Imagine my surprise when I saw the new charge of $75: after I paid for everything at once, they thought I should lose my auto pay discount even when the balance was $0 and no additional payments were required. I didn't notice that immediately, two weeks passed by and then I saw they put me back on installment payments and charged an additional $200 because I lost the discount for payment in full as well. They said, since I failed to pay that $75 charge for disenrollment from auto pay, I didn't pay my policy in full. Carmen Ramirez was my agent and she did a great job explaining how their system was crooked but did literally nothing to help me get back those two discounts. After a decade of loyalty, I am definitely switching to another insurance company, because this wasn't the only time I had issues with Allstate. Another time their fantastic system cancelled my auto insurance for no reason at all and it took me a month and zillion phone calls to get the things right.
