Needless to say, Gus was covered in dirt and grime. Thankfully, I found Tails 'n Training when looking for a pet wash station. From the moment I called to reserve a time until I walked out with a squeaky clean dog, they were the most friendly and offered everything you needed and more! They have shampoos to meet your needs, rubber wash brushed, drying station and grooming brushes. Top this off with the softest and thickest towels, this place has everyone beat!!

This clinic is also the only time I've ever seen one of my cats in deep distress. They were trying to administer an injection, and my cat was screaming and crying like I've never heard before. They wrapped him in a blanket, and I left feeling like I was being blamed for his discomfort. Since then, I have taken my cats to Noah's Ark in Rapid City, where they treat your pets like family. Both of my cats have fully recovered from their gingivitis without any extractions, and my cat has never reacted like that at another veterinary clinic. I'm also a college student, and when I asked about financing options, I did not feel like my concerns were well received. Noah's Ark helped us get set up with CareCredit. My experience left me feeling like this clinic was more focused on recommending expensive treatment than exploring less invasive options. Please take your pets somewhere else so they can get the care they deserve. If your pet is recommended for extensive dental work, I strongly encourage getting a second opinion before making a decision.

Dr Ireland saw Zuni, took some labs & came back with a reasonable diagnosis. She eliminated Giardia & bacteria issues & started her on Metronidazole, probiotics & an ID diet. After a few days of this protocol, Zuni is doing much better. Dr Ireland was very instructive, patient, and thorough. I will follow up with my vet when I reach my home, but appreciate Dr Ireland immensely with her diagnosis & help. I would recommend this practice, as staff & vet were kind & professional. Practice was extremely clean & organized.

We choose the safety of our dog over the convenience of having a mobile groomer…read more Megan did a great job grooming our Pyrenese, however about 2 days later I noticed she would not stop licking and going after the area beneath her tail. Upon inspection, I noticed it was an open wound that was now infected. Megan had sheared too close to her skin, hurt our dog and did not inform me upon pick up. We took our dog to the vet, and after a round of antibiotics + putting a cone on my dog + 10 days later, the wound finally healed. As I told Megan via text message, my husband and I would've been more understanding had she informed us of the accident - mostly bc it would've given us more time to try and prevent the infection, but Megan did not say a word. That is why we cancelled all future appts with her and we personally would not recommend her as a groomer. We are realist and understand these things happen sometimes, but if the groomer does not have solid experience grooming larger breeds, they should also be up front about that. It takes a skilled groomer to groom our specific breed of dog safely. RESPONSE TO MEGAN: what you are failing to see is that my animal is your responsibility while under your care. As 'an experienced groomer' this shouldn't be something I need to clarify for you. Therefore, if my dog gets hurt in any way, shape, or form, while under your care, regardless of if you notice or not, it is YOUR responsibility. Your lack of taking responsibility is concerning. Stating you didn't notice and proving how neglectful of a groomer you are is also very concerning. We are very happy with our decision to take our business elsewhere. We urge others to please beware and check your animals thoroughly after you leave them with her.
