From baseball practice to Gator Football practice. My son has played many rounds of disc golf on the small course laid out there. What I reall want to ask, whoever is in charge of the park is, if you would consider adding a dog park in a section of the grounds. There are hundreds of people in Pecan Grove that can be seen walking their dogs every morning and evening on the streets of the Grove. I think many of us would take full advantage of and area where we could take our pets and let them run and play. I hope you might give this some consideration. Jimmy Wynne

Was it weird walking up and down the rolling hills of the playground with a stroller? Absolutely. But would I do it again? Absolutely. I really love how they had a rubber ground for the patrons to walk on because I'm really sick of the wood chips. I'm not sure who started putting shards of wood under our children when they play, but I'm over it. We came here on one of the handful of nice weather days weekend down here in Houston. I'm not sure how hot the playground would be during the summer, because a lot of the material here is metal, but I would definitely check it out again!

I'd recommend getting here early afternoon before the post-work rush. Easy sign in and sign up process - just scan the QR code at the front desk to sign up, enter in address, etc. Then sign in on the paper in the binder for access to either the swimming pool or the fitness center.

They have mini golfing where you can rent equipment inside the facility. They have a great playground area and outdoor fitness equipment. Inside the facility, they have a free pool and gym area. They offer a variety of classes such as yoga, water aerobics, etc. Make sure to check out their website or pick up their schedule at the facility for hours of operation. For first timers, you will have to fill out a form and don't forget to bring a large sized towel for workouts! There's a really great large dog park next door but there's no entrance to the dog park from Mary Jo Peckham. You would have to park at the Katy Library to enter the dog park.
