The grilled chicken had a good taste albeit overly seasoned. The accompanying rice pilaf was satisfactory. The petite steak had a good taste, but there was a big section that was just fat. Great burgers, chicken strips are always fresh! Ask them to make your fries Cajun style, they are a lspicy but delicious! Buffet is good too, lots of choices. read more

The staff was nice when we came in the door. Didn't really speak to anyone after that. The food was well stocked and tasted ok ,however, I did catch some employees in the bathroom doing some shady things with cleaning supplies "allegedly". This place just continues to decline. It used to be an awesome restaurant with a tempting food bar. Now, it's just sad. Last time I went, (Sun, 2-26-23), was only because my Mom wanted to go. We arrived around 3:45pm, and the food bar was absolutely disgusting. Everything was a mess and all of the food were in pans that were dried out and way too old to be on a food bar. I had my doubts about it when o walked in, but a lot of people coming in and out. So the decor is a bit outdated and slightly dark, but it was clean. Food on the bar was hot and salad cold. It served the purpose. I've eaten at better places, but all in all it was good. All the waitresses were friendly and attentive. Cobbler was delicious. $71.31 for 4 adults and the buffet is extremely small. The steaks (size of palm of my hand) were all well done, even though the sign said "medium well" "medium rare" Chicken was very dry. The okra was so hard, could barely bite into it. The fish tasted decent but if you want to have a normal size piece, you need to eat about 5 of these pieces. The only thing that really tasted good was the cornbread, rolls and salad. Service was great but the price of the very small buffet that offered overcooked, dried out food. Very disappointing. The food was old and dry, they did not refill the steak, the lettuce was brown, the whole time we were eating, they did not bring out fresh food, lots of flies around and on the food. Poor selection for the price. read more

A normal buffet. Nothing too amazing there except the bread is okay. The steaks are bland and taste more like roast beef than steak. Mashed potatoes aren't hard to mess up, and they didn't mess them up. If you go, I recommend asking for A1 sauce so your food has some flavor. read more

The waitress was really nice and refilling my teams drink a lot! I wish I would've know her name! Also, I recommend the catfish and the shrimp, it was the bomb. Desert was good the cookies were pretty good, the cinnamon rolls were cold by 4:30 and the garlic knots were hard. The regular buttered rolls were a little crunchy but I lost my appetite for that roll the second bite in. Overall the service was good and all of the workers were nice. read more

Judy, Evelena and Richard the manager are very nice hospitable employees. I go this Western Sizzling about three time per week. it's the best place for me to get loaded up on veggies. They have about 4-6 daily lunch specials under 5-6.00 and Senior buffet $6.49 with a drink included plus free desserts always at Western Sizzling! read more

This has so far got to be my favorite place to go in Poteau. They never seem to disappoint, and every single time I go the service and food is beyond honorable! I highly recommend this to any birthday goers, as well as simple foodies wishing for a good meal. I never leave this place with an empty belly, and hardly EVER make it to dessert! The booths are always my favorite location to be seated, and I love the cushions in them! Very comfy! I truly would eat there everyday if my wallet would support it! Keep up the good work! read more

Stopped here off the highway to grab some lunch. To describe this food as mediocre would be generous. The green beans were heated out of the can. The boxed mashed potatoes were subpar. The salad bar was a crying shame with tomatoes being the only vegetable topping among tons of heavy mayo pasta salad and a giant tub of sour cream. The meatloaf chicken and stuffing all had an odd taste that will remain a mystery. The meal for my boyfriend and I was $30, which is the most overpriced buffet I've ever seen. The service was very good, Joel was our server and he was courteous and attentive. We ate at 7pm, and although every food tray was full, it was obvious that it had been sitting for a while, the person attending the buffet was not ensuring that the food did not dry out. I have tried twice in the past month to eat here and it is nasty. The manager is unprofessional, rude, and gross she thinks fly infestation is acceptable. I went to get spinach flies flew out of it. I showed it to the manager and she shrugged it off and stated nothing she could do about them nesting in the buffet food. I was grossed out and nauseous she was angry because I wanted a refund. I wish the health dept would do a surprise inspection because there is no way it would pass with a manager who does not value food safety or sanitation. I went in this evening for a steak dinner to go. The staff was helpful and took my order with no real difficulty. I received my drink and headed down to the end of the counter to wait for my food. It was then that I saw a cockroach running across the counter. I knocked it on the floor and stepped on it. I looked around for a manager and could not seem to find them and the staff was attending to other customers. I intend to call them and tell them what happened. It is pretty nasty and I am pretty sure I will never be back. Be warned!! If this was on the front counter, one can only imagine what it looks like in the kitchen!! read more
