The team at WVC saved my dogs life. Imagine, 3:30am and you wake up your dog vomiting pieces of her Lambchop toy, she takes a shallow breath and slumps over. She's barely breathing and stiff, she groans when you try to touch her. The panic has already set in and I was an absolute mess trying to get her to respond to me. I start Dog CPR and get her to the vet within 15 minutes and I swear she died in my arms... They opened the front door and sprinted to me, grabbed her from my arms and ran back and started immediate care. I was an absolute wreck and of course not in a place to talk about payment. But it's an emergency case, and my dogs life was worth everything. I was notified quickly that she had a very slow heartbeat but she is alive, and it's time to talk treatment plans. I told them the $ I was comfortable with, and they truly made a miracle happen and performed a surgery within my budget and made sure 1) I was comfortable 2) my dog was comfortable. The team here really cares about your pets, I was even given my surgeons number and she sent wonderful photo updates of my dog. Truly grateful for the kind staff and urgency they gave my best friend and kindness they showed me on one of the worst nights I've ever had. THANK YOU!!!!!!

Eternally grateful to this wonderful veterinary office that has an amazing staff! They welcomed these 2 young rescued dogs in when their boarding facility had to be evacuated due to the fires. Dylan and Molly were treated kindly, fed well, and exercised while under their care. Not only is this office beautiful, but it is very clean, has ample parking, excellent customer service, and open 24/7 be sure it is a medical and surgical hospital. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful place to take their fur babies. *****If anyone is interested in fostering/adopting these 2 very loving, bonded dogs, please reach out to their rescuer: Ronnie (310) 804-1555*****

Everyone at reception is kind and welcoming. We just LOVE Gabrielle, Jasmine, and Dr. Ravenscroft! Our most recent visits have been with our sweet dog, Joey. He was attacked by a coyote last week, and the staff here have taken such amazing care of him. He's a lucky boy to have survived the attack and even luckier to have such kind and attentive care from this team! We are so grateful!

We have gone to Kanan Veterinary Hospital (KVH) for 8-9 years with all our pets. When we first…read morestarted going they were wonderful. They're under new ownership now and are absolutely terrible. Here's why: PURPOSEFULLY RUN UP COSTS: My dog had diarrhea for two days. Instead of prescribing an anti-diarrheal, which is what all of our veterinarians have always done, the new doctor at KVH had us buy a high-priced probiotic. After giving it to my dog, it turned her ordinary diarrhea into explosive diarrhea, which was far worse than when we brought her in. My wife and I were up all night cleaning up poo! The next day we complained and asked to return the probiotic and wanted a prescription for real medicine. Instead, they sold us a "medicine," which after we got home, we realized was another probiotic at twice the cost of the first probiotic (the first they sold for $50 and the second they sold for $100)! BTW, the same probiotic they sold for $100 is available on Amazon for $20 for same day delivery. They refused to take either as a return!!! CRUEL TO ANIMALS: The new ownership at KVH is perfectly content letting dogs anguish in pain and discomfort so long as they can sell pseudo-treatments at grossly inflated costs. They make a lot more money doing this than they would prescribing actual medicine. DISHONEST. In addition to everything else, the new ownership at KVH refused to write a prescription for actual medicine, stating they were unable to do so because the doctor was in surgery. As it turns out, after we told them we would never visit their practice again and requested copies of all our files, the doctor came out of her office to tell us we were no longer welcome. Turns out she wasn't in surgery after all and could have easily written the prescription if she wasn't so focused on selling us damaging probiotics for $150. BUSINESS IS FAILING: When the prior owner ran things, the office was always busy and it was hard to get an appointment. Now, the place is dead and you can basically get in whenever. I know that sounds good but it shows the new ownership can't retain clients.... I wonder why. We've had other bad experiences since the new ownership came in, but this review is too long and I've lost the energy for this. I end the review by stating that we brought my dog to Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital and the doctor immediately prescribed actual medicine and my dog is doing much better. Thank goodness.

The space is very clean and comfortable, with calming sounds and enough space in the rooms. The staff is very professional and compassionate and responsive. The first time we went we saw Dr. Kohltfarber. He was very kind and explained what was going on in clear language, and answered all of our questions about how to care for our dog after leaving. The most recent time we went we saw Dr. Ferdowsian. She had to share some scary news with us but was so professional and down to earth that, even though I did feel a bit panicked, I was able to ask all of the questions I needed to and I left feeling hopeful about our dog's plan of care. She also contacted us after our visit to check in and was very compassionate and attentive with all of our concerns. Because of her quick findings at our most recent visit, we were able to get our dog scheduled for surgery at a specialty center that same week to have the issue resolved. Now our dog's quality of life is back to normal, and we couldn't be happier. They are also very clear about costs, including explaining all of our options for diagnostics and treatment. We felt their costs were fair too. We never felt confused or lost, even when we brought our dog in for a more complex problem. If your pet has an emergency I would absolutely recommend them.

No one wants to go to a veterinary urgent care…read more Overall, we had a good experience here. Our boy Atticus was having problems urinating. The staff at Oaks Veterinary were very kind to us and sat us in a semiprivate room up front while Dr. Jimenez did some tests on our kitten (he's 12, but he'll always be our kitten). The diagnosis was Feline Idiopathic Cystitis and we were sent home with a variety of medicines, some cans of prescription urinary care food, and orders to follow up with our primary vet in about a week for more tests. Everything was pretty pricey at $1700, so I appreciated that they gave us the cans of food for free (which our primary vet didn't do when we eventually followed up). They also sent the records over to our primary vet, which I appreciated. I had to follow up with the office staff about getting copies of the records for myself and, when I reached out with concern about how long it should be taking Atticus to recover, it took about 5 days to get back to me. Those are the only reasons it's not 5 stars. Lots of parking and food places nearby if you need to wait.

I wish I could give this business zero stars…read more My experience with Dr. Jamshid Kiumarsi at Townsgate Pet Hospital was extremely disappointing. I took my 15-year, 8-month-old dog "Champ" to the clinic for a rabies antibody (titer) test required for international travel. Dr. Kiumarsi knew my dog's age and medical history, yet no one explained that, because of his advanced age, there was a possibility his antibody level might be too low to pass the test or discussed giving him a rabies booster before performing the expensive titer test. I paid nearly $600 for the test, and the result came back negative. Only afterward was I told to bring my dog back for a rabies booster, wait another month, and then pay for a second titer test. This delayed my travel plans to Turkey by almost four weeks and increased my expenses. My frustration is not that the test was negative--it is that I was never informed beforehand about the risk of a failed result or the option of administering a booster first. Had I been given that information, I could have made an informed decision and potentially avoided unnecessary cost and delay. I expected honest guidance and recommendations that considered both my dog's wellbeing and my time and financial investment. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at Townsgate Pet Hospital. We were referred to Access in Woodland Hills without any meaningful warning about what that experience would be like. At no point were we told that Access requires full payment up front, offers no flexibility, or operates in a way that prioritizes financial compliance over humane communication. Had we known this in advance, we would have asked for other referral options. What was most upsetting is that when we later experienced dismissive and coercive treatment at Access, it became clear that this was not an anomaly. Many independent specialty clinics do offer payment plans, transparent conversations, or at least respectful explanations of alternatives. None of that context was shared with us before the referral. A referring veterinarian has a responsibility to do more than simply hand off a case. Referrals should include guidance, informed consent, and a clear picture of what a client is walking into, especially when the situation is urgent and emotionally charged. By sending us to Access in Woodland Hills without preparation or options, this clinic put us in an unnecessarily distressing situation at one of the most vulnerable moments a pet owner can experience. I expected advocacy and transparency. I did not expect to feel abandoned when guidance mattered most.
