If I could give zero stars I would! They over book for one! I go to check in at 9am for my 930am appointment. There were probably around 10 people checking in. I guess there are other locations that have closed so everyone is flooding this location. No thanks! That right there is a red flag a lone. I have my daughter with me (why by the way is quiet and has her tablet) . They proceed to tell me that I need someone to watch her. I've never had an issue with her just sitting there being quiet watching her tablet! Any place that has an issue I have her with me, does not deserve my business. Terrible experience! If you have any other clinic options, go somewhere else! Stay away from this place. The customer service is awful, and they constantly waste your time. If you call, they just transfer you around and leave you on hold forever--they can't even answer the simplest question. I'm on an aligner treatment and they have made me lose 6 months because every time I show up for my appointment, they don't even have them ready! They don't even have the decency to call and warn me beforehand. They just let me drive 45 minutes there just to waste my time. I am completely fed up! The care team is extremely nice and helpful. However, the this office side of the business is extremely lost and confused. They changed my appointment.They have no record of my appointment yet.I get text messages and emails showing the appointment and then they talk to me.Like, i'm a crazy person that just made it up. Not being able to accept accountability or just say it was a mistake. It is extremely difficult to hear. And to have it blamed on me is even worse. It gave me high anxiety and a panic attack will not return after I receive my porcelain crowns. This review seems to be the only way I can get them to see what happened. And their mistake, and at least admit some accountability for the issue. An apology is definitely in order and should be done, considering this mistake. And I spent over an hour trying to fix it by phone and through 4 different people. I don't understand how their entire patient documentation system. It is not operating or functioning properly. My anxiety got so high. I was having a panic attack before I decided to call it quits since they kept telling me I was wrong. The first phone call was 30 minutes long and all I wanted to do was simply schedule an Invisalign checkup appointment since perfect teeth closed their doors permanently in Scottsdale and referred me to them. I've had it with the terrible service at this Western Dental location. I had an appointment for my son's braces on May 22 at 2:15 PM, but when we arrived, they claimed he wasn't in the system. This isn't the first time this has happened their appointment line constantly messes up the scheduling. To make matters worse, when I called customer service, they confirmed a 3:15 PM appointment. But the receptionist at the office rudely said she didn't care what they said and that he wouldn't be seen until 4:30 PM. No empathy, no accountability just young, unprofessional staff with no customer service skills. There was no manager on-site, and the front desk staff were extremely rude and dismissive. This is the second time this has happened, and I'm done. I'm transferring to another office and will not recommend this location to anyone. Front desk and manager are extremely rude and not willing to help with anything for some reason they knew that my insurance was not accepted, but didn't tell me before my appointment and I came all the way over there from the other side of town when I try to ask the manager for help, she told me it wasn't her problem and just walked off With an attitude. Went there for a painful tooth. After X-rays found out that my molar was cracked in half. THEY REFUSED TO TREAT ME. Had to go to another dental office 2 days later (the soonest I could get in for this issue) to get proper treatment. Filed a complaint with AZ Dental Board against their office. Come to find out that the dentist who failed to treat me had 3 previous complaints and was ordered to take additional classes. Why is she still allowed to practice? This goes to show the skill and standards of the staff they employ here. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! read more

I went to my first appointment and waited an hour and three minutes, I had to cancel because I didn't have another hour available to actually have my appointment. The following week I go in and they did not Covid screen me, they use the same form from the previous week. I was in advise to get a deep cleaning however I was not able to pay the extra cost, they refused my standard cleaning that my insurance will cover. I can't imagine why it was better for me to have nothing than a standard cleaning when I couldn't afford what they recommended. I've been going to this location for years and this will be the last time I go there. When they wrote me up an estimate they also added a $319 previous balance that I do not owe, they said they did that to add the costs of what they were recommending this trickery on the invoice seems unethical. read more

Please don't waste your time with these unprofessional so-called dentist. My initial appointment took about two hours and the dr told me I needed a crown and scheduled me an appointment to come back. I came back to get the crown procedure the first time and they told me that one of their assistants called out and it would be hours before I could get the work done so I politely said OK and made another appointment. I went in for my third appointment to get the crown procedure and sat in the waiting room for an hour before they called me back and ended up telling me I needed a root canal and a crown. So the first doctor told me I needed a crown and the second doctor told me I would need a root canal and a crown and would need to schedule a FOURTH APPOINTMENT. They told me they would call me to get the root canal and crown scheduled and never did. What a waste of time read more

When I'm on call with the call center I get these ghost appointments where nobody knows that I have one but I get a text saying I missed the appointment and it happened again today. DO NOT GO TO WESTERN DENTAL! They are unethical, unscrupulous and thieves. I went into there office for an exam. I went to the front desk to order 1 tube of gel for my teeth. The person walk to the side back wall where the dentist was sitting. I hear the dentist tell him to give me some free so I left with what I remember to be 3 I did pay for the one I requested. I then get a past due bill for 271.00. First they are only 25.00 each, let's do the math 3 tubes at 25.00 each is 75.00 and I already paid 25.00 so tell me where is the rest of that 271.00 coming from. I called collections the girl was rude did not listen and then told me to call the office. I have been trying call the office for a month and in a month they answered the phone once! And that person was rude to me. I call corporate to file a complaint she did not even listen to me and transferred me to the customer service. Multiple customer service agents refused to let me talk to a supervisor. I called today repeatedly for a hour straight and they picked up did not say a word and hung up. Then someone finally answered and they said I will not get a call for one week. I called collections and got a supervisor and he had no compassion. I would never talk to my clients the way they all have talked to me. I had one agent laugh at me. None of them would tell me how to file an executive complaint. When I entered today no one greeted me they just stared at me. Then help the person that came in after me. It took them 15 minutes after my apt for them to even get me from the lobby. I scheduled this appointment six months prior. In March I called when I got my new insurance to ensure they still accepted it. Their call center transferred me directly the office and I provided them the updates and she assured me that it was still covered. Yesterday when they called to remind me about my apt I brought up my insurance to ensure X-ray and cleaning will be covered they said yes. I was in this place for an hour and half today only got my X-rays completed because they were running my insurance to see how much my cleaning would be. The assistant said Anna the lady that normally does this wasn't in today. So it's taking longer than usual to see what my coverage was. This should have been taking care of prior to my apt like they assured me when I talked to them in March and yesterday. This was a complete waste of my time. I will never come back here read more

I also recently got ALL 4 WISDOM TEETH OUT with stitches, plus 2 extra ones , they were supposed to send in my medication the day of my wisdom teeth removal so it was ready within 1-2 hours , they didn't send my medication in till 2 days later , I was in severe pain , I couldn't sleep , and every-time I tried to call them they repeatedly said they were gonna send the medication in , and never did , my mother had to go in person to even get the prescription. 0/10. I went to initial visit today saw the hydgenist then Dr. H whom I think was the only reason why I decided to not go elsewhere since I waited over an hour to get x-rayed , (then I went on yelp and saw the horrible reviews that were quite accurate from my experience ) the office manager and I had exchanged the reason I had to leave to get my final assessment and price on phone with her following through with a phone call for future appointments. It's now past 6 pm on the third of July 2024 and no phone call I spoke with their business partners Bright at 530 pm and of course no answer THEY CLOSE AT 6!! ANYWAYS the place should be going through some positive dental changes and FACTS : they should really consider the first people the customer greets . They should know that place is a business and there inability to be accountable and stable (mentally) is offensive and irritable especially to be there for one of the most painful things that hurt us all when in pain.... Set my husband up for an appointment for a tooth extraction. He asked the person setting the appointment for an estimate as to how much it would cost. The person on the other end of the line (come to find out their appointments are set at a Call Center located in in the Dominican Republic) told him that it was free with our insurance. He went in today and at the office was told it was $105 for the copay and then another $204 for the rest of the work. The tooth needed to come out so $309 later on a procedure we were told would not cost anything with the insurance here we are. He is on the line now with the call center but in all honesty this is ridiculous. It seems like no one communicates. On top of that the staff gave him the run around as to what was ACTUALLY free. His appointment was at 10 a.m. and 2 hours later he was home. The office is less than 5 minutes from our house. I think that Western Dental needs to train their call center people to actually answer the customers questions because you cannot tell a customer their service is free and covered by insurance and then have them go to the office and find out it's not. Thankfully I have a HSA otherwise there would be no way we could have paid for this out of our household funds. read more

Decent service. Until they get their money. Constant missed appts, issues when getting treatment. Half assed treatment. More focus on upgrades and upsells instead of treating what you come in for. Expects you to just have 20k laying around. Fool, if I had 20k why would I goto Western Dental? Been a year since my surgery, which they half assed. Charged me for full anesthetic and only did half... had to go in for several adjustments and their only concern is upselling you on more stuff when you can barely afford what you are paying for. NO ONE SHOULD EVER HAVE TO USE DENTAL INSTRUMENTS ON THEMSELVES!!! WORST experience I have ever lived through. I nervously went in for a wisdom tooth to be removed but they insisted that they remove all four, made my appointment and was calm about the whole situation. Everything was going fine until they started injecting me with local anesthetics, they injected me about 16 times 2 on each side of my impacted teeth which was four of them, no warning given as the dentist and assistant ignored me they just sat me down and started with their mouth stabbing, they were not gentle at all and I was yelping in pain at each shot. My review is not about the horrible local anestethic part of the experience but it was about how they just left me there, the doctor and assistant walked away from the room as I sat there helplessly with saliva all over my mouth just accumulating in the back of my throat, my mouth was numb and I could not breathe, I was panicking I could hear the assistant gossiping as I was nearly choking, heart accelerated, I even said a prayer, tears just strolled down my face because of how scared I was I started breathing through my nose because I was so swollen everywhere but even though it was hard to breathe, I was tempted to start looking for the suction device but I was in shock, they should have stayed in the room to monitor me and assist me instead of walking away without properly making sure that my mouth was free of saliva. Minutes which seemed like hours the Dentist came back and finally used that suction on my mouth and I was relieved but then he announced that they were short handed for the day so the assistant had to help another patient therefore I had to hold my own suction while he performed the surgery. I HAD TO HOLD MY OWN SUCTION DEVICE WHILE HE TOOK ALL FOUR OF MY WISDOM TEETH OUT! I was numb first of all I was sticking the device all over my front teeth, side of my cheek I didn't know what was going on I was just praying that I didn't choke on my own saliva. It was finally over and I could not talk, open my mouth, spit, nothing I was numb therefore I could not complain on the spot. I went home and was numb for about 6 more hours, I really wish they would have just put me to sleep and taken care of me, or atleast had the assisntant nearby doing her actual duty to make me feel safe.NO ONE SHOULD EVER HAVE TO USE DENTAL INSTRUMENTS ON THEMSELVES!!! read more

This is the BEST dentist office, hands down. Everyone from Dr. Pirolli, dental techs Maria Y. and Priscilla, to Shelby at the front desk are AMAZING. They are very caring and comforting. I had a root canal, a hard to do extraction, and 3 crowns done in the last several months here. During each procedure, the doctor and dental tech's were always asking how I was doing during, and after the procedures, making sure I was ok the whole time. I usually shake very badly due to nervousness when any dental work is done. I was made to feel so at ease, that by the the second visit, I did not shake at all for the rest of my procedures . not good at all I went in over a month ago cause of pain and When I get to the dentist they did X-rays and said they don't take my insurance and that everything I need will cost me about 15,000 dollars once I said I wasn't going to get the 15,000 teeth they didn't send my prescription like they were supposed to I went to the pharmacy I allowed 3 hrs pharmacy had nothing for me .I went back to the dental office and asked the front girl why didn't she send my prescription she said she was busy but no one was sitting in the waiting area when I got there I told her to call it in and I would leave once she called in the prescription , I got approved by my insurance for work to be done I called the dental office they said they would call me back no one called me back a month goes by my tooth start hurting me again so I made an appt to go to the dental office no one looked at my tooth or anything the doctor said he would prescribe me medication to take care of the pain and infection so the girl on the front pretend like she called my prescription in and the pharmacy said it was never called in so I go to the office today to ask why haven't they sent it they called police on me for no reason police said they refuse service to me and I have no idea as to why ! This is a horrible place and them girls up front discriminated because I don't even know them why else would they not put my prescription in and then why would they act like they called in my prescription and lie this way ! Recently, I had an unsatisfactory transaction with Western Dental in Phoenix on Thunderbird Road. After dental x-rays and a check up, I was told that I would be needing dentures. I decided to go ahead with the process after being told that they took my insurance. They gave me all of the paperwork that showed what my payments would be and I left a 10% down payment. I was also told (after the services were rendered for the initial check up and mold of my teeth were taken) that I should still call my insurance to be sure. This was on a Saturday. On Monday, I called my insurance and discovered that they are not taken at Western Dental. I immediately called Western Dental to inform them. After haggling with the manager for 20 minutes she insured me she would find out from her superior if I can get a refund for my down payment. After waiting all day, the manager called me back after 5 p.m. and told me that yes, I would receive a refund minus $39.99 for the x-rays. After waiting several weeks to see the credit on my credit card, it never showed up. Trying to contact the manager after this was incredibly difficult. Calling 3 times in the same day on more than one occasion over a period of several weeks and each time a different excuse as to why she can not take my call and leaving a message for her to call me back. She never did call me back and I have not seen the credit yet. My credit card company will not let me pursue a merchant dispute without proof of cancellation which I am having trouble getting from the dental office. read more

Do NOT go here. I warned you. I too would give it less then one star. The representatives are rude and not helpful at all. I feel they lack education an knowledge about teeth. The dentist are not gentle and don't try to be nice to the patients. They are there just to do the job. I don't feel like they care about the patients at all. If you go here they will make nearly impossible for you to make an appointment. They play hard to get and it is very difficult to get help on the phone. Even when you have an appointment they will make you wait for an hour before they actually touch your teeth. I have gone more than time and confirmed that, that is just how they operate. The only nice thing about this dental chain is the payment plan they offer. However, I rather go elsewhere. I am currently looking for a different dentist with payment plans. read more
