Not sure why she didn't simply proceed with what was asked for. We did end up with new plates ( as requested) but didn't need the lengthy talk. She said it was her job to explain the difference in price. Nope. Her job is to perhaps briefly say is was more expensive but then simply complete the customer's order. No hard sell of old plates. My elderly husband urgently needed to use their washroom but was denied. A list of restaurants and grocery store was given. Not nice to shuffle us off to other merchants ( that we weren't using). All in all painfully slow service. She was pleasant enough but don't go if you are looking for timely service. The 2 other clerks looked up but didn't intervene to speed up the simple transaction.

My wife's driver's license had expired 3 months ago as we were away and my wife not driving now as we are both retired. Should be a simple renewal. The woman at counter # 9 should not be dealing with the public. Her name tag was obscured so did not get her name. Very negative attitude and terrible body language. Made both of us very uncomfortable as we explained we were away for 3 months and didn't get a renewal notice in the mail upon returning. She took the combination BC Driver's License card/ Care Card and asked my wife where she lived. All with a scowl on her face. Fortunately the clerk next door at # 8 was fantastic and intervened. Clerk at # 9 should not be on the front line.
