We had major issue with Amerigas - bakerfield that we ended up cancelling our account and switched to Western Propane. Fantastic customer service at Western - Lebac. Our tank was empty (which heats our house, stove and water heater) -- Amerigas failed to fill it and after 3 days could not get them to come out to fill it. We are located in an area that winters are cold and they could care less that we had no heat. Western schedule deliver the next day -- making us a priority given our situation. read more

Customer service is terrible, and propane deliveries are late, incomplete, or totally ignored. Use anyone else buy these guys.

Western in 2021 quoted me a price per gallon, so I accepted their offer and rented one of their propane tanks and had it setup on my property in Mojave. When I got the first bill the price charged was way over the price quoted. When I told Thomas their salesman that sold me on the service about it, he said he was sorry that he quoted me the business price per gallon and not the residential price. A good family friend of mine that lives in Leona Valley said Western Salesmen lied to two of his neighbors to get them to switch propane providers for their residential servicer too. Both his neighbors are pretty mad about it. Do not change your propane provider to Western no matter what they quote you, because they are lying to get you to change to them. They also installed a broken regulator on the propane tank they delivered, which cost me over $500 in furnace repair calls to find out later it wasn't out furnace, but instead the faulty regulator they put on our tank that was causing our home furnace to go out. read more

Absolutely TERRIBLE service! Ordered propane delivery over a week ago and paid 50% estimated cost UP FRONT. Was promised delivery THIS WEEK, it is now Thursday, and no propane delivery yet. Called customer service and was told that I wasn't showing on the delivery schedule and they would have to check with dispatch and get back to me. I am elderly, disabled, and have ailments that require I keep warm. If I run out of propane before they get around to delivering to me I will have no heat, no hot water, and no way to cook. Their excuse is "we're short staffed". The last time I ordered a propane delivery I experienced the same type of incompetence. I paid for my delivery IN FULL up front, the delivery did not come when expected, and my $40 overpayment was not returned until I called them. It took approximately three weeks to get my overpayment refunded. Their excuse for delayed delivery that time, a broken down truck. I am fed up with this company's service. If they fail to deliver the propane I have already paid for THIS WEEK (today or tomorrow), I will be filing a complaint with the California PUC. read more

We have just changed propane providers after running out twice since the first of the year! Doing my research I was happy to come across Western, local enough, family run (which I try to support) and very accommodating! I appreciate how quickly they could help us and look forward to a working them going forward. read more

Great propane company! Very knowledgeable and honest. Recently switched from a large propane supplier. Western has given me unbelievable customer service and saved me close to 50% on my gas. These guys are a great family owned and operated company that cares about their customers. read more
