I've been a patron of Petco since the late 80s in WA state. I have been coming to the Rapid City Petco for approximately 8 years. In the 8 years I have had MAYBE 1-2 less than great experiences out of the dozens of visits each year. The staff always goes out of their way to help me with my purchases and answer questions I may have. I have found the grooming staff to be outstanding. My dogs always look great after a grooming appointment with Kylee or Tori. I have had great experiences with several others when having my dogs brushed out. They are ALWAYS kind to my dogs, treating them like they were their own children! They are patient and professional. I feel extremely fortunate to have found these groomers and I hate to think of the day when they might move on. During the beginning of COVID, when stores were trying to figure out how they were going to continue services, things got hectic, but Kylee remained calm and kind, doing her best to please everyone. There are several other employees I'd like to call out for their exceptional customer service and friendly disposition. Several cashiers, Kaitlin is one, and the other two I do not know their names but they are always cheerful and polite. They have even given me discounts that I was not aware of. In my opinion, there are some wonderful people who work at this Petco, making it one store my dogs and I both love to visit! Thanks for giving it your best, it shows!

The the order was shipped from our hometown in western SD to Osseo, Mn then to Denver then back to our hometown. (Very stupid Shipping Logistics) Unfortunately we were away for a few months and had a forwarding on our mail. The carton was then forwarded to where we are staying and ended up costing us an extra $30 in Shipping Fees. Very unhappy with their autoship practice. Had they sent an email to give me a heads up (like all other companies, where we have autoship, do) that this was going to be sent out, I would have adjust the order and changed the delivery address. But because of their lack of customer service I got stung. So much for free shipping. This won't happen again as I will no longer do business with PetSmart, who utilizes deceptive business practices.

When I ordered my trap 11 weeks ago I was told it would take 10 weeks. Today online it says 16 weeks. Called to see what was going on with my order and was told by 2 very rude men that it would actually take 20. 20 WEEKS. That is 100% dishonest!!! Additionally, this is all because they keep lying to customers. THEN they cancelled my order rather than complete it. This is all because they decided to take on a contract and neglect all client orders. I love all the red flags associated with this company that they're soon going to be spiraling downwards. Don't say this very often about smaller businesses, but I really can't wait for them to fail.

This past year they had some growing pains and should not have handled Rachel's order that way, however that being said I would have taken it up with the manager and ask for some changes to be made when providing a lead time and following up with customers when that time won't be met as a well as a compensation for her large inconvenience. These traps are by far the most coveted in the industry for their workmanship and ease of use.
