My new old gym! I've lost many pounds here over the decades.. I used to be a student at LMU and…read morethis was my very own gym when I was a student here. Now as a local permanent resident I found out that it's possible to get a community membership which is about a third of the price of my last gym however, this gym has better hours!!! I really love the basketball courts, as well as the pool and in general all of the natural lighting. It's such a bright and airy and gym... the opposite of depressing. You actually want to be here to work out. Why I'm giving this place five out of five is not just the customer service from the student workers who are super friendly and nice, but I really appreciate all of the adaptive equipment I can use here as a now disabled adult. I only wish I knew I could join sooner !

This is a great facility if you are a student, faculty, or staff member at LMU. It is very…read moreconvenient if you are on campus. This gym seems to get crowded in the afternoons, but still, there is still room to obtain a good workout. The machines are actually pretty modern. It is still a rather small gym, but has all the amenities you'll need to achieve your fitness goals. It is still much better than going to a mainstream gym like 24 hr fitness after work because the rec center is exclusive to the LMU community.

EXCELLENT little park!…read more we had Sofia's birthday picnic here. had to put down a $200 check deposit to secure 2 tables and a bbq pit. front and center location was where they put us. good shaded area for this warm and sunny day. the tables were slightly on the smaller side, well, for a family of filipinos and mexicans at least. the bbq was the traditional park type. off the ground and large metal grates. the area we reserved and the area around was immaculately clean. grass was trimmed nicely as well. the slopes that are typical with my little town were negligible where our spot was. further out on the fringes, you can notice them. the park has it's own private parking lot which makes it very convenient. there is a "kiddie" pool on site that was very popular on this sunny warm day. the deep end was 3ft and the low end was 2.5ft. awesome for the little ones. well, not mine since we werent' dressed for it. overall, we're looking forward to coming back to hang out here and have another picnic. maybe not as grand of a scale as a birthday party, but, a little bbq and some sun. also, we'd love to come back and have the kids check out the pool. we should get some use out of our $10 recreation card!

We come here mainly jn the summer to use the pool. It is nice for small kids because they have…read morelifeguards and the pool is shallow enough that you don't have to worry. This summer we came the 2nd weekend and it was closed both Saturday and Sunday. When we called to ask why it was closed they said they didn't know. Today I called at 11:45 and they told me that the pool would be open at 12. When I got here we were told that they ran out of chlorine and were waiting for someone to bring some. Then at 1 we were told they would open at 1:30. Finally at 1:50 the pool opens and I'm told that my rec id had expired and I need to renew with 2 forms of id or pay. I said we've been waiting for almost 2 hours and we need to leave soon by the time I go home and get that it will be too late can you just let us in. The guy said uh no. Also if there is a birthday party the pool gets packed with kids and parents. Once the pool gets dirty they close the pool and tell you to come back next time usually within the last half hour. Also at the end of the season the lifeguards start to call out so if there are not enough lifeguards the pool can't open. Also they charged me $1 more than what is listed on the website. If you're coming from far away I wouldn't recommend. If you're local and have a rec ID it's worth taking a chance but expect to be disappointed

For a big box gym, I can't complain. What surprised me is this location uses Rogue bars, bumpers,…read moreand GHR machine for their hub rack area. But as with any other big box gym, the expensive specialized equipment are also subject to wear and tear. The GM is personable, and makes the rounds to check on people, equipment and cleaning wipes, which are readily available and most people seem to use, so bravo to that. It gets crowded, particularly during the late afternoon to early evenings. During my time here, I've not been snubbed by people, and have offered others to work in because waiting between equipment can take time. Dumbbells are more often than not in the racks where they belong when not used, which is rare in big box gyms. This is probably one of the better big box gyms around. I enjoyed my time here.

I will get this back to 2 stars becuase the work out here, when not crwoded is just fine. Just have…read moreto pick your spots. Now, on to the parking again. So, I have gotten some of the methods to parking decent enough. Because of my soon to be new hip, I need my door to be wide open when getting back in. Some of the people working there have been helpful. Now, on to a parking issue today when leaving. I was parked in the inner spot, that means that one of the attendents need to move the other car. Well, that took say 15 minutes as this parking guru was too busy doing nothing and I raised my voice at bit to say "when are you going to move this other car," and he was far away from me at the time. When the jerk finally started to walk to the car he told me to be polite. I am polite but not after the wait on the tarmac without a response from the cockpit. Ugh...the parking here is such a mess and I wish they would hire some decent folks, pay them well and all could be happy.
