I don't think you can measure a business when everything is going perfectly. You measure a business by how they handle things when it doesn't go as planned. Everything has been going great, but we recently had a little hiccup when I added a whole home water filtration system. I was a little frustrated and it took a little bit to get the right person on the phone, but I'm really happy to know that they are the same company from 11 years ago. They went above and beyond to take care of the problem. I've heard nightmare stories about other companies in the area that will install something and if there is a problem, you are on your own. I see a 1-star review from someone who was frustrated with lack of customer service. I was frustrated with this too. The AI phone interface can be frustrating, but there are good people working there who are trying to do the right thing. It just might take a little bit of patience to get the right person on the other end of the phone. I do know that they are addressing this problem. Julian is my plumber and Sam is my HVAC guy and when they come to the house it's like having old friends visit. At the end of the day, that's what keeps me coming back to them. The work is solid, the technicians are knowledgeable, and when something does come up they stand behind what they do. Eleven years later, that still says a lot about the kind of company they are. I have no hesitation to call them for some of the bigger upcoming purchases that our household needs, like a new AC unit and a tankless water heater. I am very happy with how they addressed this past issue and will be calling them in the future.

Great sales tactics on their end if you are evaluating them from a business standpoint. Lots of AI interface and lack of personal human approach to business. I had an issue with my furnace. They came out and diagnosed it, and did the repair that day. Days later when I went to use it, same issue. They came back out and diagnosed two other issues, no mention of why we don't think that those things weren't present the first visit. So I paid for first and second visit. I think I should have been refunded the first visit since clearly that service didn't fix the job. Oh and the best is they already started trying to up sell me a whole new system...they installed mine 10 years ago. They were better 10 years ago.

I had accidentally given the wrong campsite number but the owner Elizabeth was really nice and reached out to make sure it was delivered to the correct one. I asked them to look at it for their $127.50 diagnostic fee. After he went. He left me 5 increasingly distasteful messages including not knowing what was wrong but wanted an additional $800 to replace something that ended up not needing to be replaced. He also wants payment right away. I paid him after work on the second day, he wouldn't allow me time to look at the furnace for myself, in order to make a determination on how to proceed. So I declined any additional work. Since it wasn't fixed and he wasn't at all helpful, I ended up finding the fix this myself by finding and cleaning out a clogged gas feed tube with compressed air. It was good as new. This dude is pushy, rude, and seems to want to guess and check parts at my expense. No thanks. There's better options out there I'm sure. ***In response to the business owner's. We found the obstruction on my next available day off of work. It would have been nice if you could have fixed and/or mentioned that to me. The only mention was of the gas valve at a cost of $800. I said I would find someone else, as this was not my intention to fix this since we had already tried. We got lucky. I would have gladly paid more than your diagnostic fee if you had the ability to fix it. Yelp reviews can be fakes now. I like to use local, small businesses whenever possible, and his reviews were excellent. My mistake was not noticing how old they were. He advised it would take 4 to 4 1/2 hours to complete. He was there 5 hours when my realtor had to ask him to leave for the open house that was being held that day. He came back afterward to finish the roof inspection. He failed to complete an inspection for the kitchen due to "time constraints". However, he had time to note that there was a pet door that was a "safety" concern. He also stated that some items were issues that he was clearly wrong about ("minimal" strapping on a water heater that had 2 straps from a newly purchased kit and a third steel strap, replacement windows that he stated were the "builder type from the original construction"). While I appreciate thoroughness, spending time nitpicking every minor detail in a 61 year old house but not completing the full inspection I paid for is not acceptable. He did not get my name right on the report, even though I wrote it for him on the contract I signed. He did not provide the hard copy report that was promised, nor did he email it to me - I had to get it from my realtor. I'm giving him a 3 for thoroughness. If you have unlimited time to wait for this guy to complete the inspection, go for it. He may have been a great inspector in his prime, but personally I think he needs to hang it up and retire already.
