BE CAREFUL. THE FIVE STARS ARE PROVIDED BY FRIENDS AND FAMILY. THIS IS THE WORST MEDICAL OFFICE RUN BY THE ASSISTANTS EVER. MY DOCTOR'S OFFICE SENT ME A LETTER DISASSOCIATING THEMSELVES FROM THIS OFFICE. The worst medical experience! This office has demonstrated a lack of patient care, negligence in following up and requesting something as critical as an MRI, zero accountability for accuracy. Instead, he has his Physician's Assistant Elaine Chen handling the diagnosis and prescription and she is inexperienced, condescending, rude and not interested in your well being. DON'T LET HER DIAGNOSE YOU! She gives you off the cuff prescriptions without having a clue what she is doing or your diagnosis. She spends the entire time arguing with you trying to sell you more and more sleep studies. His staff consistently is rude and condescending. I bend over backwards to be nice and they are committed to being jerks. They run things In the office while he is away and they do whatever they want. The audacity and the incompetence is staggering. I am urging anyone who has trouble with this doctor to file a Medical Board of California complaint against him...the more they get the more likely it will be that they act. You can file online at mbc.ca.gov. And Giselle Garcia, his incompetent "assistant manager" needs to take customer service courses and learn to read what patients actually write. You can also check his ProPublica record for how much money he receives from the pharmaceutical and device industry (113 payments in 2018) and where he falls on the medicare treatment tracker. He's in the top 10% of the latter. It's not even the doctor that's the issue but rather the INCOMPETENT STAFF. They are unprofessional and mediocre at best. They perform at a bare minimum level. Expect your prior authorizations to either be late, missing or non-existent (meaning they actually don't even do it). Expect cancellations on the same day when they could have notified the doctor will not be in a few days prior. Expect the receptionist to be rude. Expect to do their job for them. ALSO, EXPECT THEM TO SEND YOU AN EMAIL NOTIFYING YOU THAT THEY WILL NO LONGER BE PROVIDING SERVICES TO YOU OR YOUR FAMILY MEMBER AFTER WRITING A BAD YELP REVIEW. First: his staff runs that place like welfare office. They have no manners no respect when they speak to people. Every time you call you get put on hold for 20 minutes. They're extremely unprofessional. Every time I have had an appointment in the past, I was early, and had to wait OVER AN HOUR. read more

The doctor is professional, however, his staff made me feel unhappy. I left my medical CD record there on accident and called them asking them if they could hold it for me. The staff wouldn't check the appointment room to see if I Ieft my records behind near the computer. The woman who answered the phone said and I quote, "We don't make mistakes, I don't have to check for your medical CD. It's definitely not here, we would never let you leave it behind." I tried to coax her for over five minutes to check to see if I left my record behind. She acted like it would be a waste of time to get out of her chair and look in the appointment room down the hall. She didn't check for me. It was expensive and time consuming for me to go get a new record. Ironically, they never sent me the results of an expensive test that I took at their office. They seem to keep all the records without sharing the information with the patient. The staff member acted too comfortable with their office's perceived 'perfection'. It is not a waste of time to help me. They seem better at helping and listening to the doctor then at listening and helping patients there. read more

WORST EVER OFFICE. Not Dr. Faisal. It's the STAFF . They pushed Back our appointment 3 times already. First, because of negligence: forgetting to get authorization from insurance for ct scan. Second: they called me on the day of the appointment to tell me that Dr Faisal was in Canada (how professional) Third: a very good excuse, calling me day before of the appointment that "due to THE CURRENT SITUATION OF THE COVID-19". WHAT AN EXCUSE. After waiting 8 months for the follow-up appointment. Aside from this office does not have live customer service to answer the phone. It's always voicemail that they will call you back which they don't. I JUST HOPE DR. FAISAL IS AWARE OF WHAT HIS STAFF IS DOING. But you know what's funny, they are very nice when they are covering-up something. They will answer the phone right away and give you all the convenience. My husband and I don't normally write reviews, but we just wanted to give a shout out to Dr. Faisal and his amazing staff. My husband has been a patient of Dr. Faisal for over four years. We are so impressed with his kind, caring, calm, and patient demeanor, his vast knowledge and experience, his insight and professionalism! He is an incredibly skilled neurologist who instills great confidence and gives us peace of mind. We have found his staff to be equally professional, kind, caring and patient. They are delightful to communicate with, whether over the phone, which has been the case during the pandemic, or in person. They are welcoming, informative, and helpful. I recently had an experience with Western Neurological Associates that I feel needs to be shared. After patiently waiting for three months for my appointment, and ensuring my PCP sent an authorization, I was taken aback when the clinic informed me just three days prior that my authorization had expired. I was never provided with the details or a copy of this authorization, so I was unaware of its expiry date. When I expressed my concerns about this last-minute notification, I was told that reminding patients isn't their responsibility. I asked for a priority rescheduling given the circumstances, but was told I'd have to wait another three months. It's disappointing to see a healthcare facility prioritize paperwork over patient care. If timely medical attention is crucial for you, I would advise considering other options. read more

I have been going to Dr Faisal for about 10 years for Migraines. It's a lifelong pain in the ass condition that changes as I age. Dr Faisal is the first neurologist that i have seen that has the wherewithal to deal with them. He is always ready to try new things but also knows when to stick with treatments that are working. One of Dr Faisal's best attributes is that he is on top of the newest and upcoming treatments. He knows what's worth trying and what we should wait and see on. Dr Faisal's support staff is great too! They are on top of it, available, and pleasant to deal with. If it's scheduling, dealing with prescription refills, or insurance issues it's never an issue with the "office." Horrible service!! aside that girls in the reception are nice and courteous but the wait time is horrible!i understand dr is doing procedures and has many patients but to the point of making patients wait over 2-3hrs is ridiculously insane. if they know procedures take a while why book so many patients to the point they wait a long time? They have to understand some of these patients are disabled or they get transportation from others. they need to work a little more on on schedule. they can be a good office but one simple negative reason can screw the whole office up... If you need a neurologist in the Los Angeles area, I highly recommend Dr. Fawaz Faisal. I had a great experience as a new patient to the office. He has amazing bedside manners and was very insightful. You can tell he cares and is sincere about his work. I especially appreciated the doctor's ability to explain my medical condition in away that I could understand and take the time to answer all questions and show me what my scans meant. The office is clean and in a nice area. And I was able to get an appointment right away. I look forward to working with this physician for follow up on my care. read more

Dr. Faisal is an AMAZING Doctor. I can't say enough about him. He is very caring and very ethical and highly professional . He cares about his patients a lot and care for them one by one as an individual and not just as a number. Dr Faisal tries to address all patients' remarks about the staff and appointments and I write out of personal experience. They moved to a new wonderful office and working hard to provide a high quality service. I have been going to Dr. Faisal for over ten years. I had been living in another state and previously going to a neurologist there. Dr. Faisal was very caring and I felt very comfortable about going to see him. He and his staff over the years have been very accommodating to special needs that I required in regards to medications and insurance issues. He spends time talking with me and listening to my concerns. He has been able to help me with my migraines which became exacerbated due to environmental issues. I highly recommend him. read more

Dr. Faisal and his staff are amazing. He has been helping my family since we moved to Burbank in 2006. He sticks with an issue until he has an answer, he chases down every avenue until he finds a fix or treatment or solution that works. I like that his office has transitioned to Telemedicine during the current Pandemic. His staff called me ahead of the appointment and gathered all the necessary info. I'm not sure anyone can say that they actually enjoyed having to see a neurologist, but my visit with Dr. Fawaz is probably the closest you can get. I've had ongoing issues with terrible headaches and my general practitioner referred me to Dr. Fawaz. Very knowledgeable, obviously cares about his patients, and takes the time to explain things clearly in a way that didn't feel like he was talking down to me or was hard to understand. Scheduling is quick and hassle-free, without unnecessary bureaucracy, and the staff is polite and always ready to help. I am taking a friend to see Dr. Faisal and got off to a rocky start with scheduling in the front office but continuing on with visits I see that the doctor is a caring doctor with the patients best interest at heart and offers tests to determine the patients right course of treatment, and the patient is now making progress.
