I pressed the ring bell from the weight scale. She waved her hand telling me came over to the window and said don't want to sell the concrete recycle road base for me because last time she was angry with me some reason for the my truck license plate did not recognize. I asked her why every time I come here to buy or dump the materials you're always give me in trouble??? I won a tech company and every 4-5 years we have to upgrade out equipment. I have used R2 eCycle…read moreseveral times but was extremely disappointed this go-round. We brought in over 500 lbs. of printers, tablets, laptops etc. which at .50 cents a lb,, was a hefty bill. We believe in doing what is best for the planet and didn't want this stuff to end up in a landfill. What ended up happening was about 2 months later, I get a call from a local business that bought tablets off Facebook Marketplace that still had all of our company software installed as well as our inventory labels on the outside of the tablets. While the site says they will "refurbish" what they can, I was astounded that nothing was factory reset or at the very least, they didn't even remove our company labels from the equipment before turning around and selling them. Our tech team walked this poor buyer through factory resetting them and they removed the property/inventory labels. Basic refurbishment should include factory reset and label removal or the website should specifically say they will re-sell (not refurbish) "recycled" equipment as-is, so we could have taken the proper measures before bringing the equipment in.

I was a bit confused about where to enter as there is not a clear sign, but you want to turn into the large driveway just north of the brick and metal warehouse with the DENVER METAL RECYCLING sign. Stay to the right as you go up the driveway and park as close to the second large warehouse entrance as possible. If all of the spaces are occupied, follow the Exit sign around the far edge of the yard and you'll find additional parking against the fence. Once you've parked, grab one of the various carts and load up your materials. Get in the line by that second warehouse entrance. You'll come to a gentleman operating a floor scale. He'll check your ID, weigh the items, and give you a receipt. You then walk back to the first warehouse entrance and go in the small door where you'll find the cashier. You give her your receipt and she gives you any change that's due, then directs you to the ATM in the corner of the office where you scan your receipt and receive your cash. This is a busy operation, but all of the staffers were friendly, efficient, and helpful. We grabbed a cart, loaded up our items, had a short wait in line for the scale, weighed in and got our receipt, walked to the cashier, and soon had a very reasonable amount of cash. I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was a very pleasant and professional experience. Just watch out for forklifts!

I got my receipt and they showed that the three residential lightweight plastic weighed 130 pounds. If they weighed a quarter of that I would be shocked.

Sometimes our recycling bins get too full and so we can go drop them off at the Cherry Creek recycling drop off in their bins. For this particular visit, however we had tree shrubs that we needed to get rid of. We pulled up and the gentleman at the front directed us to drop off our tree shrubs in a particular area and then we drove off. It was quick and easy.
