My puppy had tooth root Abscess in dog . Her face was oozing pus everyday. I have no insurance for her and been looking for a place can treat her with a good deal and good treatment. I took her go to some places before I took her came here . This place make me more comfortable with better deal than other places. The staff is great, super helpful and friendly and the vet spent a lot of time answering my questions. I never felt rushe. When we make appointments the front desk always ask how our pets are doing , addressing them by their first names it feels personal and friendly, it takes the nervousness of being at the vet. After the surgery now my dog's face healing, And I saw its fur starting to grow where it was injured before.Paid for her surgery not cheap but still better deal than other places I visited before. So happy with the results .

My bunny Vader was a patient here for the last 6 years. He was a senior rabbit when we adopted him. We found Dr Greenberg through Bunny Bunch, a local rabbit rescue, as she was highly recommended. His care was resumed by Dr Foster when Dr Greenberg left. Their doctors are smart/knowledgeable, caring and give practical/ realistic advice based on the situation you are facing. The vets and their staff always handle each patient with love and care. This veterinary group has been with us every step of the way from wellness checks to actively monitoring the mass that was growing in his chest for the last couple of years. When times were tough and we thought we were going to lose him last September, in a small act of kindness, they drew a bunny Vader on his medicine bag. It made me smile when I had been worried to tears. It's those special touches that really shows how much they care about the animals, but their pet parents too. Recently, we recently loss Vader and got a sympathy card individually signed by their team. It really warmed my heart during a very emotional time. Thank you to the amazing vets and staff at Westminster Veterinary Group for all the loving care that you provided for Vader, we will be forever grateful!

I meant to write this review a while ago but didn't have the time. I want to give a huge thank you to Dr. Hueston and all the doctors and staff for taking such great care of Coco, my guinea pig.One day while I was bathing Coco, I felt a bump on his lower left teat and panicked right away because the first thing that came to my mind was a tumor. I made an appointment the very next day and Dr. Hueston examined him. I didn't have enough money to find out the exact cause of the bump, but they explained it was most likely a mass that had grown. so we scheduled his surgery. After the surgery, Coco was less active than normal and out of it, probably from the anesthesia, but he recovered very well. His hair grew back, and now his belly is completely full of hair again. Today, Coco is back to his normal healthy self, running from here to there. Thank you so much to the WESTMINSTER VETERINARY GROUP staff. I truly appreciate everything you did for Coco and all the other animals. PS: I re-added Emilio when he had pneumonia because I don't really use yelp and I think I erased the pictures of him when he had pneumonia. You can find them under the pictures of Westminster veterinary group under all the other cute animals

Bunbun post surgery! Special thanks to Dr. Rettig, Dr. Foster, Dr. Tran and Selina!!!

I am beyond grateful to the incredible surgery team at Westminster Veterinary Group. They stayed late to perform a life-saving liver lobe torsion surgery on my bunny when two other hospitals were unable to help. Their willingness to go the extra mile and step in immediately made all the difference. I was truly impressed with how quickly they developed a surgical plan and prepared the operating room for a last-minute emergency at the end of a long day. Dr. Rettig led the surgery with confidence and skill, supported by Drs. Foster and Tran, and together they formed an exceptional team. I also want to give special thanks to Selina, our vet tech, who volunteered to stay after hours to assist. Because of their immediate action and extraordinary dedication, my bunny survived a nearly fatal case of liver lobe torsion. Bunbun is already recovering beautifully and returning to her old self - something that would not have been possible without this team's expertise, compassion, and commitment to their patients. We are forever grateful for their AMAZING care and could not recommend them more highly.

    Thank you Westminster Veterinary Group!

We ended up coming here when our dog had severe pancreatitis. We went back and forth between the animal hospital who could keep him overnight and Westminster Veterinary Group who was able to take care of him during the day. It was a very hard experience for us and at one point we were even going to put down our dog. Thankfully Dr. Tara Drake-Hueston explained to us how despite how he was feeling on the outside, he was actually improving so we decided to give him a chance. It wasn't an easy month dealing with his health and there were lots of tough days for us. Despite what we were going through coming here and having everyone treat us so kindly made things easier to deal with. It also felt better knowing he was in good hands. I could feel that everyone in the office truly cared about our dog and were just as happy as we were when he got better. I'll never be able to express how thankful I am to each and every person at this office that helped us and our dog along the way. Every day we spend time with our dog I think of every person here that gave us more time. :) Thank you all again!

Two tortoise patients. Small guy is IGOR, a Russian Tortoise. Larger one is Felon, an Aldabra Tortoise.

I was looking for a reptile vet several years ago. I went on the ARAV website and found Dr. "G." Since I rescue bearded dragons and tortoises, she and her vets were a perfect fit for me. All of her vets had been trained by her in reptile care, so I trusted any of my animals with any of the vets. We recently brought in an abandoned 3-1/2 to 4 weeks old very sick and partially blind kitten. She weighed 8 oz and was near death. Now, 7 weeks later, this little girl is 2-1/2 lbs and very healthy with the exception of one eye she may lose eventually. Thank you to Dr. Hueston and Dr. Foster for the love and care they are giving our baby girl. They saved her life.

Today, my baby parrot accidentally swallowed a syringe tube from hand-feeding. It was an emergency. When I called, although they were full today, after staff relaying the message to Dr.Greenburg, I was asked to come in. Tube was removed without a surgery! Thank you everyone for saving my baby's life!

Seriousness impressed and grateful for this team today. They got me in within an hours notice when my senior cat was struggling. They went above and beyond to make sure he was not stressed or alarmed or confused, and Toby ended up being so comfortable he ended up taking a nap. They were so quiet and gentle with him, he didn't even notice when he got a shot for his arthritis. We were out the door with a very affordable treatment plan within an hour, thanks to the vet, techs, and front desk!

On February 16, 2026, I took my dog in for a rabies shot and paid a $65 exam fee. However, I felt that the doctor did not conduct a thorough check-up. The doctor checked my dog's heart and discovered that he has a heart murmur. He suggested that we do a chest x-ray, but I did not have time that day, so I asked to return on another day. The very next day, I called to inquire about scheduling a chest x-ray for my dog since we had just seen the doctor yesterday . I asked if the exam fee would be charged again for the chest x-ray, and the receptionist informed me that I would need to pay the $65 exam fee again to see the doctor before the x-ray. I don't understand why another exam is necessary just to perform the chest x-ray when we had just been there the day before. Instead, I took my dog to 5 Points Companion Animal Hospital in Huntington Beach, where he received a thorough examination. I was able to get the chest x-ray done there as well. When I asked the receptionist at 5 Points if I could return at a later date without being charged another exam fee, they told me it would be fine as long as I came back within 30 days. This experience with Garden Grove Dog and Cat Hospital has made me feel like they are more focused on making money rather than providing quality care. I will not be returning to this clinic.

Most recently I had an emergency that basically was a life and death situation for my dog! She had accidentally ingested some grapes. I tried to bring my dog in and instead of trying to induce vomit, Dr Vani recommended I keep my dog at home and monitor for 6-12 hours until we see symptoms. WHAT??. I originally thought it was weird and maybe it wasnt as serious as i thought but this would be the right advice because i trusted Dr Vani and then after talking to my partner realized that we needed to go to another vet right away. We took her to Vetco in Lakewood they induced vomit and now im writing this from the ER where my dog is on IV. We dont know if she's going to make it. I know that if we had taken Dr Vani's advice, my dogs kidneys would definitely be done for. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO BOULEVARD. You can do better. My neighbor also recently stopped taking her dog there as the treatments have gotten so expensive. Do yourself and your pet a favor and find some place else. Theyre the worst. Ive always found Boulevard and Dr Vani to be overpriced but was willing to pay as long as she gave me good advice and looked out for my pet. This showed me that she is a terrible vet and definitely not worth it! i will never be returning here and i wanted to share my story so everyone can keep their pets safe.

We came twice within a span of two months. The first time, they informed us that our 13 year-old dog has heart condition. They told us she isn't in pain and that medication would help. They warned us that she's in the later stages of her heart condition. They were able to give her an IV with medication and oxygen to help her. We asked if it was her time, but they said not yet. The staff during this visit weren't the friendliest. We took her to her primary vet the next day and got medication prescribed. We were told again that she's okay and it's not her time yet, but to watch for the warning signs and to prepare ourselves. Unfortunately, a month after the first visit, she had a really bad episode in which we knew it was her time. We brought her back and luckily the staff during this second visit were more warm and comforting. They confirmed that it would be best to let her go and so we let her cross the rainbow bridge. They were very understanding in providing us all the time we needed with her. They definitely made this process more comforting. One thing I'd say is that we were sad that they mixed up her blanket and so they had hers in the back in the wash. We asked for it back and they gave it to us wet.
