Dr B has taken care of me and my smile since 2016. I have referred countless family and friends to his practice and we all love him. My aunt in particular has a fear of dentists and Dr B makes her feel safe and comfortable every visit. The staff is friendly, professional, and kind. The office is gorgeous and the state of the art equipment they use makes X-rays and scans easy and comfortable. read more

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this office today. Two days ago, I called to schedule an appointment specifically for a chipped tooth. However, upon arrival, the receptionist informed me that I was booked for an extraction and replacement instead. When I explained that this was incorrect, she dismissed my concern and simply stated that the doctor would decide what I needed. Despite arriving on time, I waited nearly two hours past my scheduled appointment. Feeling completely unvalued, I eventually notified the staff that I was leaving. I have been a patient at this dentist offices for about five years, tolerating previous poor experiences solely due to the convenient location. It is clear they are now overbooking appointments to prioritize profit over patient care, and they no longer show basic concern for their clients' time or well-being. My appointment was at 11:30 and I got there at 11:15. I ended up sitting there for over 2 and a half hours for a cleaning. Just a cleaning. The whole time they kept taking other people back before me, people who got there after I did. I watched it happen over and over. After 2 and a half hours I finally said something and all they could offer was to just reschedule me. This is the second time this happened here. The first time I had to leave before I was even seen because the wait was so long. And now the next opening they gave me is 3 months out. 3 months. They clearly overbook and don't respect your time at all. Don't bother with this place. read more

This is sad. This is my 4th experience here, and I wanted to be fair before putting up a review. Appointment times mean nothing to them. They called me to move my appointment earlier, and I agreed to come in 30 minutes ahead of schedule. An hour before the new appointment time, I even called to ask if they were running on time because every previous appointment had already been 2 hours behind. The front desk told me, "Yes, we are on time." I arrived 15 minutes early, signed all the paperwork, and still ended up waiting until almost my original appointment time. Once I was finally brought back, the doctor cracked a joke, gave me Novocaine, said he'd be back, and disappeared. Forty minutes later, I was still sitting there numb with no doctor or staff in sight. At this point, it had been well over an hour without the doctor even starting the exam. If you have kink for waiting this is THE place for you. TL:DR - they get the job done but make a day out your appointment Longer review w/ my last appointment: I've had an implant done, took 4 hours. The staff and Dr.B is nice enough to his patients. But you can definitely tell he was multitasking multiple implants that day. I don't know if I would put this on him but getting an implant was the worst pain I've felt in my life and I've had a vasectomy. Other things done like crowns and cleanings, the wait has been a mixed bag in terms of wait time, but it can typically take an hour after my scheduled time My last appointment was for a crown that came out (2nd time happening). They told me they were no longer accepting my insurance but they get would give me a consultation and if anything extra was needed they would quote me, but if not they could just go ahead and put it back. So here's the last appointment: Appointment @ 11am Arrived @ 10:40am the place is PACKED. This is how you know you better just start running errands. 11:50am out of curiosity asked how much longer, she went "..so there's still a lot of people in front of you". Then I told her let's just cancel. However, on the day of my first appointment, I was contacted and informed that although my appointment was set for 11:00 AM, the office was running behind. I was told I could either come in and wait an unspecified amount of time or reschedule. Since they were unable to provide an estimated wait time, I chose to reschedule--only to be given another appointment two months later, which they stated was their earliest availability. Unfortunately, the same situation occurred again. On the day of my rescheduled appointment, I was contacted and told they would not be able to see me and that I would need to reschedule once more. This pattern of last-minute cancellations and lack of time management has been extremely frustrating, especially given the long wait times between appointments. Additionally, during my implant procedure, the provider assigned to me appeared to have no prior experience performing the procedure. She struggled significantly, and the implant repeatedly failed to stay in place. Eventually, she had to request assistance from another staff member, who then demonstrated the correct technique. This raised serious concerns about the level of training and supervision provided for such procedures. I've been a patient of Dr. Baratian's (or "Dr. B" as his patients affectionately call him) since July 2014, and I can honestly say he's the best dentist I've ever had (I'm in my mid-60s). This is actually my fourth review for his practice (on Yelp)- that's how impressed I've been over the years! Dr. B's practice has grown tremendously; he even moved to a larger office to accommodate more patients. Yet, he's still maintained that same warm, friendly approach that drew me to him in the first place. He is exceptionally skilled- I consider him more of a specialist than your average dentist. He's already successfully placed three implants in the back of my mouth, and I was back today to begin the process for four front implants. While I admit dental work makes me nervous, I completely trust Dr. B's expertise. What really sets Dr. B apart is how he handles the unexpected. During today's appointment, he encountered some unforeseen complications that required extra time and care. Rather than rushing through or putting a band-aid on it, he took all the time necessary to ensure everything was done right. Yes, it probably threw off his schedule for the day, but that's the kind of thorough, patient-focused care that makes him exceptional. I noticed one reviewer mentioned Dr. B running late and having to wait; --honestly, after today's experience, I completely understand how that could happen. When a dentist prioritizes doing the job right over staying on schedule, sometimes appointments run long. I'd much rather have a dentist who takes the extra time needed than one who rushes through important work to stay on time. I'd also like to compliment the entire staff at Modern Dental. They're incredibly well-trained and genuinely friendly--a surprisingly rare combination. I believe a practice's staff reflects its leadership, and Dr. B has built something special here. Everyone from the front desk to the dental assistants makes you feel welcomed and cared for. The office is always spotless, the communication is clear and honest, and the overall atmosphere puts you at ease (as much as anyone can be at ease at the dentist!). I can't recommend Modern Dental enough if you're looking for a new dental practice. The desk staff needs to be trained again. I've been at Modern Dental for 10 years, and the experience I just had was so disappointing. I recently changed employers, and before selecting my insurance I called to ask if they accepted the plan I was enrolling in. The stated that they accepted "any PPO". A blanket statement. I select my insurance based on this. The day before my appointment, I get a text saying that my insurance on file has changed. Which makes sense because, again, new employer. I send them a picture of my card, then I follow up with a call. On this call, they told me I'm good to come in. I get to my appointment on time, wait for a few minutes, then I'm called to the front desk to show my insurance card again. The staff member takes down my insurance, I ask to go wait in my car, she said they'll call me when they're ready. 45 minutes later, I'm still waiting so I text them to see if they're ready for me. I then get a call saying that they dont accept my insurance. Which is odd because, again, they accept "any PPO". When we get off the call, I get a text saying that I can still get my cleaning for $100. Just disorganized. read more

BEWARE!!!! I have been going to this dentist twice a year since 2023. My last cleaning appointment was over an hour past scheduled time,inconvenience no big deal. However, the oral hygienist was in such a rush that he didn't even floss my teeth in the end. Then the Dr comes in after to discuss my xrays & informs me that I'm in need of a cap on a tooth. I said I wasn't aware since when I come EVERY 6 months without fail. He looks at my chart & says since July of 2023. I said why is this the first time that I'm hearing this? You can't get a cap without approval from your insurance carrier which THEY submit with my permission. For someone who routinely gets a cleaning every 6 months why would I NOT get any work that needs to be performed? When asked he looked dumbfounded. The office experience is the worst I've ever had with any dental or medical office. They routinely schedule you with at least 10 other patients with the same Appointment time. The last time I was there, after waiting for 40 minutes, I asked when I would be seen. They said there were seven other patients in front of me. When I asked, why would you schedule us all at the same time? They said it's because of the time of year. I reminded them that every single time I've been here I've waited over an hour for a simple tooth cleaning and it's not about the time of year. Very pleased to report Modern Dental picked up EXACTLY where DNA Dental left off. A very seamless dental transition. Not one but two dentists examined. Very thorough xrays. I had extreme tooth pain. I came in to discover I needed a root canal and to replace a crown that I previously had from a different dentist. They did everything the same day. This last time, I had dental issues and the staff told me they called in the prescription to the pharmacy. I went to the pharmacy and I was told they didn't have anything ordered for me. I called this dental office back and had to leave a message as they were closed. There had been no follow up from this office whatsoever. The entrance to Dr.B's office is spectacular! My first time visiting everyone was so professional. They have a rhythm! So don't let the full (patients) waiting fool you. The longest you'll wait is MAYBE AT THE MOST 15 minutes. But after that it's full sailing. His attendants make you feel like you're the only patient in the room. I'm a little on the high maintenance side...my previous dentist caused me PTSD. Dr. B's and his staff are all understanding of this and treat me like a big ol' princess! I love it. Now DR. B? He's so gentle and doesn't make me feel ashamed of my fear. In fact he empathizes and I appreciate that! He's extremely gentle and patient!!! I'm getting implants and a couple of other things....at the end of it all--- imma look like a million bucks! Lastly, their billing process ---is top notch! They take care of everything. There's this one attendant ....i think she is the business manager but she goes over your visit and any billing or procedure questions that you may have. Right before they get started... ALWAYS LATE for appointments. Plan an hour after appointment. I cancelled my last appointment and left because it was taking so long. Tried again and same thing, waiting room is packed with people. My appointment was at 2:30 pm and they started with my X-rays at 4:05 pm almost two hours waiting. I specifically ask for Dr B and like always they send someone else. Another doctor comes and tells me I don't need a fill I need a root canal I asked for more options nothing was provided when last time I came I was told I needed to replace my fill because it was too old. All you can see they're in a rush you as a person sometimes have to request time off from work for them to tell you to schedule another appointment it's not about the money they charge for the root canal it's about the poor customer service they provide because all they want is for you to leave to see the next person. First, I want to emphasize that Dr. B is very kind and respectful, but I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated by their manager, Sayda. From the moment I was connected with her, Sayda was incredibly rude, dismissive, and downright unprofessional. Instead of listening to my concerns, she raised her voice (basically yelling over the phone), repeatedly interrupted me, and talked over me as if my concerns didn't matter at all. She had a condescending and rude tone the entire time, and rather than showing even the slightest professionalism or customer service skills, she insisted my concern wasn't valid and made me feel as if I was bothering her by even calling. For context, my concern was more than reasonable. I waited over three hours at their office just for a routine cleaning. When I finally saw the dentist, again, a very kind person, the cleaning itself was rushed and incomplete. It was so poorly done that just two days later, when I went to another dental office for a separate issue, their dentist looked inside my mouth and actually asked me: "Are you sure you got a cleaning two days ago?" They were shocked when I said yes. They then showed me, right in the mirror, multiple areas that should have been cleaned but were completely missed. The other office had to redo my cleaning on the spot because it was that insufficient. So not only did I waste three hours of my time at Modern Dental, but I also left with work that was so poorly done that another dental office could barely believe it had even been performed. And on top of that, when I respectfully called to voice my concern, Sayda treated me with hostility, disrespect, and absolutely no accountability.
