I…read morerecently endured an extremely anxiety-inducing situation at the Supreme gym facility where another member (picture is included) nearly physically assaulted and verbally abused me. The employees at this location sided with the hostile gym member (later on in the altercation the gym member made it obvious that she has an external friendship with the supervisor, Sarah Claunts). Sarah Claunts, the day time gym supervisor, spoke to me in a condescending and sarcastic manner while I explained to her the situation. Long story short: I played music softly (emphasis on softly because the volume was less than halfway on) while warming up in an open workout studio. The hostile gym member was on the opposite end of the room doing their workout. As soon as they heard my music, they immediately started screaming "NO NO TURN YOUR MUSIC OFF I AM NOT GOING TO HEAR IT". Considering the individual was so hostile, I ignored them and turned my music down. The individual then began to approach me while saying "IM SPEAKING ENGLISH DONT YOU UNDERSTAND ENGLISH?! TURN IT OFF". At this point, the individual was now hovering over me while I sat on the ground, all while they clenched their fist and screamed so aggressively I even felt spit come out of their mouth. I explained this situation to the staff, even recorded the situation, and all they could say was delete the footage and don't play music or record ANYTHING/ANYONE in our facility. I immediately sent an email to Columbia association explaining and they could not even apologize for the way I was treated. All they asked was to speak on the phone. I said I wanted to speak through email and they did not want to continue investigating this matter. Attached are photos of the obvious hostile member and how close they were to hitting me. I don't know how else to go about this matter besides warning other people to avoid Columbia in its entirety. I blocked the individuals eyes to protect their identity. Columbia Association should be the entity held accountable for this.

I had a lifeguard unable to provide a bandaid in a timely manner while my child was crying and bleeding and then couldn't figure out how to activate the ice pack either. They can blow whistles but that's about the exent of the help. The pools are often filled with hair, dirt and leaves not cleaned up. And normally, these issues wouldn't bother me but knowing how much memberships are and all the money pouring into CA it's just not acceptable to cut corners and hire the cheapest help and not have practices in place to make it a clean and enjoyable space for all. My email to CA: "I think it is absolutely ridiculous the amount Columbia Association charges for memberships nearly $200 for a family of two (one being 3) on a monthly basis AND then rarely communicates closures or bookings of spaces. I have taken my kid many times to the pool only to find out is closed for a class. I'm not sure why you need to close the wading pool at the Columbia Gym for an aqua class that only takes up the lap lanes. Making it completely unusable after 5pm most days. I've had instructors rudely yell at myself and others to leave the pool area 5-10 minutes before a class even starts. To me it seems like Columbia association is overcharging members then charging for other clubs that then take that space. Essentially double dipping and limiting members. Same can be with the outside pools and the swim team takeovers. This lack of transparency of how often these spaces aren't available is not reflected in the contracts at all. I went to Supreme today thinking I could take a meeting from the lounge. I could have easily taken it in the common area at Columbia Gym but I thought this space would be quieter. About 20 minutes into my work call about 20 kids came in abruptly and loud with their "counselors". I intentionally checked the door for signage before setting up and checked again when they came in. There was ZERO mention of kids or activities in this space. The only thing listed was Thursdays. I spoke to the counselor and she said it was for Tuesdays and Thursdays. And if that is the case then CA should have absolutely had signage on the door and it should be transparent in your app. They also have had times where signage wasn't up at the columbia gym pool either. Columbia Gym is also severely overcrowded to the point where machines are not available. Teens and kids get discounted family rates, yet full-paying adults like myself can't even use machines because teens are sitting, texting on equipment or catching up in groups around machine."

Sewing classes for kids is the favorite of many kids. I highly recommend this center and school to anyone who is looking for well-rounded students and holistic educational system. In addition, they have concerts, Masterclasses for adults. They also have a working cafe. It is a hidden gem in Pikesville.

It was a requirement for my wedding, so everyone smelled good the entire time! Also, working with the team at MSB was so effortless! Also, Rachel girl! You broke your curse! She handed me a slice of my cake and didn't drop it! It was a demand of mine and she achieved it with beauty and grace and I'm so glad. The perk of this venue is you have on-site staff for your vendors or wedding planner to contact for any questions AND the venue is open from 8am-midnight! All my vendors were so happy and thankful for that, so they didn't have to rush set up or anything like that. The venue itself is beautiful; we had to do a room flip which was so cool how they magically did that so quickly. The furniture that was already there was great and the outside patio was so relaxing for cocktail hours. The restrooms were so clean and the studios for the people getting married were perfect! Overall, this venue was perfect, especially in case it rained, which it was supposed to, but it thankfully didn't. Parking was a little crazy for most, but that's going to be anywhere in a city area, thankfully all parking spots were at least free, so no one had to pay or worry about being ticketed. We also loved that our caterer brought in their truck utilizing the parking spaces in the front, which really made the outdoor patio feel more private and connected to the party inside. Considering that all vendors are booked independently of the venue, it made DIYing our wedding easier. Scheduling walkthroughs and mapping out the venue floor plan with Rachel was a breeze and Gemma was quite responsive via email to answer any questions you had. Booking our date was especially easy given that we requested a weekday at their hourly rate. On the day of, Tyler was the acting venue manager and was also great and easy to work with. If we had to do it all over again, we would still choose MSB. Thank you for making our day the best day of our lives!
