I would strongly discourage anyone from choosing Western Dental Kids. We had a scheduled 10:00 AM appointment for a routine braces checkup, yet we weren't called back until 10:55 AM. Even after being called back, we waited another 45 minutes before my child actually received treatment. Waiting nearly two hours for a routine appointment is completely unacceptable. This office clearly prioritizes overbooking patients over providing quality care and respecting families' time. The staff members were friendly and professional, but they are working within a system that is poorly managed and more focused on maximizing appointments than delivering efficient, timely service. Parents arrange their schedules around these appointments, often taking time off work or pulling children out of school. Keeping families waiting for nearly two hours with no regard for their time demonstrates a lack of respect for patients. If you're looking for an orthodontic office that values punctuality, quality care, and customer service, I recommend looking elsewhere. Inconsiderate and Unprofessional Waste of Time This review is for the Carson location, not Western Dental Kids: I usually don't leave reviews, but this location has put me through the ringer for the past 5 months. My original appointment was April 6th for a cracked tooth. After the initial consultation, I was given another appointment to fix the cracked tooth. My next appointment is 2 weeks later and after some cleaning and prep of the area, I was given a temporary crown. I was then given another appointment for the permanent crown 2 weeks later. I scheduled off work so that I could attend the appointment (I'm a teacher, so finding coverage is always an issue). When I arrived at my scheduled time and checked in, the receptionist said that my appointment was for the following week and that there was an issue in the scheduling system. I provided my appointment card that I received at this location, as well as showed my text reminders and confirmation that I received from the office. The receptionist finally said my permanent crown hadn't arrived yet and scheduled me for yet another appointment. Two weeks later, I arrive at my appointment ready for this to finally be over. I had to leave work early to arrive on time, by the way. When the dentist removed my temporary crown that had been in for a month at this point, my tooth was very sensitive to cold. Now I needed another appointment for a root canal. For some odd reason, the dentist that does major work is only on site once a month (this is important for context). I arrive to my next appointment and when I checked in, the receptionist very rudely tells me that the dentist canceled for the day and that he tried to call me several times to let me know (I received no missed call or messages). My next appointment is three weeks later (remember, the dentist who does the major work is only on site once a month). I finally have my root canal done and I am sent home with an appointment to return two weeks later. I arrive for what I think is my final appointment only to be told that the permanent crown won't work and I would need a crown lengthening procedure. I received another appointment, a whole month later (remember, dentist is only on site once a month). Which leads me to today. My appointment is scheduled for 9 AM. I arrived on time, signed in and all that jazz. After waiting 45 minutes, I'm called to the back. The first dentist takes an impression of my tooth so they can make my permanent crown. I am then told that I am to sit in waiting area until the dentist is ready. I asked about the wait and I'm told it will be about an hour and a half. I asked if I could sit in the car and wait and I am reassured that I will receive a call. An hour and an half goes by and no call. I go inside the office to ask for updated wait times and I'm told that because I didn't answer my phone, I would have to reschedule for September 1st. I showed the receptionist that I have no missed calls or messages. She calls my phone and it goes straight to voicemail. I don't blame her for this because technology isn't flawless, but I did say we could both be right at the same time. She asked the dentist if he would still be willing to see me and he said yes. I was told to return at three. I've been waiting for 3 hours at this point. I returned at 2:50 PM for my 3 PM appointment. Two hours later and I am still in the waiting room and the waiting room is empty. I'm finally called to the back at 5:40 PM only to be offered to stay longer and wait for another patient to have a long and difficult procedure or reschedule for next month. After waiting for a combined total of 6 hours, I chose to reschedule. To be clear, the actual dentists are very friendly and not at fault. My issue is with the lack of consideration for other people's time. My time is important and I don't like to waste it. Going to the dentist should not be an all day affair. If this were the first time, I wouldn't be too upset, but this is a pattern. This will be my last service at this location. read more

Here the personal are so rude starting from the front person to the Dr I had the worst experience with my 3 yr old son all because the Dr did a horrible job. Please do not bring your kids here all they care it's money ! Kids are just the numbers there they don't really care. They don't even take their time with them. I feel horrible after I took him to a different dentist and seeing the difference of how they treat my son with so much kindness and patience so do yourself a favor do not go there look around different ones. Wait time is always ridiculously long for dental treatments. They always overbook and ask to reschedule appointments. My 5 year old came for a routine cleaning, dentist found a small cavity so I set up appointment to have a filling. Once I got to the filling appointment the dentist told me that the cavity wasn't big enough to fill. 6 months later I returned for another cleaning, a different dentist suggested that he would now need silver crowns. These dentist prefer for the problem to get bigger before they address it when it's small. Worst dentist office ever! Totally unprofessional office staff, the restrooms never have soap, and always have a funky smell like rotten eggs. 10 years ago it was a decent place to bring your children with affordable dental plans. This staff is AMAZING!! I bring my son who is 5 and my daughter who is 7 and she has autism. They are so incredibly PATIENT with her and I am so grateful for that. From the front desk especially Alma (what a gem) to the hygienist Rosa who made my daughter feel so comfortable in the x-ray chair, to Dr. Farah that did an incredible job explaining everything to my daughter... everyone is so wonderful here! I wanna write a review not for the clinic as a whole but for a specific staff member. My brother had his surgery appointment today and his ortho Dr. Lee was very nice and accomodating. But the girl who was assisting him. Im not really sure what her position is but this girl was so rude and disrespectful. Talking down on patient and family member. She seems like she's power tripping. I am also in the medical field and I was never or tried as much as possible to be professional and not be rude on clients. It greatly affects the service we provide. Even when my brother came out. He was telling me how the same female staff was giving him an attitude. Recently I had to pick my daughter up early due to tooth pain,I already had an previous appointment for the same day just at a later time. I called to see if they could take her early as a walk in. This was my first time here but this place is great and will definitely be our new spot. First off, I was able to schedule all three of my kids for back to back appointments so that was a huge time saver. When I got to the office though, we had a little trouble locating my insurance (I didn't have the card on me). But Alma and Jazmine were super patient and persistent until finally they were able to locate it. Even though that took some time and I was late to the appt, they still took us in and actually worked on my kids simultaneously. My 5 yr old daughter needs special treatment on her and inhave to admit, this place definitely not only the friendliest place but the care and attention the staff gives the little ones goes long ways. As a parent I understand especially now at days with Covid where places take proper protocols to stay and keep everyone safe but my daughter broke down in tears thinking I was gonna let her go in alone. Don't take your kids here. Words cannot describe how unprofessional this dental office has been since Western Dental took over. Very money hungry and commercialized. I should've known when they asked me to fill out online paperwork for my kids. I did so and then when I show up to the appointment they couldn't find it. I had to fill out the paperwork all over again and as soon as I was done it magically appeared in their system. Fast forward a week later. My daughter got braces put on a few weeks ago and was suppose to return to have more work done. They left me a voicemail the day before saying they pushed the appointment back and I haven't been able to get in contact with them since. We had to miss the appointment. They never answer the phone. I've called that raggedy customer service line a bunch of times just to get the run around.
