I was shopping for a self proclaimed maximalist who loves vintage everything, and Farm Antiques was a unique stop. Beverly, the amazing 92 year old who runs the shop, is a treasure and a sweetheart. She knows her merchandise inside and out and is a wonderful storyteller. The shop is attached to her farm, that she brought her kids up on and still resides in and she has some remarkable frames and vintage artwork, plus some unique finds and local artwork and embroidery, that make it worth a browse. After today, march 30th, 2026 , i left sickend by the way i was treated by an older woman in a red t-shirt. I have never been so insulted or felt utterly horrified that someone profiled me as a shoplifter. I was there with a dear friend of mine that was shocked at the way this woman snatched an item out of my hands and gave no warning. She stumbled over her words saying she would put it up front for me for safe keeping so i could shop some more. Then she followed me and my friend around the store. There were lots of customers in the shop at the same time we were there. As i stated i was insulted and hurt that someone would impune my character by profiling me and treating me like a common thief.
