I had a Tragus piercing and it was fine. I had headaches after but I am not sure if it was due to piercing. But I had also previously gotten both ears pierced from them. Paid 300$+ every single time. Most of it was for jewellery which was extremely cheap. They sell it as 14k gold or something but it's definitely not that. And they don't let you have a piercing unless you buy gold jewellery which is more designer then the basic studs. So all in all very basic experience. Wouldn't recommend. Even though you get good service the piercers are still new and inexperienced and the jewellery is trash. read more

This company was at the Westcoast Bound 2016 in Feb 2016. Being Valentines weekend, single and interested in a piercing, after an extremely thorough online search and two day intermittent question and answer, on sunday Valentines day I went ahead and got two piercings. Yes. Left and Right (and thats not my ears) :) Of course no one could agree on how long exactly it might take to fully "heal" however I've not had a regret yet and still love em. Today, 9 months later Im visiting their surrey shop with a booked apt. Showing up an hour early to review my upgrade options and availability, I ended up choosing a pair of anodized teal titanium d-rings, each with a sparkling gem. We had to go from 12 gauge to 14 due to them not having it in stock in the titanium (steel wont anodize). I additionally went from the lower curved barbell to a thicker guage and slightly shorter curved segment with a same sized ball on the top but two sizes bigger ball on the bottom. (That piercing was done in 2008 at Next downtown granville Vancouver, BC) I left feeling über pleased at my upgrades. This is the best service, best have hygienic piercing and tattoo place ever. I met Kelly many years ago after having a bad issue with someone else's piercing. Kelly showed me that the hoop that was put in was not titanium as I was told and proved it by bending it by hand. They also had pierced it to shallow but that's ok cause the other 3 piercings I got after were all done by the man himself. Anytime anyone I know contemplates getting a piercing I send them to Kelly. I will leave the other shop nameless as they don't need the advertising lol. Thanks for the great work not sure if there's anything else I would pierce now. read more

I'm giving 3 stars because they know what they're talking about. However, I am not pleased with the work that was done on me. I got 4 tattoos from Loger and 2 of which, do not sit well with me. They were Roman numerals and I can't begin to describe my frustration after it was finished. Some letters were bolder than others, the mistakes that were made could've easily been avoided had he asked me for reassurance of what I wanted. It's as if he didn't listen to anything I said. I wanted them to be equally separated between each set of numbers, he couldn't even correctly execute that. Of course I voiced my concern as he was doing this, were they ignored? Yeah, basically he'd say okay and then continue to f*ck my sh*t up. I'm getting laser removal or a cover up tattoo. The last thing I'd want to do is come back to this place for smaller detailed tattoos. Thanks anyway. read more

I decided to suck it up and get my nose pierced professionally. The staff took the time to engage in conversation with me, they answered any questions I had, and they were there to hold my hand when I had my nostril piercing and then when I returned a few days later to get the hole reopened because I somehow pulled the jewelry out when I was sleeping. I would not go anywhere else, I really liked it there. It's clean, professional, and they all know what they're doing. And I even got a discounted price because it was my birthday! I thought this place would be good because of the reviews. This was my first piercing and I wanted the standard lobe piercing (pretty simple/easy.) I am so mad. One ear pierce was lob sided when looking straight at me. I was also allergic to the metal of the earring pierced into me. So it got infected and inflamed. Been all over the world and have have many piercing experiences great, good and not so good. This place is at the top of my go-to body piercing and modification establishments. They're APP Certified, very educated in the filed of body piercing and have thee largest selection of High Grade Jewelry I've ever seen. Puncture in LA in the 90's was my preferred spot and were way ahead of their time, for the times but WestCoast has surpassed them and most others by far. The Studio was immaculate, well organized and knew their stuff, piercing, PK (product knowledge) and aftercare. It's great to see the industry heading in such a positive direction. Hopefully bad piercing experiences and cheap product can become a thing of the past with pros like Kelly and Jewels. I made a custom order for a below the belt piece from Anatometal and it was even better seeing it in person. I'd put this product up against ANY Jeweler. I can't wait to see the new shop!! read more

I am astonished at the positive reviews this place has. A year ago, I had both Daith' pierced by Jewels, who was dismissive to my mom and I upon arrival. During our wait we observed a young woman who had her piercing placed upside down and had to have it redone. Great start. Being inexperienced we stayed on. You will not convince me otherwise - we were taken advantage of for our naivete and were offered extremely expensive jewellery options. Of course they were beautiful and eye catching. When we inquired about cost we were given vague guesstimates and never, never a confirmed total. Afterwards, they shamelessly gave me a total of over $400. For two piercings. Upon visiting a different piercer, his first comment was "That's how WestCoast operates. You got robbed". Within a few weeks, the jewellery was discoloured and my piercings never healed. I had to take them out. I ended up with a staph infection, which isn't certain came from them, but likely. I cannot steer you far enough away. read more

I love this place. My girlfriend, sister, and i have been here a few times and we always leave satisfied. The first trip we purchased a nose ring and they generously inserted it for free. The next time they had to taper the nose piercing open after it closing in after a few days. The owner Kelly is an awesome dude: super knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. The manager is really nice and is great at making you feel comfortable. I have yet to get pierced and tattooed here but this is the place to get it. read more

I came in to look over their tattoo artist's portfolio because I have some art I want touched up. They keep all the photos on a tablet in the corner, and in the time I was browsing (maybe 15-20 minutes) I had 3 different people ask me if I'd been helped yet. Loger, their artist had a few dozen photos uploaded, but only 2 jumped out at me. I stuck around to ask about the 2nd artist (they had 2 working but only one on the tablet) and some jewelry caught my eye. Kelly & Jewels were really knowledgeable and friendly, so we wound up checking with a taper if an older piercing of mine was open and it was. Jewels spent a lot of time helping me find the perfect jewelry and I'm definitely happy with it. It was a little more expensive than I expected, but worth it! I thought about getting a tattoo for so many years but over and over again I talked myself out of it.....then I went to Westcoast for my consultation! Still unsure I listen to their artist! I am happy to say I was easily convinced once meeting him! I now have a tattoo that represents everything that important to me! I stare at the artwork on my arm all day long and get lots of compliments! I was very satisfied with the pricing as welll! When I tell others what I paid they are blown away! I had a very bad experience at the Whalley location. The receptionist and the piercer were very rude and unprofessional. They were whispering to each other five feet from me and acted as if i was not in their presence. The receptionist was not interested in fully explaining the types of jewelry and the differences between them. The piercer neglected to even acknowledge our presence in the shop. I went there to get my belly button pierced and I was amazed at how clean everything was. Everyone who worked there was very nice and took me in even though I didn't have an appointment. I later learned that they were both 100% qualified professionals. I assumed before that almost every piercer in a piercing shop was a trained professional. This really makes me want to come back. My belly button piercing looks great and I had no problem healing it. They were also very knowledgeable about how to care for it and went over all the safety and healing instructions with me (something that a lot of piercing places no longer do). I would also like to add that I really like the fact that they continue to go to conferences hosted by The Association of Professional Piercers. Overall a very nice place to go and get a piercing. I plan on going there again to get my nose pierced. Highly recommend. read more
