I did a local transfer here and ended up waiting about 37 min. before the guy showed up to meet me. The employees here are all very friendly. They are happy to share their knowledge and experiences, but do not have the over opinionated attitude I often find at other gun stores. The selection is great especially considering the size of the shop. They are also willing to go out of there way to try to get you guns that they do not have in stock. All of these reviews were confirmed today when I stopped in to look for my very first handgun. As soon as I walked in, there was a quick 'hello! What brings you in?' I let them know I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted as it was my first purchase but just bought a home and wanted something to protect it. Within 10 minutes- I had my perfect match. I ended up with a Smith and Wesson revolver and also signed up for the concealed carry class that they hold there on Saturdays. Jonathan was great! Fantastic gun buying experience. A police officer we met recommended Westminster Arms and he definitely knew what he was talking about. The gentleman who helped us, Jonathan, could not have been more helpful. I went knowing I did not like my concealed carry gun as the re-coil was definitely uncomfortable. Jonathan took the time to bring out at least 15 guns that he thought might work. He looked at how each of the guns fit in my hand so that we could narrow the field down to a much more reasonable number and he recommended that I visit a local shooting range and try out the guns that made our list. The next day I went and tried out several of the recommended guns and ended up putting the Sig Sauer P238 at the top of the list. We went back the next day and purchased the gun from Jonathan. I would definitely recommend Westminster Arms as they were more interested in making sure that I had the right gun than in selling me something then and there. I wish I would have known about them before I purchased my original concealed carry gun at a big box store as clearly that purchase was a mistake. read more

Stopped in today to get a second opinion on a trade in for a Baretta .380 looking to upgrade to a higher caliber hand gun. This was the first time I had ever been to this gun shop and I was greeted by the owner John, he was very friendly and personable. He asked what I was looking for so I described my situation and needs in which he was very at-tentative and very willing to help. He showed me a variety of guns, which by the way were of great quality and through a series of questions we were able to narrow it down to 2 choices in which I decided on the Bersa .40 cal, this gun had many features and a feel that were very appealing to me. John gave me a great deal and offered me a better trade in value than another shop I had went to earlier today. Walked in the door, the place was bustling....sat firearms class going on in a side room..employees helping customers. I was there to purchase a ccw holster. With in seconds of walking in the door, i had a young man greeting me ( dropped what he was doing and) straight to welcome to westminster arms what can we help you with today? I saw the rack of holsters....well this is what im looking for now to find the one to fit my firearm. After locating it he went to the case, pilled out the same model i was looking at, checked to make sure its clear and placed it in the holster...allowing me to see exactly how my gun would fit and carry. As i was checking out John (owner) walked by, is everything going well are we taking good care of you...we talked for a few mins before he excused himself to head back to the project he was working on. Well my first time i went to Westminster Arms i was pleased, I just needed a transfer, But the second time i went there was different. I purchased a mil spec buffer tube and a new stock for my carbon fiber AR. They offered to put on my new parts which I thought was nice, without my knowledge there was a small fee,I don't like trouble so i paid the fee of $20. the first time I shot my AR with the new buffer tube and stock i was in love.But after ten shots something wasn't right my trigger was stuck. I dismounted the upper receiver to find out that my retaining pin broke out because the buffer tube wasn't installed properly. So I called Winham Weaponry and i told them the problem and they said take it to gunsmith who preformed the work on it maybe they can shed some light on it. I did just that and Westminster Arms was worthless they could only point the finger at Windham for a carbon fiber rifle and took no responsibility for their workmanship. They didn't offer anything to help, just a baffled look like a deer in headlights. read more
