back 3 times for follow ups, and I'm not charged for them. The doctors just want to make sure I'm healing properly. - ALL of the doctors and techs are the friendliest, most caring people I've ever met. I never feel rushed or dismissed, and they always take the time to explain everything to me in great detail. They're always willing to work with you to get the care that you need, too. When I hesitated at the price of Vicodin, the doctor found a pre-opened bottle and gave me a few tablets to get through the day. I've seen two doctors, both of whom are excellent doctors and just friendly, nice men who are easy to talk to. -The doctors communicate with each other frequently. The second dr. I saw already knew all of the details about my injury and how I was being treated, before I came in and met him. - Open Saturdays, Sundays, and evenings until 10PM! - Nice, clean facility with friendly receptionists. I've never had to wait longer than 10 minutes to be seen - All prescriptions can be filled in-house, making this a one-stop shop. Meds are cheaper here, too. The care I received here was infinitely better than any primary care provider or specialist I've seen back when I had insurance. I wish more people knew it existed. I would have just gone to the ER, which would have been MUCH more expensive and with nowhere near the personal attention given here, I'm sure. Are you kidding me!?!?!! I cannot begin to explain how nice it was to go here and not have to wait four, five hours to be seen. Literally only took about 10mins for them to see me after I had filled out all my paperwork. I was a walk-in. And in all honesty it just got better and better from there!! 4 Stars. Minus one for the receptionist and/or another doctor potentially running a scam? I love the place. The receptionist is nice, the clinic is clean and modern, and Doctor Patel was friendly. I wound up needing a few blood tests for the doctor to complete his diagnosis. They cost a total of $95 (CBC, kidney function and something else), plus the $65 office visit. For comparison, my mom's doctor at Healthcare Partners in Monrovia would charge AT LEAST $350 for the visit and lab tests without insurance - $110 office visit (price increases depending on the "complexity" of the visit) and $240 for lab work. We had a few minor problems during our visit. The person who took my blood pressure was very nice but it took 6 tries to get a reading. Turns out my mom had the same problem. Then when he took my blood sample, he told me that the doctor would be right in with my prescription and instructions for aftercare. We waited for half an hour before we went to ask where the doctor had been. Turns out, the doctor thought we had left! And then he misquoted both our lab tests and it turned out they were more expensive than we thought. The reason I withheld a fifth star is the receptionist, despite being friendly. They never called me for my lab results, so I called them. She informed me that Dr. Patel hadn't reviewed them, but asked if I would allow the on-call doctor to review them. I agreed and was called back quickly. She informed me that my labs were so abnormal that they couldn't give me the results over the phone. I was told that I would have to pay the office visit fee and come in-person if I wanted the results. I left a voicemail for Dr. Patel asking that he review my results and call me back. According to Dr. Patel, all of my results were perfectly normal, and he had no idea what the other doctor might be referring to. SCAM? I think so. Especially when you consider that Dr. Patel looked up the prices of my labs, but the receptionist charged me significantly more. Dr. Patel was very apologetic and was afraid that I'd get the wrong idea about their clinic. I say if you like the doctor you see at New Care, stick to them, or try to see them in their own practice. read more

AWESOME! Evening clinic right by my work that isn't an arm and a leg if you need to get checked by a doctor. No insurance needed or also great if you have a high deductible and it's not something completely serious. They do the more serious stuff too. I mean a guy got stitched up while I was there the last time. EEK! I wasn't feeling well, had an intestinal infection, got some antibiotics and was gotta there for about $100 or so. They can do labs/tests as well for an additional fee and it doesn't seem like a whole lot compared to other places, but I told them I'd do it next time if the antiobiotics didn't kill of whatever was causing me issues. So glad my friend gave me their business card. Dr. Patel was professional and thorough and they have late hour appointments so I did not have to miss work. The Front Desk Receptionist was very professional and sweet. I don't know much about this place but it seems like they are NOW OPEN because they simply care. Just when you hit that moment of despair, a plea for someone to offer help to me, a place like this comes around to remind you that there is help available, yes, even without insurance. I'm a hairdresser, not a doctor, when you know you need professional medical help there's only a few options without health insurance. This is sad for America. After receiving no care from my primary doctor on my swollen knee and telling me that I didn't have anything wrong, I decided to come to New Care Urgent Care. BEST decision I made. The time and care that the doctor gave me was great. He could see that something was wrong and didn't give me the run around or try to give me things I didn't need. I went to this clinic on a Sunday after 2 weeks of an uncomfortable feeling I was having. Service was quick and the doctor was personable. I don't have insurance coverage at this time and the fees were reasonable. The doctor offered additional test although he didn't think they were necessary. I elected to go with one on the test for my own peace of mind. Results were quick and the front desk woman called to confirm my test were cleared after I left. Let's make it clear. I hate doctors and hospitals. I have a hard time finding doctors I trust, and being a student and having a shoe-string budget for medical care doesn't really help either. That's why I was fighting a sinus/cold issue for a loooong time with OTC meds, hoping that it would soon go away. Well it didn't. So I decided to give New Care Clinic a try, after reading the great reviews here. And I was more than impressed. Never have i been seen by a doctor so quickly (no awkward waiting after being checked by the MA/nurse... I literally spent less than 5 minutes waiting for the doctor to check me up!) and have been treated with so much care. I was first seen by Dr.Mikhail, who was very nice, cool and easy to speak with. He instantly made me feel comfortable, and answered any and all questions i had. I was also seen by Pateli, who fixed up my allergic reaction to penicillin, and made me feel safe. Both doctors were amazing, and they were very sincere in their practice. Not only that, the staff here are also very kind and careful too. I paid $90 for my first visit ($65 for the visit, $25 for the antibiotics) and $45 for the next. I was able to get the medicine at the clinic on my first visit, which was very convenient (Dr.Mikhail also was very honest about this- I could probably have gotten the medication for a little cheaper if I picked it up at a pharmacy, but the clinic offered it too for convenience) The second time, I had to go pick up the medication at a pharmacy, but that wasn't too bad either. I will definitely be recommending New Care Clinic to people I know, I am so thankful that I have finally been able to find a clinic/doctors I can trust in the 3 years I've been living in LA! read more

AMAZE-balls!! I don't have insurance, but DID have a fever of 102. I found these guys on Yelp and thought, why not. I was NOT disappointed. About a minute after I filled out my paperwork, they called me in. I had a lot of one on one time with the doctor to ask plenty of questions. He gave me amazing advice. He wasn't there to rip me off or give me tests I didn't need. They diagnosed me, gave me antibiotics, and sent me on my way. My visit and medicine came to under $100!!!! WOW! went in yesterday for a odd febbrile virus and i was visited by a very competent doctor who finally believed to go deeper in finding the cause. I was finally treated as a real patient, my concerns where listened to and evaluated. They're able to offer me an array of medical exams at a very very reasonable price, so together with the 65$ visit, i walked out of there with a bill of 170$ + flu exam, blood exams, urin test, liver& kidney test. The facility is simple, but spotless clean and modern. They seem up to date with technology and are able to process most of the simple exams in house. Obviously for blood and more complicated lab tests, they have to work with an outside facility. I don't have insurance- i'm just visiting LA for a short period of time, so my experience at this center was as close to as the one i have back in Europe, where medical care is free and available to everyone, the visits are thorough and exams don't break your bank, even at the ER. This small clinic is brand new, they've just opened at the end of last year, and i would recommend it to anyone who needs good care at a fraction of the price anywhere else. Most of the doctors also work in other "traditional" medical facilities that work with medical insurance, they're extremely professional and competent. This center is open from 6pm-10pm on week days and daytime on week-ends. They don't take appointments but the wait is really quick. I'm glad i found New Care and it's just because i read the great reviews here o Yelp, so i feel i should contribute with a review too, and help someone else in return. read more

Believe it - 5 stars! I just came home from New Care Clinic and it really is worth every penny of the the $75 physician visit. I fell on the sidewalk today directly on top of my left knee cap and needless to say I'm in a lot of pain. Going to New Care Clinic was the best decision because it met all of my needs: 1. They did the proper intake paperwork to know my medical history (the front office person -Karen- was awesome!) 2. I was seen by the nurse within 5 minutes to take my vitals 3. I was seen by the doctor within 5 minutes after the nurse to discuss my medical history, allergies, any medications and then to examine my knee. 4. I was told based upon initial examination what could be the outcome in the most realistic sense 5. They took x-rays of my knee to ensure there was no fracture considering the amount of pain when pressing on my patella 6. The Dr. had the results immediately and interpreted them to me on the spot - no fracture! 7. I was then given a free ice pack and a knee wrap (ace bandage) to help my recovery :) New Care Clinic staff deserve five stars for their professionalism, medical knowledge and friendly demeanor. I wish I remembered the names of the physician and nurse so I could mention them personally. I also wish they had a way to advertise on a bigger scale as their services should be recognized in the community. read more

Well, imagine an after hours clinic that is open from 9am-6pm on weekends, and from 6-10pm on weekdays, that is affordable ($65 per visit) with highly skilled doctors who are kind, concerned, respectful and do not make you feel rushed. This review is a month late, but better late than never. I was in LA a month ago visiting when I got pretty sick with a bacterial infection. I didn't know any doctors in the area and when I decided to go see a doctor, most offices were closed by then. So I was really glad when I saw the 5-star reviews for New Care Clinic as well as their hours. I stopped by, the place was really clean and the receptionist was super friendly. The doctor who saw me was also really thorough in my check up. I'm almost a little sad that I don't live in LA or I would make this my regular doctor since they're so friendly, clean, and patient. They don't accept insurance since they are an after-hours urgent care facility, but the receptionist was nice enough to print out forms for me to send to my insurance to see if I could claim it. I feel pretty lucky finding this clinic, since I am not from around here and with no insurance, I didn't know where to go. I almost gave up to pay some sketchy place on the internet or over the phone to write me a Dr's order or note that I needed because I was desperate. In any case, I decided to search online just a little bit longer and found New Care clinic online. The service is great which is extremely important in a hospital. The people there are great and the room seems clean, well-lit, with a TV playing to educate/entertain you. This place just made my night, since they don't open until 6 pm. I didn't notice the parking lot in the back, so I parked on the street. The prices were pretty low, and I was still to be honest afraid of going. A flat fee of $65 and no insurance taken? So, I cut my thumb, and it wouldn't stop bleeding. By the time I decided that a band-aid would not suffice, it was about 8:30 pm. Thankfully, New Care Clinic takes my insurance, is close to me, and open until 10. The parking is off a small street parallel to Sepulveda and a bit tricky to figure out the right place to park. Easier to enter from La Tijera and drive into the alley than from Manchester. The clinic was very clean, and there was only a couple of minutes wait. They are only open after-hours. I was able to get stitched up pretty quickly and the staff was all very nice and helpful. They ask for a wound check 24 hours later, and I mentioned that I was in some pain then. The doctor continued to follow up and made sure that it was healing properly. They seemed to take precautions appropriately, and the front desk staff was also very clear about billing. I found the whole process to be stress-less, and my cut healed well, thanks to New Care. read more

I ended up here a few months ago after a simple sore throat turned into tonsils covered in what appeared to be white fur. This clinic is kind of a hole in the wall and a bit tricky to find - or maybe it was the misadventures of my GPS system from 1992. You almost feel like you're going into a secret underground clinic. I had to call from the parking lot and figure out where it was. The receptionist was good-spirited and we had a few laughs as she directed me to the entrance. I was the first patient there as soon as they opened (as I had wanted to be) and I did not have to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen. The receptionist was friendly and had a cool braid. I was seen by Dr. Paz Eliat, who is probably one of the nicest doctors I've had in a long time. He was patient and spent a good deal of time chatting with me about tonsillitis (which it turned out I had) and my accompanying hypochondria. I wish he could be my general physician! The other urgent care clinics (including the one covered by my insurance) had really depressing reviews on here. The last thing you want to do when you are anxious and sick is deal with a place described as "rude" and "ghetto." This clinic lived up to the great reviews and it was worth paying cash to avoid a poor experience elsewhere. read more

I use to love this clinic but I am disappointed this time. I had high fever in January. I came to here to check up. I had Influenza B so the doctor recommended to take Tamiflu. I took it after 3hours start migraine and nauseous. I call this place again to see the doctor again to follow up because my condition got worse and worse. I saw another doctor was my favorite doctor Peter however, he just told me to take MRI and he didn't try blood test or anything. He continued to telling me worst situation and go to ER. They didn't check or anything. I found another great walk in clinic next week. She found my all problem and she gave me three shots and some medicine for my sickness. I never came back this clinic again. I really liked this clinic but they seems like they don't care about what patients need and do not check up well. It made me sad. read more

Finding this place was a real treat. It was actually my husband who spotted this place out in search for affordable, inexpensive place to see a doctor and he hit the jackpot with this one. The doctors and their assistants were extremely pleasant - great service. Not only did we wait for less than 10 minutes, but in the waiting room you get to see a nice documentary (Earth) in a modern flat screen TV. The doctors attended my husband very well plus they were very thorough in examining the issues. No rush service at all despite the fact they only charge $65 for the visit. I extremely recommend this place for those who can't really afford health insurance or a regular check up and for those who can't really afford to miss work since this place is open after work hours and weekends. I'm under employed and don't have medical insurance. In the past my prescription was on a 90 by mail basis but simply didn't show. I called the company back in December, and while I was assured it would show and would be my final prescription NOTHING showed. Busy with working on gainful employment approximately a month went by...woke up 2 mornings in a row with a searing migraine and realized no prescription ever arrived....I look around trying to find a copy of the prescription and hoping a free clinic can help me. Fortunately I a found a few of the tabs; took one and started looking for a doctor (cheap one) that will fill my prescription. I've never been to a "free clinic" and quite frankly wasn't certain of what to expect. What I got was this very congenial Latin man (very young and kind of hot) that asked me to fill out some information. After that I saw Dr. Mikhail who took my blood pressure which was very "elevated". This process was repeated 2-3 more times with the conclusion is I really do need my prescription. He wrote a 1 month prescription for me and gave me a referral to another doctor in the area who will do a full assessment of my BP issues. I've got nothing but good things to say. The office was ultra modern, but in a little bit of a removed location...the signage was very hard to see and quite frankly a little hard to find, but well worth seeking. The service was an 8-9 quality and the office itself was a 10, no torn chairs, no old magazines, and no icky receptionist. Nice. read more

Wow what a place! I've come here several times but have not had a chance to post a review. My most recent visit was after I was rear ended on my way to work and couldn't deal with the pain in my back and Neck. The entire visit from check in to check out was exemplary. Dr. Mikhail was extremely compassionate and reassuring when reviewing my x-rays and did not try to up sell me once on any unnecessary treatment. Not only that but he was able to dispense the medication I needed saving me a trip to the pharmacy which is unlike other urgent cares I've visited. The entire staff was caring and professional and were timley with their efforts. At no point did I feel rushed! And not to mention the facility as a whole is aesthetically pleasing. I came to NCC because the doctor I was supposed to down the street was closed at 2pm, and needed someone to look at my sore throat, which I was convinced was strep. I walked in around 2:15pm, and there were only two people in the waiting room. The receptionist was very friendly. I filled out the mandatory paperwork, and she even offered me some water while I wait. She also told me upfront that the consultation would be $75 and if I ordered tests outside of what they were giving me, it would be an additional $35 (she said I could decline it if I didn't want it). It took my about 20 minutes to see a doctor because someone ahead of me was getting stitches or something. I was ushered into a room by another friendly nurse (I wish I remembered their names!!!), who cracked jokes and make me feel comfortable while waiting for the doctor. My doctor was Dr. Mikhail. He checked my throat and said it might be strep. I was given a throat swab by the friendly nurse, and five minutes later, the doctor came back in and said that it wasn't strep. If I wanted, I could take another swab, but this time, it'll be sent to a lab where they would have a thorough picture. I declined at first, but I went back minutes later because I wanted a for sure answer. I was prescribed antibiotics to take for 10 days. I am very satisfied with NCC!! This is the best clinic on the westside. The staff is very helpfu,l the office has easy and convenient parking and you get seen pretty quick.
