Worst service ever. I bought my son a car there which I had a great experience with during the transaction. Well, that's been over 4 months ago and I still can't get plates for this car. First, when I called the DMV told me that they had sent all the paperwork back to them back in August because there was an issue. When I called the dealership, I was told they had not received any paperwork but would issue me another temporary permit while they figure out what the problem was. I waited and waited until this month, called the DMV to find out there was still no paperwork. I ask why they refuse it in the first place or what was wrong so I can talk to Carville's about it. Turns out, they forgot to collect city taxes. Called again and told Jason this information, he took the payment over the phone and said he was going to send the paperwork over immediately so I could get my plates. I waited 4 more days before I went to the DMV and guess what????? No paperwork. I called Carville's back and ask to talk to someone about this and voiced my frustration which I was literally told I should never wait until the last minute to get my plates. Except I f$@@###$ been waiting for over 4 months because they couldn't tell me they forgot to collect city taxes and even after collecting them they still don't send the paperwork. I was told that they had put the paperwork to be mailed yesterday but 20 minutes later they called and said they had to chase the mailman to retrieve the paperwork and now is sitting on their desk if I want to go pick it up!! I told them that I felt they are just passing the ball at this point and made it clear that now I will be paying late fees for plating my car after the second temporary tag is expired due to their lack of attention which Nichole's reply was that I was being very rude and yelling and cussing at her was not going to get me anywhere. I told her multiple times that I was very upset and told her that she was not being helpful at all. She ask what I wanted her to do and I told her at this time I need someone to bring the paperwork to the DMV so I can get my plates was that too much to ask???? apparently yes because she told me I was being unreasonable at this point guess what I lost my patience. 4 months of waiting for them to tell me they didn't collect city taxes and even after paying them I still have no way to get plates. It wasn't until I threatened to go in first thing in the morning to take the care back and put a nasty review all over social media that she told me she was going to hang up the phone because I had wasted all her morning with me. I hang up the phone and called the DMV instead to see if they could help me. They were nice enough to let me extend my temporary for another 2 weeks and said they have had so many problems with this particular dealership. Now the nice lady at the DMV took my information and offer to call me next week if the paperwork showed up. Because of this I miss all morning of work and paid for the temporary permit which was only a few dollars, but I have to pay for the plates since the day I bought the car instead of December due to their freaking bad business. To make matters worse. 1:00 PM today I get a call from the DMV and they tell me someone drove the paperwork here, do you think I got a phone call from them letting me know they did this ? not at all!!! l LEARNED MY LESSON to stay far away from this place read more

We bought two cars from here, one a few years ago for $13,000, which blew its transmission a few months after buying while going over Red Mountain. We had our two small children with us at the time, it was a nightmare. Ended up limping it to Montrose and putting in a $4,500 transmission on credit in it, along with multiple other small but expensive issues over the next few years. We are about $20,000 in it now. We figured the first car was a fluke, and decided to go back and get a vehicle for my wife about three years later. The process left us with a bad taste. First we were pushed to a 2014 Kia for $12,000 that my wife was not too interested in but it had all the bells and whistles I liked. While doing the paperwork, some scare tactics were used to try to get us to buy a warranty that did NOT cover any engine issues. We decided against it. After signing the paperwork, Josh Richardson pushed us very hard to leave a review on a website, so do not believe all the forced positive reviews of people who haven't got the chance to make it off Carville's lot and give a real review. Afterward, he went around the office area slapping out high fives and being very unprofessional. It upset my wife so badly she was embarrassed and wanted to leave. Less than six months later, the Kia blew a gasket and the mechanic we took it to said "Stop leak" was used in the Kia. Shame on them for fooling us once, shame on us for letting them fool us twice. read more

I had previously had a couple issues with a really nice car that my wife picked out there for our anniversary at Carville's Auto Mart in Grand Junction. First off, the sales person Rose was the best dealer I have worked with at a car lot before. She was able to work with the down we had and the monthly payments we wanted, and was quick. I did the majority of it over the phone with her, signed some paperwork when we got there, and drove off with a new car. The issues we had were quickly fixed as well when I made them aware, and the service manager Tiffany did an awesome job of working around my odd schedule to get me in first thing in the morning and all the work done well before I had to go to work. I did have a customer service issue with one employee, but that was resolved by the owner, Darian. He took the time to talk to me about it and made sure that the car was more than fixed by the time I left, as well as test driving it himself (along with washing the car). I have yet to go to any other car lot where the owner will take a hands on approach to resolving any issues. Carville's even fixed items not covered under the warranty and that I wasn't even aware were an issue at all. Overall, this is the best place I have found to purchase a used car. Used vehicles may come with quarks, but Carville's Auto Mart will go out of their way to make sure it is as if you are driving a brand new car off the lot. read more

Dealing with Carville's absolutely exceeded our expectations! Usually just the thought of going to a car dealership and haggling over buying a car is so stressful, but our experience here was just the opposite. We live out of town, and my first phone call to our salesperson, Nathan Frahm, really put my mind at ease. He was warm and friendly and professional, and always answered any calls or texts immediately. When we got to the dealership Nathan continued to be GREAT to deal with. NO pressure at all. He answered all of our questions honestly, and it was clear that our satisfaction was very important. We felt appreciated. His manager came out to speak with us about financing, and was also very genuine, friendly and professional and answered all of our questions honestly. Again, we felt NO pressure. I had done a lot of research on the vehicle we bought, and felt that the price we paid was VERY fair. I understand that this is a long-time family owned business that has a great reputation in the community, and I can understand why. Carville's has the highest recommendation from me and my husband, and my husband is a New Yorker who is not easily impressed. Read the yelp reviews and was nervous going here, but they had the best selection of vehicles in a 500 mile radius from my house. I drove 4 hours over ice-packed mountain passes to get here. I looked at three vehicles, drove two of them, bought the one I liked, and left in less than an hour and a half. The couple next to me was playing hardball on a deal, holding out for more money on a trade-in with 4 accidents. The salesman was reasonable when I would have been flustered out of my mind. He and the manager were respectful and polite through all of the discussions. I think they reached a deal in the end. My take-away impression from my experience and theirs was that this dealer works to do all they can, they are straight forward with issues and potential problems with their vehicles, they will cater to your needs as best they can, and they are really there to help as best they can. Their prices are the best I have found, and as I left to go home in my new truck, I heard how they support teachers on the radio. Next time I need a car, I'm looking here first. read more

bought a truck from carvilles and my salesman was ok, the best thing about there dealership was the service department by far, Michael or Schmitty as everyone calls him down there went above and beyond. After not being able to get ahold of my sales person when my truck broke down at my house i finally got ahold of Michael. I explained what was going on with my truck and he almost instantly knew what the issue was as he told me he owned and had experiences with these model trucks. He then went out of his way to get the part and bring it to my house and install it for me for free of charge! i was already blown away by his service but after that he filled up my tank with his own money for the salesperson not answering my calls! come to this dealership and know if you purchase a car there service department has your back! make sure you keep Michael around! 1000000/10 amazing go see him. I was looking into buying a vehicle and didn't know where to turn. Thankfully Nate Frahm helped me get an approval before I made the drive. Unfortunately he was held up when I went up and the car I was interested in was sold the night before. But Brandon Berkley came out and helped us out and we went straight for the backup I had in mind. (Looked at the available vehicles in inventory that matched the loan). He was happy to help us and was quick to get us the keys to test drive. I fell in love right away but wanted to check another one I had looked at. Didn't even make it to the end of the block. The first evening when we pulled in to just look at a vehicle expecting them to be closed a very kind salesman came out to speak with us as he was still there waiting for a customer to finish their deal. We had just come from a Chevrolet dealer in the same town where several of the staff were quite rude to us in the 3 hour process of trying to strike a deal for a used Suburban! The vehicle we found at Carville was in better condition and was overall a better deal. We came back the next evening to finish up paperwork. The children's area is excellent, the customer service from each individual was outstanding. I would highly encourage anyone to buy their next vehicle from Carville! We recently bought a 2017 F-150 for our sons first vehicle. Fransisco was there to help us the whole time. We never felt like he was pushing us into a sale. He was very patient with our son and having him test drive everything type of vehicle he was interested in (which if you have a first time driver there are many he wanted) After a full day our son had it down to a pickup and a two door car. Francisco kept it very realistic with our son. As cool and fun the two door car would be, the weather/snow and having two sisters he would need a more reliable type of car. Which was awesome because he made it feel like his decision. We will for sure be coming back and working with him for future vehicles. I have to tell you I've bought 3 cars from Carvilles, first of all they helped me when no one else would. They financed me when I had some credit issues, I've read some of the reviews, people mad cause their car broke down, this place sells used cars no telling what people do after they have been driving the car. I had 1 small issue, it was handled quick by the sales guy Jared that sold me the car. I bought the first one, kept it 18 months they bought it back and I upgraded to a newer 2013 truck, and then we got my wife a Toyota, both cars are still running fine, of course we do maintnace, and take care of our investment. Back in July '20 I moved into the area from Hawaii. I needed a vehicle ready to go by the time I got here. I decided to reach out to Carville's and my salesman was Francisco Fausto. This was my first big purchase I've had to do on my own and he made sure everything went as smooth as possible. I gave him a list of features I was looking for the biggest being either an AWD or FWD. I ended up getting a 2016 Nissan Rouge SL and I love it! I was only without a car for a few days due to Francisco diligence and coordination with my bank from where I got my car loan from. We purchased a Chevy Silverado a few months ago. This is the 3rd vehicle we have purchased from Carville's. The initial experience was favorable, they replaced the windshield as promised but the tires were NOT road worthy and we need good tires as we live in the mountains. Our sales lady "Elizabeth" promised that Carville's would replace the tires, after several calls "many that went unanswered" they agreed to have the tires replaced and they would give us $500.00 as a credit since we paid the entire amount when the tires were picked up. The salesmanship and management were extremely helpful and courteous. Cody let me know they will try to accomplish what I needed, but made no promises, therefore giving me no false hope. Bought an 02 Tacoma from them back in 2010 and couldn't be happier with the truck and the service I have received. The truck wasn't even on the lot yet but I saw it in the detail lot waiting to get shined up. The salesman was kind enough to get it out for me to test drive and once I decided to purchase it he got it through the detail shop the very next day and even let me pick out new tires for it! Carvilles sometimes gets a bad rep but I 100% believe that's because the few bad apples put their complaining on blast while the 10s of thousands of happy and repeat customers don't think to share their great experiences they simply send their friends and family back as I will. read more

I recently bought a vehicle and while we test drive the vehicle I noticed that the drivers side window motor seemed to be going out. We made an arrangement with our sales person Shannon, in order for us to buy the vehicle we wanted the technician to look at the window motor and carvilles agreed and they would even pay for it to be replaced. We made an appointment with their service department and the gal that worked in service was very understanding and reliable. She got us on the schedule the next week and they replaced the motor in our window and we haven't had any other issues since then. Very great team and easy to work with. read more
